One option is the mass-produced, fast-food yuck you'd find anywhere. HOWEVER, Farmhouse is a breath of (I do mean) FRESH air for breakfast needs. The bakery is a quaint shop with just a few tables, but a decent selection of fresh, house-made muffins, bagels, cookies, brownies, et al.... The interior is bright, super clean and the aromas of baked goods and hot coffee are a wonderful greeting. I got the jalapeño-cheddar bagel, toasted. This sucker is HUGE! The texture is like a nice sourdough; spongy, chewy, amazingly good. The flavor is exceptional - made even better by the melted cheddar cheese and sliced jalapeños on top. It wasn't spicy, just great flavor. I totally forgot to use the cream cheese she gave me. It didn't need it. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Prices are ... okay. I want to go back and get half-dozen of those bagels to bring home, hoping they have a "bulk discount."

We were impressed with our first time here, why not come again? This time I opted for the Denver Omelette. And, thankfully, had enough sense (I was starving) to stop and take a photo - but, not before adding some Tapatio. It was hot, it was STUFFED with big chunks of ham, onions and peppers and it was all VERY good! The hash browns were on point as well; crispy, tender and a lot of 'em. Service, again, was top-drawer. The new waitress (she said it was her first day) was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was like the last time ... it's a saloon! Whattayagonnado?? So, yeah, Acorn is quickly becoming our "go to." The other, local places that decide to only be open a couple days a week are sorely (going to be) missing out.

I had ordered the French dip and French onion soup and that was absolutely the worst. I think I've ever had in a restaurant. It was horribly over salted and the vinegar taste was overpowering and I actually had to send it back after just a few sips and order fries. My French dip was extremely dry and for some odd reason the orange juice sauce was actually pretty good and that pretty much saved the day, but I wouldn't recommend ordering what I did. If I'm not mistaken, we waited for about 20 minutes in the drive thru for them to finish the order and I guess the chicken was okay but the grilled cheese did not have onion rings though we were charged for it. There were about two very poorly grilled slivers of onion on all of them. Posted pictures. You'll have to look... it is ridiculous. I'm never going back ever. There was mold on my sister's bread. Disgusting
