However, it is double the cost of our previous kennel. We went on a short trip to Charleston SC using our Bluegreen Points. Our lodging on Bay Street was less expensive than our little dog's. Let me start with the positives: The overnight dogs are mixed with the doggie day care dogs for socialization. The kennel required a 2 hour temperament check prior to acceptance of the reservation. Our little guy loved it. The small dogs are separated from the big dogs. The medium sized dogs go in either group depending on personality. The groups rotate between inside and outside space and their kennel. Kennels are extremely clean with a little cot. Dog poop and urine are immediately taken car of. Total areas are sanitized 3 times a day. Employees are knowledgeable and nurturing. There are video cams and you are given an access code to watch your dog's group. They don't currently have a groomer but the groom shop was clean and they are pursuing a new groomer. Very kind and loving environment. Negatives: Cost, $$$$. The price was $41/day. It may be more for a larger dog, I'm not sure about that. On top of that there is a $10 charge if you drop off before 12:00 pm. There is another $10 charge if you pick up After 12:00 pm. That can be $51 for your first and last day. It is that extra $10 fee that I have trouble with. They are open 7:30am-7:00 pm. In Savannah, you definitely get what you pay for. Our former kennel had great nurturing people but hair everywhere and no play sessions. The Bark kennel has incredible standards and lots of interaction with nurturing staff but it will cost you. About 90% sure we will return but may search to find a place in the middle. You get what you pay for.

Everything was clean and easily accessible.. plenty of towels within reach and three types of shampoos to choose from. What I loved even more than the clean store and bathing area was the friendly staff! As soon as I walked in I was greeted and my pup was showered with love and treats. Another cool thing about Tails Spin is the frequent bather club and punch card for Blue Buffalo dog food! My friend shared their website with me to book my first appointment, but I didn't see any dates that worked for me, so I decided to reach out later. To my surprise, the salon texted me the very next day asking if I had any questions since I'd registered my pup but hadn't scheduled yet. Now that's great customer service! They were able to fit me in with a new groomer the following weekend, which was awesome. On the day of the appointment, the salon is located in a small strip mall just off DeRenne Ave. There's plenty of parking for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. The lobby is small but clean honestly, it doesn't need to be fancy; it's a dog grooming spot, after all! What I really loved was the grooming area. It's set up kind of like a mini doggie daycare no cages! The dogs are free to play with each other, which made me feel so much better about leaving my dog there. Tobi was initially hesitant, but as soon as he saw the other dogs, I basically became invisible. LOL They texted me within an hour of dropping him off, which was way quicker than I expected for a bath and cut. Plus, their prices are really reasonable. They also offer fun spa packages like fur gems, fur feathers, chalk fur painting, and even hair coloring! If you're looking to spoil your dog, they've got a birthday add-on with a birthday cake shampoo, paw cream, a photoshoot, and more. The sweetest touch was getting a "report card" text after I picked Tobi up. It included a before-and-after picture along with a note about how he did during his grooming session. Every person I've met so far, including the owners, is super friendly and genuinely loves their job and the dogs. That's so important when you're trusting someone with your furry friend. I have been using their services for a little over three years now. Every day or at least 3 times a week I get an email blast from them advertising care and medicines for sale. That practice alone gives me the creepy crawlies. But also when I take my dogs in for tech work, such as a monthly shot, Im hounded by extra costs and unnecessary exams and tests. If they had their way, what should be a 90$ visit explodes into a $300 visit. One year ago, the monthly Librella injection cost $70 with tech, today it is $101. One year ago, the proheart 6 injections were the "less expensive choice vs heart guard and the reason to do it. This is how they advertised it to me. They have marked up the cost by more than $50. I guess they figured I wouldn't check now that it is a renewing prescription. Today, I wanted heartworm shots for my dogs and they insisted that an annual exam was "required by law" in order to qualify for the heartworm medicine. Vet clinic policy is not law. I went to PetFix down the road, and they only required the heartworm test and proof of rabies vaccination. It feels SOOO CORPORATE!!! I want my vet and their techs to be more grounded and not so fundamentally driven by milking every penny they can from me. I completely understand that they have to make a profit to survive, but this is ridiculous. It's like taking your car to the dealership to get serviced; same repair, higher cost. If paying through your nose is your thing, then Case is for you. For the "annual exam" required to just get heartworm meds for two young dogs under 3 tears old ends up to be $330 PER PET!!! and that doesn't include the cost of the heartworm injection! For my elderly dog, he's 17, $381 before even paying the 170 something they want for the heartworm! settle down people, settle down. Also, they're on a really busy street with no fence, so if your pet jumps out of your car, you get the extra fun bonus of experiencing a heart attack.
