These folks saved us from another vendor who totally dropped the ball. They were timely and super professional, not to mention they went out of their way to come back and confirm / dry run our elevator space to be sure the pieces would fit. They sent photos of the quartz ahead of finalizing and would have let us visit the warehouse, but we knew what we wanted by name already. Payment and invoicing was a breeze and no surprises on the final bill. I know they can get busy, but worth the wait (it was only 2 weeks, but since our other vendor went MIA it felt longer). Definitely recommend! read more

Stone Edge Inc. did a phenomenal job on our countertops. Not only were they right down the street (shop local!), they were the most competitive from a pricing perspective. We decided to continue the quartz countertop all the way up to the hood as a backsplash to lighten our place up even more. I would highly recommend them! As they don't have a storefront (2020 W. Hubbard), they're more than happy for people to stop in to check out their inventory. PS: Yolanda, Peter and Darek are all great to work with...friendly and reliable. read more

Great job done by Peter at Stone Edge! Measured on Saturday and installed on Friday! The counter tops, sink and island top all came out great! They arrived and were very cautious, wore masks and left the place spotless! Great communication along the way, and had very competitive pricing. I plan to use Peter for some future work on a fireplace using quartz as well, Thanks for the great job! read more

These folks did a great job on my countertops. The entire team was great to work with. Very friendly, responsive and professional. The tops fit perfectly and Peter is a craftsman. I really appreciated seeing the layout on the slabs prior to production. Overall a great experience. read more

I would not hesitate to recommend Stone Edge to anyone needing solid surface counters for their project. They are very responsive, provide very reasonable prices compared to competitors in Chicago we received quotes from, and their measuring / installation was excellent. We had 3 slabs meeting together at a "T" and their instal team made sure everything was perfect. We are using them again for our bathroom remodel. read more

Highly recommend this place! The service, quality, price and technology they use to make sure the stone looks absolutely perfect is the best you will find. We went to the larger places first and the quartz they had all looked like the machine had taken a stamp and repeated it over and over on the piece. Especially if you are looking for a larger piece for an island, the quartz options that Stone Edge has look the most like marble with unique markings. The technology they use to measure your kitchen is very impressive and ensures a final piece that fits perfectly. The seam between two large pieces is nearly impossible to see. The price of the stone, fabrication and installation was incredibly affordable especially considering the quality and final product. read more

Working with Stone Edge was a great experience from start to finish. They cut and installed four pieces of quartz in our kitchen with stunning results. They measured precisely, installed meticulously, were incredibly helpful when we explored different ways to eliminate seams and were direct/honest about their timing. Re: pricing, comparing their costs to what our friends recently paid with two other companies, Stone Edge was equal/somewhat lower. They use computer-assisted technology to measure and cut (vs. doing this manually) and seem to pass the cost savings onto the customer. read more

such a beautiful work, very professional staff and a very good customer service. I was in contact with Derick who made this experience easy and affordable. They were fast and the counter top made a big different in the kitchen. I would recommend this company to any one who is looking for high quality and beautiful counters with a great customer service. read more

Stone Edge - Countertop Installation Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Beyond thankful I chose stones edge for my kitchen reno. I started my search on yelp, as I live in the west loop and had no idea where to go for custom quartz countertops. After calling to check when I could come to the warehouse (wasn't sure if needed appt), Peters wife, Yolanda said I could stop by that very day. I met Peter as he was in middle of carving quartz and shared what I was thinking -- he immediately led me to the exact color I was looking for -- a truer white with fine grey lines. It was actually their own quartz creation although he showed me the major name brands (they offer them all) but they were all too beige. I will say it did help to know the color & style I wanted --Peter hands down knows quartz and his confident direction made the process so much easier. I paid a down payment, scheduled measurements 2 weeks out, then the install was 2 weeks out from measure. They are a smaller shop, which makes them a true find -- they are diligent with their measurements (using a laser) and they truly care about the work they do. I will be using them for my master bathroom counters as well! read more

Peter and his crew were great! We recently had a large island quartz counter and backsplash replaced, and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Everyone was easy to communicate with, prompt, and they finished the removal and installation in a single day. Our counters are beautiful and we're very happy we choose them for the job. read more

My contractor recommended Stone Edge to me. They installed roughly 45sqft on countertops and a new sink in my condo. Peter and his team did a fantastic job with installing new granite countertops in a timely manner. I went into the showroom Sunday morning. Three days later, on Wednesday, Peter came to my place to take measurements. Two weeks after, on Tuesday, Peter and his team completed the installation. The countertops and the sink look great! Highly recommend them! read more

