What a treat! We were on our way home from the shore and wanted to stop for lunch some place different. Stewart's is so cute! It's an old-fashioned drive-in where you literally pull up and a car hop comes out and takes your order. We ended up ordering a pulled pork sandwich with a small side of slaw and a double Taylor pork roll sandwich. We also ordered a Black Cow float and a black and white milkshake which both arrived in frosted glass mugs. The food is placed on your open window so you can enjoy it in your car, or you can eat at one of their tables in a cute back lot. We loved this bit of nostalgia along with Stewart's delicious, comfort food!

An old time style Drive In Diner that's stood the test of time, since 1974. You can drive up and park at the front and a waiter will walk up to your car to take your order, and bring you a window clip tray with your food, so that you can eat in the comfort of your own car. There's also a small parking lot with a few benches in the back where you can park and eat and enjoy the fresh air. Since most of the staff is only able to be outdoors, they operate between March and October (they usually close Nov 1). Their Cheesesteaks are really tender and juicy and the bread is soft and has the chewy texture you'd expect from a quality fresh baked roll. I suggest the Cali style to add some veggies to your roll, but definitely try the cheesesteaks they have on the menu. Another must have is the Root Beer float, since Stewart's originally started as a Root Beer company before opening a Drive In. The ice cream they use lends a smooth and creamy texture to the root beer and definitely helps cool you down during the hot summer heat. The Jersey Fresh Strawberry shake is another sweet and refreshing shake that I recommend (when it's in season), the fresh strawberries taste way better than the original strawberry shake that's available throughout open season. Definitely worth a stop if you're around the area for a great drive in experience and some great drinks.

Stopped in for a lunch date: our food came out very fast and was DELICIOUS, our server was very attentive and friendly. We love the carhop service and nostalgic atmosphere here. We ordered the pizza steak, jitterbug burger, fries, and of course two root beers in frosted mugs.

Stewart's is always pretty good. I was craving loaded tots and of course I came when they were all out! That's something they couldn't help though! Had to settle for cheesy fries. The service is always good, everyone is nice and they don't forget you even if you sit at one of the tables in the back! Somehow they always see you! We came before a truck pulled up and were served before the truck, even though we sat in the back! The owner (or manager, not sure who exactly she was) checked on us too and asked to make sure someone took our order. The burgers are always delicious and hot. The chocolate milkshake was super rich, chocolatey and thick. Overall it's always a good experience at Stewart's!

The double patty California burger with bacon was delicious! The chili cheese dogs and the cheese fries were also good. I also got the root beer float and lemonade, refreshing on a hot day like today. This is a stop you should put on your list. Old fashioned car service and the waitress attended us very well. I really do recommend this spot!

I was a big fan of this place, especially since this came in clutch during quarantine! We stopped by and it was super busy, but service did not slack! We ordered quickly and got our food within 15 minutes. The burger was a classic and delicious. I inhaled it for sure. The cheese fries were perfect, my favorite style of cheese for cheese fries. And my husband's hot dog disappeared in a minute... so I think it's safe to say he liked it. He also got a root beer, and ya can't go wrong with that here! When paying, we got to pick out a pen and keep it (for quarantine cleanliness). I thought that was thoughtful and interesting. My only wish is that it had a better location with a view! It's on a busy road.

What fun and good food! Drive up and the food is brought to your car on a tray quickly after you order. You can also eat at tables in the back. The kids had cheeseburgers, fries and a kids milkshake and dad had a chicken cheesesteak, tater tots, and a strawberry and banana milkshake. Everything's was really good! The burgers are flavorful and the milkshake had fruit in it. The chicken cheesesteak was chopped up chicken and it was portabella mushrooms. Was it good? Yes! Was everyone friendly? Yes great service! Was it cheap? No, but it's the experience that counts too. We will be back!!!

Stopped in three times and all of them we found the breads tasting like old ones. The tarts were way to greasy But overall was fast being okay for being always in a rush . Price it's great

Good burgers , pork roll sandwiches cheesesteaks . And the fries are top notch. Of course the root beer floats are out of this world.

The fries Tuesday tasted like the oil needed to be switched some time ago. I asked for some sauces on the side that never made it into the bag and the dressing they put in for my salad was not the one I requested. I don't understand how an order can be put together wrong when you should have a tab in front of you and someone checking that the order was fulfilled correctly. This is not the first time they get things wrong. A few months ago they left something out of the order and I had to go back and get what they missed. The burgers don't have the seasoning they used to have or remember the tasted like 5 years ago. I remember that when you bit in you knew you had a great burger in your hands. I don't perceive that taste as much anymore. Maybe they are so busy that it's hard to keep that quality taste, but hopefully they can tweak things in a way that it brings back the Outlaw's of a few years ago. I also dislike there is no dine-in opportunity. I will still come around once in a while in hopes we go back the the great flavors and service.

They were pretty good, but I was hoping they'd be a bit more garlic-y. My mom said that it was the perfect amount of garlic, though. They were served nice and hot and had two toothpicks to share. We were still hungry after eating the fries, however, and so we got the chicken quesadilla to share. It looked really appetizing, and tasted just as well. However, our only complaint was that there was way too much cheese. The cheese:chicken ratio was a bit off, so I think less cheese would have done the dish better. However, the flavor was solid, and the salsa was pretty damn good. The last thing I ate was just out of pure curiosity. The grilled trinity lamb rack was actually pretty good. The chef? owner? mentioned that it has won a #2 award in NJ for one of the best dishes. I was looking forward to the garlic confit, but it turned out it wasn't very much to my taste. The pita was a nice touch, but I think something more.. green? would have been a bit of a better pairing. The lamb was tender, cooked exactly how I asked, and wonderfully seasoned. It smelled amazing, and whenever I first got my food my mouth started to water. As a side note, we never felt like we were waiting too long for our food. With the rack of lamb, I did start to question how long I'd been waiting (but I understood since it wasn't like they were just cooking some fries), and as soon as I was about to message and say "hey whats up with the order?" they messaged me and said it was ready. So, I was satisfied. ---------------------- Overall: **Service: 9/10 **Garlic-parm fries: 7/10 **Cajun chicken quesadilla: 7.5/10 **Grilled trinity rack of lamb: 8/10 Total rating: 7.88/10 (or 3.94/5, rounded to 4/5)
