Stewart's Drive-In is really a great place to go with Your Family to have good food+great atmosphere. It is just as it was when it opened, famous for their Coney Dogs+Rootbeer Floats. The fact that you can still pull up order from your car+have it delivered to you to enjoy with the 1's that you love make it a very special place to most of us.All of the products are fresh, made when you order+are brought out to your vehicle while still hot make it even better.I haven't found anything that isn' fresh+delicious yet, well worth stopping because you will definetly be back. Their signature rootbeer and orange cream sodas are excellent and nothing can compare! But, when it comes to food, there is definitely room for improvement. I ordered several items to try, since their prices are soooo reasonable. My peanut butter milkshake was the perfect thickness and very tasty. Their fried pickles come as 3 spears, rather than the typical bunch of breaded slices. I was very surprised at how the flavor of the pickle really stands out better with the spears compared to typical slices. Their batter on the pickles was thin and flavorful, looks like it may even contain dill seasoning. I also ordered a cheeseburger. The attendant who took my order over the speaker did not ask me how I would like it dressed; so, I was expecting it fully dressed, which was my mistake. I received a plain hamburger; no cheese, no lettuce-tomato-onion, no mayo or mustard. Just a thin dry patty on a bun. I also ordered the philly cheese steak sandwich. The beef was flavorful but dry, and the cheese was almost nonexistent. I ordered a footlong coney with sauce, cheese and onions. I guess they didn't have any chopped onions and they must've put the last of their cheese that they scraped out of the jar on my philly cheesesteak. The sauce tasted okay, but not good enough to do somersaults over and it was not very plentiful. Their onion rings. Oh, their onion rings..... Let me just say that I am a lover of all things onion. There was a thin onion hidden away inside of all of that breading. If you closed your eyes and envisioned biting into a perfect onion ring, this would not be it! I would give it a 2 out of 10; a 2 because the flavor of the breading was decent. If you can find a Frisch's Big Boy (their getting scarce); try their onion rings, they never disappoint! Lastly, I ordered their deep fried veggies. Well, their menu states "broccoli, cauliflower". So, I was expecting both broccoli and cauliflower, since I ordered the deep fried veggies and the attendant on the speaker did not ask me if I wanted one or the other. Well, I got only the cauliflower. It was good and the breading a good ratio to the vegetables, although the breading was somewhat soggy and not crispy. If your looking for a place with good drinks and good ice cream, this is the place. But, if your looking for a good meal at a burger joint, this is not the place to go. I would like to add that the person who took my order and delivered my food were both very friendly. I enjoyed the nostalgia of being able to order food from my car and have it delivered. Stewart's is more low-key than Sonic, and had extremely retro prices and a great step back in time ambiance, which really helped with the feeling of nostalgia.

You simply have to love it. Root beer floats and shredded chicken sandwiches from a family recipe ... just simple, unhealthy gluttony! Sit with the tray on your car window or get it to go!!

I have been coming to Stewart's as long as I can remember. It is a Marion summertime must. An old fashioned drive in eatery with great menu options like shredded chicken, cheese ham, fried mushrooms, classic Stewart's root beer and more! Food prices are reasonable and priced per item. Car hops bring your food to the car and place your tray on the window. They also have an indoor diner bar, or a few picnic tables you can eat at. Bring the family for a throwback lunch or dinner. Kids and adults will love the experience. I try and make it here as much as I can when they are open for the season!

My onion rings were set on top of the dog, smashing it, but that wouldn't stop be from eating the coney if it didn't look like jerky?

So, off I went. I was greeted and seated fairly quickly after walking in the door. The server was absolutely a gem! Throughout my meal, I was checked on at perfect intervals. The specials this evening were their burgers!! It just so happens burgers are my favorite thing, so that worked out well. And, don't let the missing star fool you...I'm tough on burger joints, but I'd absolutely go back. I opted for the Marion Burger which included a burger patty, cheese, bacon, and pulled pork. When it comes to burgers, I'm big on proportions. Unfortunately, the patty was just a too small for the bun they served it on. Thankfully, the pulled pork helped rescued the proportion deficit. The fries were a little too salty for me, but very, very good. Crispy and hot. Last thing. The burger special tonight was an absolute steal, price wise. When push comes to shove, however, I'm unsure it's worth the full menu price. I love the ambiance of this place. Lots of wood, exposed brick, high exposed ceilings. It's rustic-industrial with a warm neighborhood feel. Gotta love it. Overall: I'm glad I ate here.
