Gross. I went here with my sister because my nephew s wanted burgers and we got two orders of chicken strips. One burger with nothing on it. Just bread because my nephew is autistic and he won't eat anything else. My sister and I got grilled cheese but we added lettuce, tomato and grilled onion and onion rings. We also ordered fries and onion rings on the. The bill came to about $106. If I'm not mistaken, we waited for about 20 minutes in the drive thru for them to finish the order and I guess the chicken was okay but the grilled cheese did not have onion rings though we were charged for it. I was a little bummed About this place. First, I felt bad for the one gal who was managing taking orders in the drive-thru and the dining room and what I assumed was the one person in the kitchen. She was patient, kind and apologetic but it was ok- i understood that she didn't have support. I ordered a wrangler burger and a corn dog. The bun was amazing but the burger felt like a backyard burger I could have got at my dysfunctional family reunion. Corn dog seemed undercooked as the cornbread portion was slightly doughy. I'm going to chalk this up as an off night because service was good and I felt satisfied with my meal for the price. read more

What can I say? NO! RUN! Don't!!! Quite possibly the worst experience ever. The BLT. BACON lettuce tomato for $8.95. Two pieces of bacon ripped in half and tossed on a bed of green and brown Wilty lettuce. The bacon didn't even cover 1/2 of the sandwhich. You should be embarrassed of yourselves to have this on your menu, let alone actually sell it for $8.95. We found out as we were leaving that another table ordered a BLT as well, only they took it back to the manager and complained. Their entire table was done eating before the lady got her chicken sandwhich to replace the LT sandwhich (you cannot call it's a B L T when there's essentially no bacon). The manager also had issues making our ice cream cones. Rather than remake them, he just tossed them sloppily into a cup, without apology, and sent us away. PS their "never frozen all beef" burgers are a joke. Salty hockey puck with just a dash of BBQ sauce to add moisture to the otherwise dry brick. How are you still in business? Just moved to Washington and got to experience my very first Zip's in Colville. Not bad. With the pandemic still going we got our order at the drive-thru and ate in the parking lot. First off, folks, fix your microphones and speakers!! We could barely understand what the server was saying and she obviously couldn't understand us. When we got to the window, she (thankfully) read back our order and it was wrong. We corrected her and all was good from there. We both ordered the cod and chips basket; one with fries, the other with onion rings. Both orders came out piping hot and tasty. The fish was flaky and flavorful. The onion rings, while crispy, were also a bit greasy. But, hey, they're fried onion rings so, okay. The (clearly frozen crinkle-cut) fries, also crispy with just the right amount of salt. One big hit for me was the tartar sauce. I don't know if they make it or get it, but it's very good! Not your typical bottled tartar sauce - this was more like a dressing consistency but the flavor is great. Barring the initial hiccup with our order, service was very friendly and efficient. Prices are quite good. We'll definitely be back - I'm ready to try their burgers. read more

Worst restaurant in town. I went there for breakfast with my grandma and it took us over an hour to get our food. The waiter was so nice and I feel bad that the owner was having him wait tables, take orders AND cook the food. At one point we had to pour our own coffee because there wasn't any staff to be found. In our way out my grandma saw this guy sitting at a table with his computer and asked him if he worked there. He said he was the owner and asked her why she had been asking. She asked what was going on and he started yelling and screaming in her face, talking about everything that's going wrong in his restaurant. He told her it did not take over an hour, that it only took 29 minutes. He said he had been timing her since she walked through the door. Then he told her he would comp her meal and to get out of his restaurant and never come back. First of all, 29 minutes is still too long for fast food. Also, I would think that the owner of an obviously failing business would be getting up, helping his staff instead of timing them to see how long they take and then screaming at customers? Very unprofessional. Not to mention none of the tables had been wiped down, food was all over the floor and there was a funny smell. read more

Wow. We went through the drive through and ordered two kids cones. We wanted a swirl and had to explain what a swirl was. So they charged us 8.79 for the cones. I questioned the cost and the man at the window said that's the cost. I don't know where the extra money went but I do know we won't be back. read more

Should have read the reviews first but we were so hungry and the line for McDonalds was out onto the street and no lines for Zips (why wasn't this our first clue) anyways, it was $17 for a "large" cheeseburger meal, 2 chicken strips and "large" curly fry. I say "large" because my curly fry bag was big but there were barely any fries in there. The large cheeseburger meal's fries were definitely not a large and when questioned the worker laughed and said "you should see the small size." My chicken tender fanatic 3 year old wouldn't touch them. It took them so long to get our food ready that the guy behind us started revving his engine at us. They even have signs in their windows, begging customers to not be mean to the staff for how long it takes. I think that says a lot. We never get to eat out anymore due to finances. So $17 may not seem like a lot to you to waste on crappy food, but it was for us. Very disappointed. read more

