Rice Noodle Bowl

The code was absolutely amazing, and I lied to desserts. But to be honest I wasn't wowed by the main menu. The food was good but nothing really exciting by way of flavor execution or creamy with the dishes that I would expect from an upscale restaurant like this. We also found the service to be really slow. We only saw our waiter to order, and get our check. It took a while to get our food, and our water glasses were not filled very often (maybe twice in the two hours we sat outside). You definitely pay for the view, but it is truly amazing. The restaurant overlooks the last hole on the golf course with the expansive bay behind it. Overall the food isn't very exciting and I probably wouldn't be rushing back here for anything except the view and atmosphere.

Dinner and dessert was amazing -- got the Wagyu which was cooked perfectly. Our server Tessie was so kind, outgoing, and absolutely made our tables night (celebrating two graduations and one birthday!). Would definitely come back again.

Stopped by for a quick bite for lunch and had a great experience. Our food and drinks came out quick and our server was super friendly. The food isn't anything special but the views make up for it.

So so good!! My dad found it and it was such a pretty place. Everyone looked happy and being able to look at the golf course and water from where you were sitting was amazing. The food was awesome and my burger was super juicy. Loved everyone there and the service was good.

Stillwater is a recently renovated restaurant inside the Lodge at Pebble Beach. We heard good things from our friends, so we decided to bring my in-laws who were visiting us, for dinner. We first chose to sit at the visually appealing bar that overlooks the breathtaking view of the 18th hole. Our bartender, Jeff, was knowledgeable, professional, and pleasant. We really enjoyed talking with him and he made us some of their wonderful signature drinks! My favorite was the Double Oak Old Fashioned. As we were seated for dinner, our server, Erin, greeted us and helped make our dining experience one of the best. We started with the Brie and Mushroom Toast as well as the Abalone. Simply amazing! My mother-in-law had the Burrata Salad with Prosciutto. She said this was one of the most delicious salads she'd ever eaten! We ordered several different entrees so we could share. I had the Blue Cheese Crusted Filet, my husband had the Mafalda Pasta with Scallops, and my in-laws shared the Tomahawk Steak. Each entree was cooked to perfection and tasted out of this world. We didn't think we had room for dessert but decided to order the decadent chocolate cake, which I highly recommend! Our overall experience at Stillwater was five stars from beginning to end. We look forward to returning to this first class restaurant soon!

Randomly ended up here while driving along the 17 mile drive after we started to get the munchies. So happy that we did. The view overlooking the golf course with the mountains and ocean is absolutely stunning. Postcard worthy. We just grabbed some nibbles but underestimated how much we'd love them. Do yourself the honor of ordering the tuna tartar and the calamari. Send me a note about how blessed you are to have had me provide you that recommendation.

A Special Day, a special girl, and a special lunch...oh yea. M came out for a visit and I had a few adventures planned. The 17 mile drive was on her list so I added a Monterey windshield tour. I had made reservations a month a head to be safe, it was a good idea. Once we got parked it was a bit of a challenge as the restaurant is in the hotel...ah...okay then. We were seated immediately in a nice booth against the window looking at the 18th hole, that works. Presented with the tried, perfected, and very distinguished entrees and morsels worthy of tasting. Ordering was difficult because it all looked so interesting and you know it would be really good too. To cut to the chase we ordered, M had Clam chowder, and the snapper fish and I started with abalone and a lobster sandwich. Everything was very good as one would expect at this level. The service impeccable and surroundings just extraordinary. Do yourself a favor and take your next best on an adventure up there. big points mate, wink wink... foodguy-martin

The restaurant is located inside the luxurious Lodge at Pebble Beach and has gorgeous views of the golf course and ocean. There are large windows overlooking the golf course. There's also memorabilia and trophies from the US Open golf tournaments outside the restaurant for golf enthusiasts to look at. Service is not the most attentive but friendly. We've tried the halibut with farro and fish and chips. Portion sizes are decent with good flavor. However, there were lots of fish bones in my halibut. We went for my birthday and they surprised us with a free dessert to celebrate. We've been a couple times and would go back.

Great place to go The view alone is worth it! Food was amazing I had the omelette with shrimp which I highly recommend and the French toast was so good. Food was priced reasonably well for where you are and the view, I think the drinks are a little higher. Walking below along the golf course is nice to do afterwards

GORGEOUS views. This is RIGHT on the 18th hole. Umbrellas if you need cover and also indoor areas to sit! We ordered a quick snack - truffle fries, crab, and the shrimp taquitos. You MUST get the crab. So good. Truffle fries were oily but still yummy. Fast service and good vibes!

This was a stellar experience 10/10. The view alone was worth the drive. 17 mile drive was amazing, and if you let the people at the gate know they will not charge you admittance. The oysters were 8/10, I have had better in SF. The clam chowder was a small cup with grilled garlic bread on the side, heaping with bacon bits. Pretty good, but definitely pricey. The swordfish sandwich was a 7/10. Nice piece of fish that was cooked well, but the flavor was lacking. The only thing with flavor/salt in the sandwich was a huge slab of pork belly. The chocolate cake was the star - 10/10!!!! Come here for the view and experience, not for the food.

