We have a rough collie, first time went in for a puppy bath and brush (to include drying her) and she came back pretty wet. 2nd time was good, puppy bath and trim no complaints. 3rd time bath and haircut. Was ridiculous. I normally drop off the pup, but my husband did and he didn't know exactly what she should get. Groomers are supposed to have knowledge of the breed, and how to cut even double coated dogs and showed gross negligence. Double coated dogs aren't supposed to be shaved for safety (they can overheat, get sunburnt etc.) and my husband didn't know, he was going off of advice from what were supposed to be professionals. Our pup came back shaved to almost nothing, with behind one ear being shaved to nothing in a chunk but full (not bother like the other one) behind the other ear. 4th time. Bath and brush. My appt was at 11:30, I called 1 minute past to let them know I was running a little late but was on my way. The call rang for a long time then when it was answered it went to someone talking about their child's anger issues and I repeated said hello, are you there. I hung up and called again. Finally got ahold of them at 11:35 (didn't bring up the 1st call and was friendly to them) and the manager said that it shouldn't be an issue. We were in the parking lot walking in at 11:45 and got a call back saying that they cancelled my appointment and had to rebook later. The appointment takes a few hours, around 3 hrs so I'd have to rearrange my whole day. The manager kept saying they couldn't get me in because the person who was scheduled for us had 10 dogs that day. Which isn't my problem when I communicated immediately and was told it would be fine. They said they had a time leniency, which they didn't even follow because they cancelled it before the grace period (since I called a single minute after the appt time).

When I walked in, everyone was so kind and gentle--I felt safe right away. They gave my paws the royal treatment, trimming all that wild floof into neat little feet again. They do a great job of making sure the dog parents know what the exercises are and give tips on how to help coax the dog along when they are just learning things. Amazing patience and upbeat attitudes and every dog we have done group classes with love the instructors. What I also appreciate is Tracie does a great job of listening to what you want to accomplish with your dog and helping you get in the right classes - without trying to oversell anything.
