This place is better than hot dog on a stick! My kid loved the mini corn dogs and lemonade.

After hearing the buzz for way too long, I finally made my way over -- and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The menu is a carnivore's dream. We're talking carne asada, lengua, brisket, and a whole roster of meats that had me doing multiple laps before I could even commit to an order. Every bite was bold, juicy, and packed with that authentic flavor that's impossible to fake. And the prices? Completely reasonable. No sticker shock here -- just good tacos at a fair price, which is honestly rare these days. But here's the kicker: they're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Midnight taco craving? Covered. Post-concert hunger? Handled. Living in Hawaii, I'm constantly reminded that late-night taco options are tragically limited back home -- and Avenue 26 is the standard I didn't know I needed to set. Will I be back? Absolutely, without question, 100% yes.

I was able to snag two tacos for $4.50 that tided me over until dinner time. Now: bring your car because there's no place to sit! I arrived on foot, so dined standing up. Quite a variety of means - I'm a "safe" eater and enjoyed pollo and asada. I loved the self-serve salsas; the green salsa was delish and had a good little kick to it. Happy to have found this spot, and want to come back! 2026: 32/100

One of the best al pastor burritos in LA! A friend…read morerecommended it to me and I traveled 19 miles and wasn't disappointed. You could see the freshness of al pastor on their vertical rotating grill and the meat seemed leaner as well. They cut a new batch of al pastor and then they chop it to smaller pieces than you're normally used to seeing and somehow, those smaller pieces preserved all the delicious meat juice inside. The al pastor was very tender, juicy, well-marinated and had the sweet and savory notes in a perfect balance and the guys adding some fresh, ripe pineapple on top was a nice touch! I got served my burrito open-faced, I added the salsa, pickled onion and chopped fresh onions and then sent it back to the crew for the final wrapping. Just a great, tasty burrito that absorbed really well. The quality could really be seen and felt and the $10 price tag was unbeatable. The customer service was very friendly and there is plenty of parking right behind the taco stand on the CVS plaza. Will definitely come again!

I watched a burrito be made right in front of me in a minute and it turned out to be one of the best burittos I've ever had. And it was only $12. I understand now. The added pineapple in the buritto added just enough sweetness. They smash the tortilla into the grill and they also smash the meat to make sure it's hot. The meat has no gristle and it's very soft and flavorful. This is why we live in California. I applaud the taco stands opening up in the same block. The line was intimidating but the festive music only made me hungrier. I am surprised at how friendly the staff can be while they are "at work". I've only seen such positivity at Howlin Rays. Luckily, the line moves much faster. They had a cactus salsa which would have gone great with salsa chips. It's the type of salsa that you get at great mexican restaurants and they just let you choose an unlimited amount of it. I asked for rice and beans in my burrito and they put just the right amount of it, being careful as to not overpower the meat portions. I also appreciate that I can add my own salsa, onions, cilantro, before handing it back to them to wrap it. Sometimes the hype of LA places are blown out of proportion especially with blog posts and social media. But I can vouch for this place. It really is worth it. I will be back for sure.

I arrived about 20 minutes before opening on a Saturday and there was someone there before me. This was clearly not his first time so I sat in my car and waited for him to make his way to the counter. Once he made his move I walked to place my order. It feels like I went back in time looking around. The entire place is spotless. Very clear menu and a few places to sit if you want to eat there. The gentleman taking orders at the window was in a great mood. Very friendly and polite. Took my order and then I walked to the sidewalk to wait. The music playing takes you back to a time long gone. Older couples walking down the street, holding hands and getting in line to place their orders where they probably have since this place opened. I ordered 2 Green Bean and Cheese and a Combination Burrito. My number was called and I made my way to the pic up window. I grabbed my box, said thank you to the lady and walked to my car. I was so excited but knew the burritos were so hot that they need to cool down. Once I made it home, they were the perfect temp and ready to eat. I started with the combination. The first bite and the flavors popped. I was surprised and wished I'd purchased a second one. It was great! The b&c were also great. I can't wait to go back. Fantastic food and experience.

I went on a Friday afternoon and did not find busy crowds at this food truck. Street parking is available and the times that i've visited other food trucks nearby i was able to find quick parking. The place is Alejandra's, and the creation is some of the best quesadillas you can get in LA. Coming up to the stand, you eye the menu and make your order, $8 dollars each or $10 for a dual topping type. There is potentially a bit of a wait due to every meal being freshly made on order, but it is a good and worthwhile wait, the staff, clientele, and food being most hospitable. At your order, purple dough is flattened to a blue corn tortilla, each tortilla freshly pressed and grilled in front of you. You watch it sizzle and rise brown, flip over, and continue its cycle to grow crisp. Topping highlights for me include squash blossoms and pork, which is chicharrones with a surprising crisp and crunch better than almost any other I've had, the ring of each bite echoing autumn leaves crunching under my feet, its condensed jerky flavour hemorrhaging in the still present sweetness of a meat once juicy. The stand provides a salsa bar with red and green sauces available, and other vegatative essentials- onion, cilantro, and pepper- serve as a lush and fresh forestry for the surprisingly substantial spice of the salsa to lick upon; piled upon the mountain of food and flavour, the green and red splatters evoked the Hollywood Hills, the red salsa smokey and particularly burning like the fires of last year. It's an addicting taste well worth the visit and short walk to sit and enjoy the meal in Echo Park. I'm excited to come back and try more ingredients for sure, very likely two or three quesadillas at a time to help expedite the process, as it can't be helped. 6.4/10