A very fancy place with great views in Pebble beach. The menu is very seafood focused, but does have some steak items. We had a round table in the corner with incredible views. Our server was a doll and got us anything we wanted. It had been a few days of eating, so no appetizer for me, but everyone else got one, the one that looked the best to me was the soft shell crabs. I ordered the scallops (with normally comes on risotto), but I asked if I could get the scallops atop the pasta that comes under the swordfish (with sun dried tomatoes and pesto) - It was fantastic. Sadly we were too full for dessert, but I did have a after dinner drink of a chai tea with some rum and a little stick cookie (that I originally though was a cinnamon stick). Whoa! - I wish I knew the recipe. There are a few abalone items on the menu - which you just don't see much of on menus, so if that is your jam, hit this place up.

Took a visiting friend here for breakfast to enjoy both the great food as well as the gorgeous view of the 18th green. We enjoyed all the food we ordered. Although I think the server forgot to give us bread that comes with the omelet. Coffee could've been better/stronger. The hostess was pleasant. Servers were great and attentive. Stillwater is the place when you want to take your time and enjoy your breakfast.

Fish You Were Here A…read moreJapanese fusion fish-centric restaurant located in Downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, it has had the same owners since 1975, when it was FKA "Shabu Shabu" before receiving its current moniker in 1993. The Good: * We loved the location--down a set of stairs into a dimly lit, cozy space. * And speaking of cozy spaces, we love that every table is its own private booth. Nothing is more annoying than having to dine with strangers just inches away, in my opinion. * Service was, uhhh, interesting but passable. We actually liked the dude who was following up behind our server, as he seemed like a really cool guy with definite opinions on the food. * Make sure you order their unique take on chips and salsa! Their fried wonton wrappers paired with a deliciously unique ginger pico de gallo were fantastic. * The Fried Fish Cakes (a daily special, so they might not always be on the menu) were delicious and full of flavor. * We both loved our entrées; my Black Bean Halibut was cooked perfectly--tender and flaky--and I loved the funky fermented black bean sauce. Carissa is still talking about her Almond Sea Bass weeks later, so 'nuff said. * The Warm Tempura Banana Sundae was a bit odd but worked in a weird way. We normally skip dessert unless it's something unique, and this certainly fit the bill! The Meh: * Reservations are handled the old-fashioned way: via telephone. * No outdoor dining. The Ugly: * While being underground is part of their charm, as mentioned above, it is definitely not ADA-compliant. So if you or anyone in your party has difficulty traversing stairs, this probably isn't the place for you. Conclusion: Fantastic date-night spot with great service, ambiance, and food. Highly recommended.

The chips and salsa were an interesting take and I'm glad John ordered it. I ordered the almost sea bass and it's a dish that I continued to think about for hours and days afterwards. It was so good and interesting! I tried John's dish but mine was far superior. Another highly recommended restaurant!

I went with a group for a business dinner and made a reservation about a week prior. Our server was very knowledgeable and nice and incredibly attentive. We ordered a couple of bottles of wine and she repeatedly came and refilled our glasses. We ordered the calamari, beet salad and crab and avocado salad to share for starters. All were delicious and I really enjoyed the calamari. For entrees 3 of the group ordered the daily fish special and highly enjoyed it. I opted for the scallops and they were very delicious! Wanted to start with the Spanish rose bubbly prominently suggested on the menu but was told they were out of it. Instead ordered the pinot noir (there were only three wines available by the glass), which was quite good. Started with smoked trout ceviche over lettuce to be gluten-free or over a tostada. The trout was spicy from minced serrano and tasted better with the lettuce than the tostada. The portion size was a bit small. The entrees included albacore tuna crusted with sesame seeds. It was lightly seared and the interior of the fish was a bit too cool. It came with cauliflower puree and chard. The other was the halibut, which was delicious although too salty, perhaps because of the miso-based sauce it was served in. It came with a couple of small pieces of leeks that were a bit too rich from the butter they were sauteed in. We were the first people of the evening to try the Roquefort blue cheese ice cream that came with crushed candied walnuts and honey. It was a riff on a cheese plate. It was different, and not bad at all; it was creative but I probably wouldn't get it again. The atmosphere has not changed in the past 10 years and it remains a cozy space that is not too loud.

The bacon cheeseburger was really good, the Caesar salad was a solid classic, and the fried chicken dinner was hearty and satisfying with two large pieces of chicken plus sides. The banana cream pie has a spin on it. I love the brûléed bananas. What stood out the most, though, was the service. My family is in the restaurant business, so I tend to have pretty high standards when it comes to hospitality and customer service. Our server, Razi, was truly excellent. He had the perfect balance of friendly and professional, made great recommendations, checked in often, and made sure we had everything we needed. At one point, I was feeling a little lightheaded, and he immediately brought me a cold towel and made sure my water glass stayed full so I could stay hydrated. That level of attentiveness really stood out to me. He was fast, efficient, customer-focused, and brought such positive energy to the restaurant. So many restaurants struggle these days with finding employees who seem trained, experienced, and genuinely engaged -- Razi was the complete opposite. He was outstanding. I even made a point to share positive feedback with the owner before leaving because great employees deserve recognition. I honestly could see Razi managing this restaurant -- or another one -- someday. As a fun side note, we also learned he's a singer/rapper, which somehow perfectly matched his great personality and energy. Really memorable experience overall.