Working with Stone Edge has been absolutely wonderful. My fiancé and I have been renovating our house for about two years and have worked with many contractors along the way. The Stone Edge team has been one of our favorites because of their excellent customer service, product and installation, and impressive attention to detail. The quartz for our island took up almost a whole slab and wouldn't fit up our stairs into the kitchen. Stone Edge brought a crane to carry the quartz up over our second floor deck and into our kitchen! The installation looks perfect and the quartz is gorgeous. They are meticulous with measuring and were great at communicating what was needed and what they were doing. The whole team was so nice and friendly every step of the way. If you are looking for counters, I highly recommend hiring them! read more

Stone Edge was phenomenal. Excellent customer service, quality products, and quality work. I could not ask for more. Pricing was very competitive. The whole team was amazing to work with. Yolanda was very responsive to quote and schedule. Derek was great to work with at their showroom. Very helpful and moved slabs to show us all samples we wanted. Peter's install went very smooth. I had an old island granite slab that he also hauled away for free. Wonderful company and will do business again. read more

In March and April of 2021, I worked with Darek Widlak of Stone Edge to research, choose, measure and install a quartz kitchen countertop. After visiting a number of stone wholesalers and installers in the city and suburbs, I found Darek at Stone Edge to be the most complete. Stone Edge has a large selection of quartz stone slabs. The choices are many and are beautiful. My calls were immediately answered (Darek had provided me with his personal cell number). Stone Edge is both a supplier of the stones but also and importantly they are fabricators, using high tech methods to prepare the stone for installation. They utilitze a high tech form of laser measuring for a perfect glove-like fit. From choosing to installation was a total of ten days. I highly recommend them for your countertop needs! - Maureen Schuneman read more

Peter and his crew did a great job installing our new countertops. The price was reasonable and we got exactly what we needed! My only small issue was that I wasn't informed that I would need a plumber to come reinstall my faucet after the countertops and sink were completed. Not a major issue, just wish I'd known ahead of time. The counters look lovely! read more

We had Stone Edge install new quartz countertops and backsplash and the quality of the work and service was fantastic. The entire Stone Edge team was great to work with and they made the entire experience such a joy. Highly recommend! read more

This review is long overdue. About 1.5 ago, I got my counters in my two bathroom replaced by Peter. This was my first counter purchase. I shopped around at a few places. There is nothing fancy about his store but his staff and him were very easy to work with and provided a great quartz counters at an amazing price. They have a side yard with some remnants if you are looking for a one off piece for a small area. There were some amazing and unique options in the side yard. I was looking for a pure white quartz and a white quartz with some grey/black veining. They beat all the quotes I got by a significant amount and even helped out with some of the disconnects for the faucet. The install went smoothly and the counters still look great. read more

Stone Edge recently replaced an island and two of our bathrooms. I was satisfied with my overall experience with Granite Works. It all looks beautiful! Also, the guys that installed it for us went over and beyond by doing some caulking around the sink in our other bathroom. I would highly recommend it. read more

Wonderful experience! I went to Stone Edge based on a recommendation from a friend in the neighborhood and I'm so glad I did! I dropped in to their location on Hubbard without an appointment and while it was a bit confusing at first (they make and cut the quartz there so the machines and forklifts are there) Derek quickly greeted me and helped walk me through their slabs. I showed him a picture of our kitchen and he made a few recommendations. From there, he gave me a rough estimate and scheduled time to take exact measurements at our house. Within 1 week, we had brand new beautiful countertops fully installed and ready to use! They also installed a new drop-in sink and hauled out all of our old stuff. The price was the most competitive and the stone is absolutely beautiful. The installation crew did a wonderful job and our tile guy who installed the backsplash even commented on what a great job they did. I would recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful new quartz countertops! read more

I cannot day enough great things about Stone Edge. My friend's gorgeous kitchen inspired me to redo mine and the quartz countertop from Stone Edge is the masterpiece! They were reasonable, quick, professional and it turned out perfectly. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend them!! read more

I am doing a full renovation for my personal house, and this company (these guys) were the ONLY contractors that were absolutely "no hassle"". They had the most amazing choices of quartz (that looks like marble) and since I stopped by their location, I got to see the super high quality, (high investment), computerized laser cutting equipment they are using - it's also a good reason why I went with them instead of a number of other companies I checked out. Derek let me see the large slabs that I could choose from and gave me a totally fair (and in my opinion - totally HIGH VALUE) price for my job within a matter of minutes as I came in with some general measurements of my kitchen. I worked with both Pitor ("Peter"), and Dariusz ("Derek") - and it is obvious that they know stone. I think they have been in business with each other for over 20 years! I felt 100% comfortable having Peter in my home measuring. I also got to see why it is that it REALLY makes a difference to have the measurements done with a laser in our home. We have a peninsula that points out at a slight angle - and normal measurements don't accurately get all of that detail. He was also able to see that the prior granite installers hadn't measured properly - spotting the small inaccuracies which ended up in us having large gaps near our stove, for instance. I am SUPER PICKY, and very frugal - Stone Edge is a top choice in my book. I think it is also important to note - Derek worked up my price with a sink included, with the removal / haul away of my current countertop, and was able to give me the install date I needed. They will install the sink as well. Make sure that if you shop around, you compare all that the company is offering - this "all in one" service made Stone Edge the easiest contractor / company that I worked with during this remodel (out of 8 or 9 so far!) read more

