Love the ambiance, just not on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Super crowded! The food and coffee are both amazing. I like their bowls, lots of goodness in one. It's our go to place when we visit Chico.Oh they also have a WeWork type area you can rent.
Love the vibe and man the coffee is amazing! Fresh and tasty packs a punch and is roasted in house! I'm so glad I finally made it to enjoy the atmosphere of this great establishment. Love the workspaces and it makes you almost feel like you aren't in chico which can be a nice change. Whoever the designer and mastermind is behind Stoble bravo job well done! The menu looks tasty too and I can't wait to go in for another visit.
Excuse my language, but HOLY SHIT THAT AVOCADO TOAST!!!! The base is the most incredible crusty sourdough bread with a beautiful soft and airy inner texture, thick crunchy crust, and a wonderful depth of flavor. The avocado was perfectly ripe, topped with luxurious olive oil, herbs, the perfect amount of thin lemon peel strands, and a flakey salt that gives you a gentle salty pop every now and then. Each bite is a little different in the best way. I wish I could describe what that oil does when you notice it. I didn't know a fat could enhance a fat but wow, it really can when it's done right.
So, I love this place. I don't come to work or study, so I can't speak on that- but we come to grab coffees and sit for a spell (as they used to say), then use the restroom and leave. We've always experienced really friendly service and I love all the different sitting areas they provide. We especially love that rooftop area! What cool views! It's like a Hallmark movie up there lol. The restrooms are clean enough and a great alternative to the port a potties offered at the ice skating rink access the street lol. The coffee is strong and I love their lattes. My kids enjoy their treats and kid drinks, too. Their dad likes it bc it keeps me fr complaining about going to that ice skating rink and that restroom situation. I don't live in Chico, but I'm here often for errands and I like Chico, so I come for random stuff. I also have to do events at the college near enough to this coffee shop, so I make sure to stop in to grab coffee before my work events. I think they should stay open later hours though. Parking is usually ok, but depends on the day and time. It's only street parking. I'm fr the city and my parallel parking skills are ok lol but if you can't, you can always back into the weird spots on the park across the street. I will say- there was a young homeless guy laying down on a couch in that glass middle room thing, kind of chilling, but I think for safety reasons, they should be more on top of that bc he was too close to the woman's bathroom for my comfort. Plus it wasn't sanitary. I know that's not PC, but it ls a factual situation that if it were to become a more common occurrence, would stop me from returning. For now, I love grabbing coffee from here when I'm in Chico a few times a month.
Walked in on a Sunday morning. First time customer. Staff was nice. Ordered up some breakfast sandwiches. Mine had bacon jam so I was excited for that. Grabbed a coffee and relaxed awaiting my Stoble breakfast sandwich. Sandwiches arrived and mine was tip top tasty! When I'm in downtown Chico again I'll return 5/5!
Rating based solely on my breakfast sandwich experience. The gluten free life is sometimes difficult, but I'm gonna make a bold statement here and this may have just been everything coming together on this visit but this was the best GF breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Not only was it toasted to perfection, all the flavors blended so well together, eggs cheese and avocado and they did NOT skimp on the avocado, which was perfectly ripe with no bad spots, which contributed to the perfection which most likely doesn't happen year round. I did not go inside as I had one of my pups with me, but outside looks cute and had a couple tables, not super shaded. Hubs also gave 5 stars to his sourdough breakfast sandwich, see Chris G review. My drink was lemonade which was good enough. We do not live in Chico but have close friends who do, I will 1000 percent be coming back here next time we are in town.
Came here on a Saturday around 2:30pm, and it was pretty full in the seating areas, but still plenty of space upstairs. The line for coffee was short to none. Service was quick and the baristas were friendly and inviting. Our coffee itself was delicious. Good quality beans and not too sweet.
I'll get straight to the point and say, I don't care for Stoble but let me elaborate as to why. First things first the food is great, (I've had it multiple times), the beverages I can't speak to. I ordered a Garden Veggie Sando, and an iced tea that I paid .75 extra for lemonade (that the barista that didn't care if I lived or died, forgot to put in there and then added it as an after thought). Aesthetically, it's very cute, a vibe but incredibly inconvenient that there are no free outlets (that you don't have to pay extra for?). The icing on the cake was the aforementioned barista that looked straight out of the 17th century. She came off dry and rude. No thanks! If I'm going anywhere and spending $22 on an iced tea and a sandwich, I'm going to DayCamp BUT as always, give it a whirl.
What a cute coffee shop in the heart of downtown Chico. They have 3 levels and the place is quite expansive. Their signature latte was so smooth and delicious that I decided to get a pack of coffee beans to take home. This place is great for doing some work or meeting up with friends!
Food is very good-ricotta toast was creamy and a sweet jam on toasted blonde sourdough. Liked the porridge and the granola and yogurt. Order was taken by a lovely woman that made sure to read our order back to ensure it was correct. Medium roast drip was good (but dark roast is my favorite). One MUST check out the rooftop-lots of seating looking out on the tree tops and attractive roof top view of downtown.
I ordered the lavender latte (iced) and a chocolate croissant. Both were good and I would recommend giving them a try. Service was quick even though they were pretty busy. The coffee shop has 3 stories and one is a nice outdoor location. Even though it was packed we were able to find seats no problem in the outdoor area. It was wonderful and relaxing. If you are in the area, I recommend giving this place a try. Also, if you buy a bag of their coffee you get a free cup of their drip coffee. It was a nice surprise!