I drive by these all the time in south WA and eastern WA. I finally checked one out while staying in Colville. I can't say I'm a big fan after my first experience. For a place that has "fish" in its name, their fish sandwich is pretty sad; a factory formed, mass produced square fish patty breaded and fried. You can do better at a Burger King. Crinkle cut fries are my least favorite, and I didn't much care for their fry sauce. To be fair, I didn't try a burger. Maybe they're better. In any case I doubt I'd return to try one. read more

This place is my regular go to spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Awesome customer service, great value and I love the food. For breakfast I usually get either the Boss Burrito or the Crazy Browns but recently I tried the Chicken fried steak and it was amazing! For lunch I usually go with a cheeseburger and fries or a fried chicken sandwich and fries. On occasion I will get an ice cream. This place is just all around amazing. A few months back my family and I traveled to Colville, WA. for business. We heard about Zips, and we were hoping for a good experience. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The people who were serving us acted as if were inconveniencing them. The food was ok, but the service was terrible. The tables were not wiped, and our table had trash and ketchup on it. I have been a retail manager for many years, and this would not fly at my stores. I will be back in Colville in a few months, and I will say that I will NOT be eating at Zips ever again. Some friendly advice, either retrain or replace your staff. They are hindering you from being successful. Especially, if your advertising is mainly based on word of mouth and social media. read more

Unfortunately, and this is probably because this location is a bit remote, the prices seem a little high. I live in the Midwest, so we don't have Zip's there. This was my first visit. To me, this is the epitome of what a fast food burger should taste like. It was delicious. The fries were great as well. I really liked the fry sauce they serve (tasted like a combination of mayo mixed with something). I'd like to come back and try the corndogs, fish & chips, onion rings, and mushrooms. Slow and expensive. Occasionally good food, but not consistent. The first huckleberry shake I had there was worth the extra dollar, with real huckleberries, seeds and all. Delicious. The one I got tonight tasted like strawberry ice cream with huckleberry flavoring. And they often don't get the order right. That's been our experience, and confirmed by the sign on the window encouraging customers to check their order before leaving. Just caring a bit more would help a lot. read more

We are staying in town due to water damage at our home. We have tried food from all over town. Tonight we ordered fish and fries and shrimp and fries from Zip's. WOW! Best fish in this whole town. Fries tasted like fries and not like yesterdays onion rings. The red sauce is perfect. These opinions are from my husband and he is a chef. :) We will be eating more meals from here. We shared the specialty omelet with andouille and hash browns with sausage gravy. Good split, just enough. Wonderful!

Their prices are reasonable and good for fast food....better than McD's.

We had breakfast here. It was disastrous. The folks working were grumpy and rude to each other,.. Uncomfortably disrespectful. Maybe staff has changed... but also the food was sad. We had to make some substitutions in the breakfast burrito because of dietary restrictions and they came out with barely any filling in them,. When we are in Colville visiting family there is at least one trip to Zips for breakfast, usually more! Their chicken fried steak breakfast is the real deal! Hand hammered and breaded! They serve country milk gravy on it which is the only way I like it! Some places use sausage gravy that to me, conflicts with the taste of the steak! Their French toast is great and their Monte Christo is delicious as well but I order it sans tomato slices. The tomato adds nothing good to the sandwich. Their eggs are always cooked perfectly! Staff is very friendly and food is always served promptly and hot! Coffee is served non stop if you want it. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food you get. read more

GROSS IS THE BEST WAY TO PUT IT! My family and I ate at this Zip's and it was horrible. They have 10 people standing around that don't know what is going on! If I was the owner I would fire the managers. The people working looked homeless dirty clothes basketball shorts no name tags they looked like they rolled out of bed. We wanted to order a chicken sandwich and the person taking our order asked the cook do we have chicken sandwich's? The cook didn't even know. It took 35 minutes to get a small fry, two large fries, one hamburger, and three chicken stripes. We were the only one's in the lobby! The fries were so over cooked that we didn't eat but a few of them and the burger was so over cooked and dry. We were the only people in the lobby and they had people leaving the drive thru because it was taking so long. With 10 people running around tripping over themselves surely you can get food out fast and not over cooked. The restaurant was dirty bathrooms needed to be cleaned. The young man filling the ice machine in the lobby was using two buckets and they looked gross then after setting them on the dirty floor stacked them within each other I hope to God he washed them. I didn't finish my drink after that. Anyways we will never be back and I hope others read this review. read more
