    #5 Honey Chicken
    Heide P.

I've stopped here a couple of times, believing that they were still open at 3 PM. They weren't open. Apparently they close at 2 PM or when they run out of chicken. I had forgotten about the place until it was mentioned on Reddit. Today, I went at 11 AM; opening time. There was already a line forming. I got lemon grass chicken with noodles. Partner got honey chicken with rice. Both are delicious! I didn't taste the lemon grass. No matter, it's delicious. The honey chicken was sliced. I liked it the best. Noodles and rice are very tasty too. The portions are huge; it's a cheap meal. The sauce doesn't add any thing for me as it's just hot. This is take-out only. Food comes quick. Owner is friendly. Glad I went! A true hole in the wall gem.

There always sold out. I drive on my lunch break and to see this is disappointing. Mind you they were still open for another 2 hours.

Great quick service! The food is super tasty and they make it so quick! We went in for a quick lunch and learned they weren't offering inside seating, which was disappointing, but we came back to the office and enjoyed it! The store is a little old and the ambience isn't really built for inside seating anyway, so we really didn't lose out on much. I got the lemongrass chicken with sticky rice and it was so tasty and was cooked very well! The chili sauce it came with really cleared my sinuses but I couldn't stop eating it. Great experience!

Pickup. Food is delish. Prices are affordable and owner is very nice and kind. Fresh veggies and meat. They are only open for a few hours and sell out quick. Small restaurant, in a great shopping center. Great Laotian chicken.

Honey glazed chicken with teriyaki sauce and spicy sauce

I finally found Sticky Rice open after the fourth time trying. Limited hours. I like that the menu is simple with only five or so items to choose from. Chicken and rice dishes can be hit or miss and this one was somewhere in the middle. It was good but not Teriyaki Chicken Bowl good. It lacked a little in flavor but still was good.

#5 with fried rice and I mixed in some noodles. Get extra sauce!

It is teriyaki chicken bowl. I did not care for fried rice, but I had salad and it was good. Nothing to write home about.

Drink-wise, I got the highlighted signature Coco mango shake with oat milk (whole milk in the original) and that was good. The boba was tasty but undercooked. The rice boxes don't have a tofu or other non-meat option unfortunately. The vegetarian spring rolls are nicely crispy but bland without much vegetables in them. The papaya salad has fish sauce. I got the pandan mango sticky rice. The color is really fun and the rice is pretty tasty and cooked nicely. The mango is underripe. I would have liked more coconut milk and had it somewhat soaked into the rice.

The 2nd time, service was okay and food was okay. The chicken wings were tiny, they were more like nuggets. The place was dirty and so were restrooms. The 3rd- service was ok (rude younger girl but polite younger guy), food was fair but it took a long time to come out. They were also out of most food and it was only 3:00. The place was dirty, we cleaned our own table with wipes we had. The restroom was disgusting!!! There was pee all over the floor, poop, and blood in places it shouldn't be and the sink was filthy. I took pictures but decided not to post them because the restroom was disgusting! We had high hopes for this place and gave it 3 chances, but we will not be back.

Sushiya is my goto for sushi in Albuquerque. It is consistently good, or it has been for me over the past six years. The food has always tasted fresh and they make a nice variety of rolls. I also frequent this restaurant with people who are NOT seafood or sushi fans by any means. So they have a nice variety of foods that are not sushi. In terms of the food, I'd always recommend it to anyone looking for good sushi. As for the service, which in my opinion separates the good from bad, it has been consistently good for six years. The service is always friendly. They are attentive and they anticipate your needs. This is a mom and pop place. I remember spending my days at my dad's bakery and coffee shop when I was young. Interacting with the customers and watching the place operate. Well, Sushiya reminds me of those times because they have their boy there who gets to do the same thing. So it's a nostalgic family and personal experience for me. It sets the ambience of the restaurant. People are friendly and you feel comfortable there. Overall, Sushiya has good service, it's family owned and operated. You just can't beat that! It's people who are passionate about their business. You know they care because they have skin in the game. This all shows at Sushiya. So go, check it out! Are you going to be blown away like Marty McFly by the food? Maybe not. But, you'll be comfortable, in a nice friendly environment and feel at home. Smiling people good food, affordable, and worth it!

Highly recommend the dumplings and to try one of their sake's. This was the only place I have ever been to where they breakdown what sake is and which might be best for you. We started with miso soup, which was warm, light, and comforting with plenty of seaweed and green onion. It was a great way to start the meal. Next we shared a sushi roll, which was nicely presented and topped with sesame seeds. The roll had a good mix of avocado and crunchy filling, and it came with the classic ginger and wasabi on the side. For the main dishes, we ordered pad thai and a tofu vegetable noodle soup. The pad thai had soft rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg, and green onions, plus a big pile of crushed peanuts for extra texture and flavor. It was savory, slightly sweet, and really satisfying. The tofu vegetable noodle soup was packed with broccoli, mushrooms, and tofu in a rich, dark broth. It was hearty and flavorful, and the broth had a deep savory taste that made it feel like a comforting bowl of ramen. Everything came out hot, fresh, and filling. The portions were generous and it felt like a great casual spot to grab noodles downtown. If you're looking for comforting Asian noodle dishes in downtown Albuquerque, this place is definitely worth checking out!
