My 2015 Freightliner Cascadia broke down and they got me in and took care of the problems in a timely matter. I would highly recommend them.

When I stated I was taking it elsewhere, they charged me over $400.00. I towed the vehicle to a 2nd place that was able to diagnose in less than an hour and I had to beg the mechanic to take money for his time. If you need a timely, honest repair, I would go elsewhere.

Of course it was on a Saturday no less. The gal who answered was so nice. She got their tow truck operator dispatched and told me they had no problem holding my vehicle, etc. Marcos, their tow truck operator, got there fairly quick and delivered my truck to their lot. He was super nice and efficient. I asked them to run a diagnostic if needed and let me know what the estimated repairs would be. I would have to figure out how to get back to ABQ from AZ, etc. My wife called them on Tuesday (I was up to my rear in alligators at work). Their initial find was a frayed PCM cable (truck has +255k miles). Wednesday, the gal called to give me the prognosis and estimated cost. I gave them the nod to proceed. She left a message later in the day to say my truck was ready (still swimming with those gators). My personal issue was getting to their shop to pay them and pick my truck up. They were pretty cool about how long it would take me to get that done. Yes, I highly recommend Aiden's Diesel & Auto if you need work done on your diesel pickup.

It took longer because I needed a new tire and the one I needed was at a different location. A Firestone driver brought the tire so we had to wait. No problem. They were able to use my tire warranty to get a discount for the new tire. The customer waiting area does need to be updated. Chairs are kind of grungy.

She had been driving around with only one headlight for months. She relayed Firestone had quoted her a $500 estimate to replace her headlight. WTF?! I called around and found cheaper estimates. I also thought of simply purchasing the bulb and having my brother put it in, but I know that can be complicated (some headlights are very involved). Long story short, she wanted to go back to Firestone (Ugh!) after they quoted her a lower price. We get there, and the mechanic explains that it is indeed $600 (increased since her last estimate) due to the type of bulb that is being replaced. Again, I would rather go elsewhere, etc., but my time here is limited, and I want to get it done. So, just do it. They had to order the bulb we now know we needed. It was explained that it would arrive to the shop in 20 minutes. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with the manager's expertise (I believe he was the manager) who came out to the waiting room a few times to explain some issues to the customers. He seemed concerned, thoughtful, and professional. While we waited, several customers arrived and waited....... and waited....... and waited to be addressed. It got to the point that I would advise them to knock on the window to get the attention of the mechanics. Perhaps they were short staffed. The manager left at some point, and I saw only 2 employees (maybe they were on break). This was at about an hour into our wait. At 2 hours into our wait (it's a headlight, c'mon now), I started walking back to the garage to see what was going on. I saw Dominick (sp) working on it, so I assumed it wouldn't be long. But hey, I have nowhere to be. Both Mom & I used the bathroom. When I went it I saw, it left much to be desired. Yes, it's a tire shop, but that should be on the list of things to check. Now it's 3 hours into our wait. FOR A HEADLIGHT REPLACEMENT. What gives?! I will say that Dominic (when he would see me at the window watching their work) would come and explain the progress, always ending with...... and then you'll be done, but still waiting. Finally, almost 3.5 hours in we paid $600 for a new headlight. Waiting 3.5 hours to have Mom's headlight replaced - Aggravating, but time for us to talk. Replacing Mom's headlight after she's been driving around one-eyed, because she couldn't afford it - PRICELESS. She always brings her car here for service. If I lived here I'd find a real mechanic to service her car; perhaps use after-market headlights, etc. But, she's gonna do what she's comfortable with, so...... Firestone it is.

Went into a different shop when check engine came on - now at the end of our cross country trip I'm in CO - asked if the shop could quickly check the code for me. The mechanic kind of begrudgingly did, but he did it quickly and then honestly told me what the issue was, reset the code and sent me on my way. $0 dollars. Old town automotive should be avoided at all costs. Not trustworthy. I asked them if they could quickly check the code. She told me how much a full diagnostic was ($200) I should have left then. After the "full diagnostic" When I asked if they would charge me a "partial diagnostic" she said no. I asked for the Yelp check in discount $10 or $20 maybe? no. AAA discount ? No. After asking if the was anything she could do to help me out she finally caved and gave me the aaa discount because she "doesn't even subscribe to Yelp and can't understand them on the phone half the time." I don't know if it's worth noting... THE ONLY REASON I WAS THERE WAS BECAUSE OF YELP, It was 10 or $20 discount and they were already ripping me off... I regret letting my anxiety get the better of me at the start of the trip. This situation was easily avoidable. I should have just left. Still waiting for that full diagnosis btw. Boo this garage.