We are pleased with our experience with Stone Edge. - Phone calls were returned promptly. - The order was priced without delay. - The price was close to half of what another vendor offered. - Peter was here to take measurements 2 business days after our request to proceed. - Thomas and crew delivered and installed the countertops 2 weeks later. - We had countertops installed 3 weeks after walking in their shop! Going there could/might be intimidating. It is not a going to the mall or fancy store experience. They do have a clean and tidy showroom, but the place looks more like the dusty fabrication shop that it is. Being able to select one of the slabs that they commonly stock sure helped with price and prompt. Outstanding Customer Service ! ! read more

Pitor is an absolute pleasure to work with and more often than not has the best prices on stone finishes in the city. Several realtors in the city trust Stone edge as the go to resource. I cannot say enough good things about this company! read more

Piotr and his crew did excellent work on the countertops for my kitchen this spring. I wanted soapstone, which many don't do. Not only was he familiar but had some in stock. He was easy to work with, accommodated a few special requests, and handled the tricky bits perfectly. His expertise really showed during the layout. The sink in my installation was a bit larger than it should have been, so it was critical that the stone fit the contour exactly - and they nailed it on the first try. Everything came out just the way I wanted it, even some unusual parts of the layout. While the price was not cheap, it was a great value. My kitchen looks fantastic! So many fabricators are used to only granite and don't understand soapstone is quite different. It became clear to me that everyone there understands working with soapstone and many other types. Stone Edge has a huge variety in their showroom, including a beautiful onyx table. The special thing is that onyx is translucent - when I asked, of course there were lights underneath to show it off. read more

Great product, great price and great service! I just got my quartz countertop for my family room bar installed Saturday and I love it. I sent quote requests to 5 different companies that got great Yelp reviews and Stone Edge had the best pricing and customer service. After describing what I wanted (white quartz countertop with speckles), Yolanda was great by emailing me pictures of my options along with an en estimate. The next day I went to see it, got a sample and was able to make my decision. A week later Peter came out to measure. I asked if I could get it installed before we left for vacation and they were able to schedule me after another customer postponed their job. Only 2 weeks from visiting the showroom to installation. Plus the installation was impeccable. My 12 foot counter was done in two pieces and you can't even see the seam. They were in an out in an hour. Perfect! Will definitely use them again and highly recommend. read more

Peter and his team were great from the start--I highly recommend them. Yolanda was very responsive and quick to answer all the questions I initially had. When Peter came out to measure, he asked plenty of questions and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. He even made suggestions of what he thought would look best. The installers were very careful, even during removal of our old countertops. Definitely a stress-free experience and a night and day difference with our new quartz countertops! read more

After a contractor nightmare, I had the pleasure to work with Derek on correcting our quartz. Derek was very fair, professional, understanding, and willing to work with us in order to make a terrible situation right. He measured precisely, and his crew installed the countertops beautifully. We are so pleased - thank you! read more

I found Stone Edge to be very competitively priced, especially since I went with their house quartz material for added savings. After my initial conversation with Yolanda, I was able to view the slab in the warehouse before proceeding and was appreciative of that since this particular slab was not available as samples. As for the actual fabrication, I was very impressed. My kitchen design was mostly straight forward with exception to a ledge within an exposed brick wall opening. Darek did a great job measuring so the countertop and ledge would be one piece rather than two, and was so precise that the two installers needed only to chisel a little mortar for a tight fit. Since I installed my own cabinets, they went above and beyond, ensuring the cabinets were level to receive the countertop. I would highly recommend them based on communication, ease of scheduling, and seamless installation. read more

Pitor and his team are the best and I highly recommend Stone Edge. His team took out our old granite counter tops and installed new quartz counter tops. Pitor is SUPER RESPONSIVE and he answered all of our questions along the way. We are new homeowners and this was our first major project so we were not sure what to expect. We live in the West Loop and we loved that we could go to the shop to pick out our piece of quartz. The quality of the work is amazing! We love our new counter tops and Pitor and the team took their time to make sure that they were done with 100% top quality. Before the project, Pitor measured our counter tops and helped us pick out a new sink as well. We had to double check that the sink style would work with our current configuration so Pitor came out again to double check the measurements. If you are looking for a contractor that is honest, responsive, and delivers high quality work, then Stone Edge is the place for you! Highly recommend. read more