Been here a few times and love the atmosphere! This is a great place to study or hang out with friends. It can get pretty busy, but there are many seating options and a beautiful rooftop area. The coffee and food are good but a little pricey. The staff are also quite friendly! read more

Stopped here to fuel-up for a drive to Sacremento and I am sure glad I did. The parking is super convenient and as soon as you walk inside, you're greeted by a beautiful three-story shop with wood tones, brick walls, healthy plants, fresh coffee aroma, and friendly staff. I wanted something sweet and something savory to start my morning and both pastries, the ham and cheese croissant and fruit boat (a blueberry danish), were golden, flakey, and delicious. I got my honey lavender latté iced (not blended, as it comes on the menu) and it was UH-MAZING. Perfect to fuel me up for my drive and flight out of Cali. I highly recommend this place! They even have a separated workspace for those who choose to work remotely from here; it's quiet and separate from the rest of the shop - so convenient! read more

Stable is SUCH a cute workspace and coffee shop. There are three levels, endless tables, and couches and other flexible seating. The chocolate croissant was spot on. I only docked a star because the latte was slightly bitter. Maybe that is my own issue because it was too strong for me? My husband thoroughly liked the coffee! read more

So the Pham and I were traveling to Redding and Shasta, and just so happened to find Stoval in Chico and I cannot say how sad I am that I don't live in Chico because this coffee shop/work space is 1000 out of 10. The vibe is so chill. The coffee was so good. We got like a yogurt parade and a ricotta and jam toast off the chain. Everything was so good. The atmosphere in the ambience was so, so good. I can't even one of the best coffee shops. I've been to in my life. Employees were super cool, and just see amount of work. Space that there is for somebody to just come have their coffee and either scroll on line or get content done or study or meet up with somebody whatever it is such a cool place. I would definitely travel to Chico again. Just for this coffee shop. read more

Great place to come for a coffee date, to study, or to just sit and work. My husband and I feel like we're at a coffee place similar to ones we've tried in LA when we come here. Decor is adorable, plenty of space for all (even when busy), and the view off their balcony is beautiful. We've tried lattes, mochas, and the breakfast sandwich. Everything has been yummy each time we've been. Vibes on point too. read more

I can admit it- I'm a coffee snob that is not easily impressed. I visited Chico for the day from Sacramento with my friend and since Equilateral Coffee was nowhere to be found on a Sunday we ended up here. First off, the space is huge and gorgeous, with tons of seating and natural light. Apparently it's a combined coffee shop and workspace concept that spans 15,000 square feet and three stories. There's even a rooftop patio with outdoor fireplace and a terrific view of downtown Chico. Just from a design perspective alone it is fabulous. I was going to order my usual oat milk latte but when I heard they had a pistachio rose one instead I had to switch since that flavor combo is my favorite in a specialty latte. Made with their flagship espresso, my drink was flavorful and velvety, just as I hoped. In a time when seating is still slim in coffee shops and to-go cups are still the norm, it was a wonderful experience to have a coffee in actual drinkware and sit down with a friend for a conversation. Bravo Stoble Coffee. I will definitely be back. read more