SCRATCH A LIE...FIND A THEIF! (With this owner)…read more $685 Repair Bill and found out afterwards my truck was out of gas??? This should have been told to me over the diagnostic phone call on Friday!!! Not left out until I go pay the bill Saturday!!! I feel stupid but I also feel taken advantage of. I am used to the truck gas gauge being 1/8-1/4 off. Usually the gas light still comes on. This time it didn't. I thought I had gas. Truck shuddered and the Check Engine light came on. I had it towed Thursday at 4pm to Blue Castle. I told the owner Anthony I thought it was the fuel filter or fuel pump. I called him back twice telling him of the sputtering symptoms at stop signs and red lights when going to accelerate. I remember calling twice to help him diagnose it better. Still no discount off their diagnostic fee. The owner called me back about 2:39pm Friday saying it was the Fuel Pump and Sending Unit. He said parts about $300, (Amazon sells that part for $62.99 and delivers in 2 days). He charged me 2 hrs labor, plus diagnostic fee $90. Estimate was $650 Saturday they call me at 10:40am the truck is ready. I get there and the owner gives me two gas receipts timed a few minutes earlier because they said my gas tank was empty. Receipts timed for 9:18 and 11:25am. How could they diagnose the problem the day before if the truck was out of gas in the first place? I didn't know being out of gas was the original problem. The owner Anthony did not mention to me that the truck was out of gas on Friday over the phone. He only said it needed the Fuel Pump and Sending Unit replaced. Had he been honest with the diagnostics during the phone call. I could have just go get some gas, pay his diagnostic fee and go!!! It did not happen this way. They had to over charge me on parts, plus 2 hrs labor($190), plus their so called professional diagnostics fee($95)? Anthony the owner failed to tell me I was simply out of gas? Really??? It was a viable option that he hid from me(the customer) during Friday's phone call weather to do the work or not. Anthony the owner also said he doesn't get parts from Amazon($62.99) That he pays the higher prices from his sources ($280) and up charges 20%. (Charging me $319.99). In closing, weather you pay in cash or debit card it is all the same. No discounts to be found. If you pay on a credit card they charge an additional 4%. I do not suggest dealing with such practices. They definitely got me good when they could have told me. "Hey, Did you know your truck was simply out of gas???" I drove away and my truck still sputtered like it was out of gas. I stopped and added gas nearby. I do not think they put $32 of gas in my truck. My needle was on 'E' when I left. "Snakes" Is the best word I can think of for my experience.

(He even gave me the lowdown on which auto insurance companies might seem like a good deal because they have cheaper rates, but they try to wiggle out of paying when you need them). I was so impressed with the work they did on my car that insurance covered, that I wound up scheduling a follow-up to have them fix another issue I'd been meaning to fix. They did good work, at a much better rate than the previous shop that had given me a quote. Also, I'm not much of a movie person, but the Goodfellas theme/decor was entertaining, too. DO NOT TRUST!!! Faulty repair put me and my car in danger. Dishonest. Shea charges dealership…read moreprices, but will not guarantee his work. Shea underestimates the time it will take to perform the repair, so that your car is stuck in the shop for days longer than what they will tell you. Shea and Alex lied and said they test drove my car on 7/11/24 after replacing wheel bearings, but my car started failing within minutes from leaving their parking lot. They put me and my car in extreme danger when my car would unexpectedly slow down and the brakes went soft and I could not go more than 10 miles an hour on I-25. I had to have my car towed back to Shea's so that Shea could fix what he had not finished. When I asked what happened, they lied and immediately blamed it on a faulty part. It was evident to me and an expert automotive technician that they had not put the wheel back together properly and that they had not taken the time to test drive the car to check their work. When I confronted them about the danger that they had put me and my car in, they only lied about their mistake and took no accountability. When I asked what they could do to make it right, they only offered to finish the work and to drop the car off at my job. They didn't offer any financial discount or to pay $100 for my Uber rides for the 4 days that I had no transportation. They did not even offer to pay for the tow because the car was unsafe to drive. When I called Shea's in a panic while my car was failing on the highway, Alex asked me to drive it back to the shop. They have no concern for my safety if I cannot drive more than 10 miles an hour and the brakes are not working properly. They should have offered to tow it back to the shop. Much less serious, but extremely annoying, is that Alex will lie to you about when your car will be ready. I had Shea do work on my car twice and both times I made an appointment. I asked when the car would be ready and Alex would lie and say it would be ready that day. The first time in April 2024 it took 3 days for 120K service and the second time it took 4 days for wheel bearing and coolant hose replacement. I check in with Alex every day and he would tell me it would be ready that day. It is obvious that Shea and Alex are not checking or being honest when they give a promise time.
