This is a nice store. There is a quick check express across the street, but they are not open 24…read morehours a day. This is the larger store, and it is. It is very clean inside. They have a large number of gas pumps, and the gas prices are reasonable, They have everything you need from food, snacks, other food items, and sundries, if you are in a pinch, they even sell cell phone cables. They have milk, beer , alcoholic hard sodas and teas, as well as sodas and other nonalcoholic drinks. I really like the "liquid death" flavored sparkling water. They come in some great flavors, with clever names.. They also have hot food, an espresso/coffee bar, and even a sandwich shop. The espresso bar and the sandwich shop are not open 24 hours, though . They also have an ATM that does not charge a surcharge. The only thing you would pay is whatever your bank charges you to not use one of their ATMs. If you get a quick check card, you can get some very good deals when your shop. All you do is swipe your card or punch in your phone number. Most of the time, the employees are very friendly, once in a while, you get somebody who is a little bit grumpy, but hey, everybody has a bad day. Be aware, that if you want a bag, you have to pay $.50 for one of their cloth bags. Yes, they are reusable, but I have so many of those darn things, I could open up my own grocery store. Overall, it's a good store. I wish they had them in California, where I live. I will I will always stop by when I am in town.

As long as the place is semi-clean, the staff isn't rude, I'm pretty much good. Oh, and there's one other thing... The windshield washer fluid and squeegee situation at the pumps. I hate when there's no washer fluid. I hate when there hasn't been washed or fluid for days and there's cobwebs holding the squeegee in the reservoir. Typically when I pull into a convenience store the first thing I check is the washer fluid because that's the first thing I do.. if there isn't any, I go somewhere else. If there is I wash my windshield I fill up with gasoline and I typically go inside and buy some snacks. I'm guessing you can judge by the number of stars I just left, that this particular location doesn't have any.

I've liked most of the other Stewart's Shops, so when I was nearby this one and needed a muffin and some additional drinks and easy breakfast pastries, I decided Stewarts it was going to be and came in early last month (about a month ago). I didn't find any blueberry muffins (because my brother grabbed the last muffin to purchase for himself and my mother and didn't mention that he was the one until much later) and the chocolate chip muffins affected my stomach that day, the rest of the experience went without much issue or hassle. But at least when i looked for a root beer, i found a vanilla one I wanted to try instead. It's not that the shelves aren't stocked, it's just the options I'm given to choose from or the placement of the items to make for an easy route to the registers to pay. I know its a convenience store and I'm left waiting for something else decent to happen to this station that convinces me to shop here more often again. My brother's favorite bank is almost next door, and he seems to avoid this station if it isn't for our mention of stopping here on occasion when coming through on specific reasons.

I called my bank and that's when they said there's a hold for $125.00 which was spent at the Lucas Ave Stewart shop the same date and time I was there. They asked me to try to resolve it with Stewart's before I put in an official claim. So I called and "tried" to speak to a manager. She was borderline yelling and talking over me, wouldn't really let me finish a sentence, saying " No one spent $125 here I was here all day." She wouldn't do anything except yell at me apparently. So I put in a claim with my bank and waiting for that to go through. Moral of the story: I no longer trust Stewart's on Lucas Ave because there is no clarity as to what happened to the $125.00. QuickChek stations…read moreare one of my preference as the price seems to be a little bit less than others and their coffee/ cookie selection is incredible. Now I reviewed this particular chain before out in Middletown New York and it wasn't a very nice one, and unfortunately this one isn't that great either. My main concern/ complaint is the lack of windshield washer fluid at the pumps. I've even gotten a hold of corporate in the past and they said they were on top of it however I've been to this particular location two nights in a row now and since about a week and a half ago at least if there's no washer fluid.... Well actually no I stand corrected there is actually washer fluid in the reservoirs tonight, however there's only two squeegees to go around four different sets of pumps. I will attach a picture of one of the squeegees to this review as it is the most ugly, decrepid looking piece of equipment I've ever tried to use to wash my window. Not sure exactly what anyone thinks a person is supposed to do with this thing but yeah My other observation... Well actually let me go back to the coffee and cookies and once again say that they are phenomenal. I hate being all negative when there are positive aspects. But as I was just saying, my other observation is the garbage around the pump areas and the cigarette butts in the parking lot as you walk up to the door. Coincidentally I'm at the same gas pump tonight as I was last night and the same garbage /paper cups are in the same places that they were yesterday. Someone took the garbage out because they were overflowing yesterday but nobody picked up the trash around the pump. Nobody has swept cigarette butts and quite a while or at least I'm guessing because judging by the number on the ground either it's been a while or there was a group of about 45 people smoking cigarettes all at the same time. So anyway, I'm actually going to stop at a couple other locations later including the one in Middletown that I reviewed earlier just out of curiosity to see if their washer fluid situation has changed any. The corporate office said that they were on top of it however who knows maybe it takes a couple weeks for word to get down the corporate ladder to the managers of the stores to get stuff done.