Fantastic three level coffee shop + work station in downtown Chico. The monkey bread is to die for. We ordered hot and cold coffee drinks and a yogurt bowl. Everything was so fresh and delicious. It was early morning so the rooftop covered patio was the perfect spot to enjoy our breakfast. The interior areas are light and airy and fully air conditioned. I highly recommend visiting if you're in the area! read more

I love this place. 4 out of 5 stars because it is very expensive. Great ambiance, and free wifi. I also LOVE the rooftop patio! I am a huge sucker for patio seating, but this outside rooftop space made me one happy gal! The frozen drinks are good, but $7-$8 for what is similar to a Grande Starbucks frap feels like a stretch. The açai smoothie was just ok. read more

Wow, just wow! I feel like I am in the city! Is this Chico? The little town of chico? I must have been transported. Nope, the roof-top view is definitely downtown, a lovely view of the park. A total of 4 levels of amazing-ness. Open air concept, tons of seating, different levels. An architectural heaven. This place was done by someone who really knows their planning. Coffee...all different styles, baked goods, and sandwiches. Oh, my, goodness. The latte was amazing. Rich and creamy. The chocolate croissant was delightful. If I lived in town, I would be going here all the time! Go chico!! read more

Food 2, Coffee 4, People 5, Layout/Design 5. I'd been wanting to try this out for a while and recently met a friend for breakfast. The photos on Yelp are very representative of the space, which is nicely designed with wonderfully tall ceilings, nice light, and a fun upstairs roof deck. We both ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich and drinks. Unfortunately, the sandwich was just awful, super, super greasy. The egg was OK, the bread ends up sort of hard with the sauce just oozing out of it. The bacon jam had no flavor at all and certainly not that kind of meat contrast you're looking for in a breakfast sandwich. I actually was unaware that there was any meat in it until I went back and looked at the menu. With each bite, you have to wipe your hands off from the oil. Neither of us attempted the second half of our sandwiches. My latte was very good and I was glad it was served in a ceramic mug and not a glass. My friend's coffee seemed OK although I did notice that she didn't finish it. The people seemed fine, but it did take a long time to get the drinks, one of which was a mistake, and then it was a really long time for the sandwich. The tip menu started at 18% which seemed a little high and yes, I could do custom, but you get distracted when you're with a friend and a lot is going on. Overall, I would probably come back, but I wouldn't try the food again. This just seemed so far off the mark, it's hard to imagine the other items would be better. read more

I found this place early last year on social media so I've been lurking their journey and eagerly waiting for their opening! | v i b e | The decor and aesthetic of Stoble is both modern and homey. It reminds me of the many coffee shops I used to go to when I lived in LA. I've been desperately searching for that similar vibe here and am so glad Stoble provides it! I adore the rustic wooden accents and plants with the high ceilings and big windows that bring in natural light. | m e n u | Love the simplicity and variety of menu items! The prices are pretty standard and not overpriced. 1. Iced honey lavender latte with oat milk: A CLASSIC. Not too overly floral and sweet. Would recommend this iced bc I think it allows the lavender to shine more. 2. Breakfast sandwich (with no cheese): SO SIMPLE BUT SO DELICIOUS. There was too much aioli for me, but I won't deny that this is a SOLID brekie sando. The sourdough is toasted to perfect and the BACON JAM MAKES IT. P.S. they only offer oat & macadamia milk as dairy-free alternatives (these are the superior nut milks anyways). | t l ; d r | A modern and hip coffee shop in downtown that delivers quality coffee and delicious food!! Can't wait to regularly stop by and hopefully do work here (once it's safe again). ALSO a big thank you to Stoble for being great with COVID precautions (e.g. encouraging social distancing inside/outside the store, mask-wearing, hand hygiene, etc). Felt safe there during my visit even though it was a busy Sunday morning. read more

Located in downtown Chico, Stoble Coffee had more than Cafe! There's breakfast sandwiches and vegan options. They view from the roof top is amazing and there is also a basement which has an office feel where you can read or get some work done. It's a college town but it was during the break so it wasn't too crowded and family friendly. read more

Love this place, such a gem to find in the city of Chico. this is my go-to spot for light snack and their delicious drinks to cuddle up with a book or get some work done. Amazing roof top ambience and different floors offering variety of space for individual needs. Prochetta sandwich was amazing. Will need to come back for the variety of toasts and lavender flavor drinks. read more

