I asked the guy to make me the sub with all of his choosing and it did not disappoint! It was very busy at the height of lunchtime so call your order in if you're in a rush, otherwise enjoy the charm of the market. The vibe is so chill and there are a couple of tables outside to relax and eat. We did have our large service dog with us but kept him outside based on someone's previous post. I totally respect a strict no dog policy especially when food is being served! My dog was happy to people watch and get petted outside with my hubby while I shopped.

As a general store there is a wide variety of things to buy or just browse. The whole ambiance will just take you back in time. What is there not to like about Ben & Jerry's?…read more Because of COVID-19, there were some modifications to service during our visit. One: there were not cone options. Two: you have to place your order outside of the ice cream shop. Three: no cash accepted (with the exception of tips). The service was pretty fast and the customer service rep was quite friendly. You could tell that they were trying to make the best with the COVID-19 situation. I had the salted caramel blondie which was pretty amazing. Also, the scoop was quite huge for the moderate price tag.

The employees seemed very bothered that we were there mid day on a Friday when we were the only people in there. No restroom even if you're a customer. Ice cream tasted like it was freezer burn. If you're like me, you probably think "pizza from a liquor store? Are you nuts?" Well get ready to…read moreget crazy, because Liberty Street Beverage makes a great pizza at an excellent price! I paid less than $20 for a 3 topping pie that was GIANT - 20" & some mozzarella sticks. They also sell they dough to go which means they make their own. You'll enjoy the pleasant sweetness in the crust. Some pizza places, you order extra cheese and they don't give you any. Not here, it was piled high. I will say the amount of black olives and mushrooms wasn't overly generous, but it was enough, my family didn't complain. In fact, my picky little nephew are a lot more than he usually does! They also have burgers, hot and cold subs, deli meat, steaks, desserts, and bait! This is really a full service eatery. If you want something, give them a call and they can probably do it. As for booze, if you're on the NY side of the border it's well worth the trip over here to Fair Haven, VT. Lower prices and a better selection than anything in Whitehall (town over the NY side of the border). The price on the whisky sour mix was a bit high but the liquor prices were good. They had this Vermont maple bourbon that my mom loves and is hard to find. Great timing for her birthday! On top of all that, the service is very friendly! I'm not a familiar face but was treated as well as anyone else, this doesn't happen in every small town as I've unfortunately experienced at another pizza shop in the area. In fact, they offered to carry the pizza to my car as my hands were pretty full with booze! I've found my new "go-to" for my pizza and liquor needs when I'm up here. Hopefully you stop by and experience Liberty Street Beverage for yourself. It's a lot more than beverages, and you'll end your night well satiated AND (if you choose) inebriated!

I'm not writing this review to discuss the produce or canned goods except to say that there is probably something there for you if you need it - not the place to shop if you want to prepare a gourmet meal. However, once you've got your meal figured out and you want a nice bottle of wine or a craft beer - this is the place to be. I was first impressed with the many different craft beers - many from Vermont and the North East as well as my favorite from Escondido, CA Stone IPA - what a beautiful site. However, once I fond the wine selection, it was wonderful. Not only were there some great local wines, California wines, Imports and wines from various other regions of the country, including a wonderful Syrah I got, from Washington. Turns out it was rated at 91 points by Wine Spectator and olnly cost me less than $20 - sweet! And it was good - not sweet, but big and bold the way I like my Syrah! so, if you need a quick loaf of bread, milk, eggs or any other essential - then by all means come shop here. But if you are looking for a true choice of ADULT beverages, this is the only place I can recommend anyone from the Lake Bomoseen KOA Kampground.
