We reached out. This is the terrible unresponsive response we got.

This is on the NJ.com 35 Old School Restaurants to go to. We drove 2 1/2 hours from North Jersey just to eat here as we move through the list. So we looked on Yelp and it doesn't say it's closed down. Looked on Facebook their page. Doesn't say it's closed. Google says it's open today. We went. It's closed. Called the number - disconnected. If this place is out of business it would be nice if they posted that on Facebook. Or their website. Or somewhere. But it's pretty crappy for people like us to drive all the way down here and find it closed with no explanation or notice anywhere.

If you know, you know. Been coming here since I was a little kid for my favorite hamburgers, onion rings and bread pudding on earth. Please never change or go anywhere Jim's -- you are a staple!

First trip to Jim's and will not be my last! Ordered a double cheeseburger with the works and fries; sauce on the side. Proceeded to order another double and it was so good I ordered a third! Place is immaculately clean inside and epitomizes South Jersey. Honest, hardworking people and tremendous food. Can't wait to go back. Thanks Nikki!

Went here on a quick lunch stop. It was packed as always and for good reason. You can't beat the food and prices. I ordered the cheese burger with everything (onions, mustard and sauce) and cheese fries. My co worker ordered a cheeseburger, hotdog and onion rings. As always, it tasted great. Would love to tell you how other things taste there but I can't go there and not order the cheeseburger! I will go here many more times over the years if I am lucky!

Words like "awesome, unbelievable, great," don't really do Jim's Lunch justice because it's a very modest, down-to-earth establishment. However, Jim's Lunch has such a long history and deep roots in the community, you definitely feel warm and fuzzy when you go there. It reminded both of us of Attman's Deli in Baltimore, to give you a comparison. We heard about Jim's Lunch in the Press of Atlantic City. We had read that they were closed for a bit because the building next door was being torn down. Turns out that they were able to reopen the luncheonette for the residents of Millville to enjoy further. Visiting the place, you almost feel as if you are in a small town in Missouri or Kansas. The experience is almost like a vacation, setting you back in time and space.

Jim's Lunch is a Millville Institution. I REALLY only wanna give it two stars, but I'm afraid I might be run out of town on a rail by the locals if I don't find something positive to say about Jim's. A lot of people around here really love this place. They do a brisk enough business that they close for 4 months every summer for vacation! They are famous for their small hamburgers which they serve with this (weird) chili sauce in a brown bag. They also have their daily specials, like meatloaf or liver and onions (gack!). The thing is, their specials aren't cheap! They run between 8 and 11 dollars, which I don't think is appropriate given the lack of ambiance. To me, Jim's is a under $10 kinda place, for food, drink, tax and tip. I just can't see dumping $15 dollars in what is essentially a dump. This place is totally frozen in time, but in a way I don't appreciate. It's hot, greasy, cramped and badly in need of updating. But it is timeless in a way that some people, especially older men, find charming. It's always jammed with people and there is literally NO PLACE to wait... you just stand by the front door and get glared at by every diner or server whose path you obstruct. At dinner time, especially the first week they reopen, it's common the see the line snaking out onto the sidewalk. I really don't get what I'm missing! I'm a veggie lover- were it not for my love of pork and pork byproducts, I'd probably be a vegetarian again, so that probably accounts for part of my bias. I am not a meat lover at all and Jim's is a greasy meat and fries kinda joint. You can watch the head fry cook do his thing in the big window that overlooks Main Street, so that's kinda cool. They've been in business since 1923, so obviously they're doing something right. If someone else can review this place and explain what I'm missing, I'd be much obliged. Cash only.

I will preface this by saying I'm not a big steak eater due to my alpha gal meat allergy of which…read moreI've been cured but as a result I do not consume much red meat these days.... So maybe this is a review for someone who's NOT looking to eat steak at a Steakhouse I've been to Outback and Texas Roadhouse. I've tried multiple dishes of poultry or seafood at both. Never a bad experience. This was my first time at LongHorn....absolutely delicious! I had the Parmesan crusted chicken. The smaller portion I believe 9oz. Nice amount of chicken. I cut my first piece with a fork and tender as can be! The flavor wow! A great combo with the signature sweet potato with the cinnamon and butter thank you very much! I upgraded to the fire grilled corn on the cob....daaaaaangggyup! Fire! I could've gone for 2 more of those bad boys but "now now ....dont over do it sir, that corn will come back to haunt you if you over indulge " Overall, I was extremely impressed and will return to try other items. As for the rest of our party. One of the young fellas is actually an employee at another Longhorn location. He had a Longhorn burger for the first time and was impressed. Another had steak and man it looked good! He woofed it down and had no complaints...3 others all had the salmon. Not parm crusted. All 3 said delicious they'd get it again which makes me wanna give it a go next time! However, I might go with the parm crusted salmon because of my excellent experience with the Parm crusted chicken! Overall I rank Longhorn number one over the other 2. Of course keep in mind this review is from someone who typically does not consume Steak....

Then I wrangled myself some Flo's Steak, and this steak was so darn good, you can tell Flo I said hello! I also recklessly decided to tackle the Stampede Dessert, and it didn't stand a chance. Our waitress Nicole did a phenomenal job, and the Wild West vibe was awesome. 10/10 meal. I'll definitely be ridin' back.

The french fries were golden brown, hot. You could tell they were cooked to order not sitting under a heat lamp.