The food and drinks here are top quality and filling. I usually get the grilled cheese because it's super sweet and savory but I needed something light. This salad did the job! Stoble is always aesthetically appealing to the eye in every sense; the food, the rooftop seating, and even the beautiful latte art. The pricing isn't too bad either. My only eensy complaint is their hours and not having many sockets to charge devices at the rooftop. read more

We came to town to visit some friends, & visited Stoble Coffee both mornings we were here. The lines were long, it took about 10-12 minutes to get to the front, as is expected on a weekend day, & it was a comfortable environment so waiting was not inconvenient. The people who helped us at the counter both days were very kind with good recommendations for drinks! I felt super comfortable deciding what to order & they made me feel like I belonged in the space. I got an iced americano the first day & a small honey lavender iced latte the second -- both were so good & very reasonably priced! We also got the avocado toast & stoble toast which were super yummy. On top of that, the space that Stoble has created is truly incredible -- the building has four stories, with lots of seating, natural light, space to study, catch up or play cards with friends, people watch, etc. The top story is on the rooftop, which is a lovely spot to relax & sit in the shade. Another unique thing about Stoble is that about half of the building is a dedicated co-working space, in which individuals or teams can rent out office spaces, conference rooms, etc. to use for indefinite amounts of time. It was so comfortable & I loved getting to see the space. If I worked from home, this would be my place. I am so glad we got to spend time at Stoble when we were in town!! Really nice place to get some coffee with a spacious inside to sit and enjoy the coffee on different floors. Got a caramel latte with oat milk and a cold brew coffee. Overall, I thought the drinks were nice and tasted good. The only thing that stopped me from 5 stars was that the workers were pretty standoffish and not so friendly. I would like to return to try out more of their selection, however! read more

What is there to NOT love about this place? There's four levels of spots you can potentially drink or eat at, friendly service all the time, with wifi and outlets for studying or doing work. The interior is gorgeous, as is the rooftop--which also has shade. Lots of comfortable lounging areas, baked goods sourced locally, delicious drinks. I haven't tried their in-houses food menu aside from a charcuterie board, which was pricey and yummy. My go-to is usually a matcha latte or a decaf mocha, and I love their decaf beans. The company I bring over here love their drinks too: honey lavender latte, Gibraltar, mochas, lattes. I did have two guests who didn't really like their blended drinks. The parking lot in the back is also a nice plus from having to pay for parking in downtown Chico for days I can't bike or walk over. read more

I am a barista with 3+ years of experience (franchise & artisan coffee), and I have tried coffee shops in cities all over the world. When I tell you this gem in Chico may be my favorite of all time, I am not kidding! The ambiance is unbeatable, and their three-story space (coffee shop, loft area with seating, and rooftop patio) is clean and welcoming. It's clear that everything here, from the design to the food and drink, is intentional and well-done. We had iced oat milk lattes (excellent), the breakfast sandwich (solid 8/10), the ricotta toast (10/10 with homemade pear compote and thyme), and a yogurt bowl (I didn't try this one but it looked phenomenal). Customer service was excellent and everyone was so kind when we expressed that we are from out of town and wanted to hear recommendations. I came back later in the day for their iced flagship with oat milk and a cute t-shirt. This place stole my heart, and I will absolutely be back when I'm next in Chico! read more

This place was stunning! Not from the area but would highly recommend it to anyone who is in Chico and need a spot for a coffee/tea. Beautifully laid out to get work done, hang by yourself or just enjoy the atmosphere or views from the rooftop. The person on bar made a killer latte and tea and the person on register was very helpful and patient! Wish I walked out with some of the merch!! read more

Good coffee, even greater venue. There's truly nothing else quite like Stoble in Chico. This newer spot has completely revolutionized the city's downtown. Stoble is the type of hip, modern place you'd find in the hub of a big city. I'm fortunate to have a place like it in my little town. Everything here is cutting-edge and cool. Four stories of seating including a cozy basement and the neatest rooftop deck with some of the best city views, comfy places to sit, an imaginative food menu, and a whole separate wing dedicated to co-working facilities. The prices are certainly on par with the "urban" vibe this place has, but I don't mind. I love ordering a cup of their cold brew and walking up to the rooftop deck. It's usually peaceful up on the top and a nice respite from the craze of the sometimes-unpredictable downtown city plaza folk. If you're in downtown Chico, this awesome spot is a must-try. read more
