We were going to go to Grumpy's cafe for Father's Day but at 9:00 the wait was already outside. So we looked for an option and went here. It may not be the best looking from the outside but i would take this place over a few places that I have been. The omelette i had was one of the best and the potatoes were exceptional and nothing was covered in grease and they also grind their own beans for coffee. All i can say is do not let the appearance intimidate you enter and enjoy some home cooked breakfast.

First time here (previously Sal's Diner), ordered carry out by phone. Large parking area in back. Small old school diner inside, can see the cook working feverishly in front of the counter seats. Maybe another 8 booths for seating. This is owned by the previous owners of Steve's 24hr Diner on Biddulph Road, that recently closed. This is about the same, open 24 hours and breakfast all day. The employees were pleasant and my order was perfect. I really enjoy their breakfast here and the famous chili dogs. For 2 breakfasts and 4 chili dogs came out to $22. You really can't beat that price anywhere. Give this place a try you won't be disappointed.

I've been passing by this place on my way to work for four years now and finally decided to stop. It's a very small spot but a very good one. All the food is made fresh on the grill top right in front of you. I like that. I also like how their potatoes are made. Not shredded or cube theyre true homefry hashbrowns. The melted butter with the French toast was a great touch. Definitely worth a visit!!!!

When you park, you aren't sure where, by you find a spot to fit in perfectly. Then you peer in from the outside, barely seeing in, and see that it's 24 hours. "Oh wow, I didn't know that!" We came in late on a Sunday night needing sustenance. We enter the door and see locals: some converse and others sit quietly---couples from the bars, clubs or a night of drinking and then individuals talking about their latest and greatest shitty job. The diner is old like the 70s and the menu is handwritten in multi-color dry erase. The ladies are welcoming, warm and it's like being at home. "This is going to be great," I say. I think, "this reminds me of my friends from high school... the goth was friends with the anarchist who was friends with the hippy who was friends with the neo-nazi." Portions are generous. This is a staple diner for breakfast or a "veal cutlet with gravy---hold the gravy." Nobody in Cleveland OFFERS you a hot sauce bottle this big. #Business.

It's an old diner. A bit grungy and outdated but clean. Fast, friendly service and good cheap eats. This is an update... Don't judge the interior of this place! We have become regulars here and every time we come the waitresses are so friendly, remembering that I drink decaf (it's true), for example. It's that plus the simple but hearty and tasty food at great (cheap!) prices that keep us going back, especially for breakfast. It may be one of the best kept secrets in Cleveland; thankful they are in Brooklyn Centre!

Near perfection in a small, "greasy spoon" breakfast joint. Took my daughter here on a recent weekend and have a fantastic experience. Everything was perfectly cooked...eggs were large, home fries really tasty and not overly greasy, thick-cut pepper bacon was crisp, pancakes had a delicious flavor (not overly fluffy), good coffee. The waitress asked us about each breakfast item in detail (like, do you want regular bacon or crispy) and each item came out exactly as we asked for...you gotta love that kind of attention to detail! Prices were very reasonable and they take credit cards...another plus. But the coolest thing about this place? Nearly every person that got up and left (as we sat there enjoying our food) knew Sal by name and greeted him as they left, thanking him for their meals. To me, that kind of feel and caring is what a great neighborhood restaurant is all about. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Open 24/7 I went here for breakfast and it was great! The place looks run down and feels like you're maybe in the 70's. But most importantly the food is great!! I'm telling everybody that I know about it. And it's cheaper

Is it Steve's Dog House or Sal's? So confused.

Sal retired and Steve's bought the place and everything in it, down to the menus. I think the front of the building still says Sal's because the current owners really liked the guy and wanted to leave things up in tribute to him. Knock that confused… Read more

Both were delicious! The biscuit was perfectly buttery, and it was covered in a rich, flavorful mushroom gravy and came with scrambled eggs. It was filling but somehow not too heavy. It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. I could have easily had a whole stack of the pancakes. The staff was friendly, and though the place was busy, the service was efficient. Excited to come here again! We started with the Cheddar & Chive Biscuit served with butter and seasonal jam--and honestly, it was the perfect start to the meal. It featured local peaches, bacon, whipped blue cheese, pickled onion, arugula, and basil, all layered on a thick, perfectly toasted slice of bread. Absolute perfection. My husband went with the Gravy & Biscuit, which came with local mushroom gravy, kale, soft scrambled eggs, and house-made sausage crumbles. On the outside it's a big silver diner. Looks smaller than it is. Inside there is a good amount of seating and it's not small. Parking is right out front. We sat and ordered pretty quick. I got the chicken noodle soup and salad. Kathy got the Greek salad with chicken. We both got the Greek dressing. The chicken noodle was homemade with plenty of big carrots, celery, egg noodles and a bit of chicken. It was good. Could have used a bit more chicken but it was full of veggies and tasted good. Plus it was hot. Love it. Salad came and it was a decent size. Also lots of veggies. It was just enough food. And the price was great under $8. The Greek salad could have been a bit larger. I thought it looked a bit skimpy. But Kathy got a whole chicken breast cut up. She sub's out the gyro meat. Again dressing was homemade and really good. The desserts looked super good but we did not partake. The menu is good with Bfast, lunch, dinners. Everything from burgers, sandwiches, pasta. Lots to choose from and prices are decent. Service was good. She was very attentive. Overall, good experience and good quick lunch. I'd go back.

We shared the loco moski, paprikash sandwich, and a side of bacon wrapped tots (good option if you just want 2 and not the full appetizer). While the bacon wrapped tots are famous from Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, I actually liked the loco moski and paprikash sandwich more. The loco moski is a fun combination between a loco moco but with pierogi, and I like that the peppered gravy wasn't too rich. The paprikash sandwich was also a great combo of chicken, sausage, peppers, cheese, paprikash, on lightly crispy bread. Parking available as free street parking--though you may have to circle to find parking since it's near the Christmas House. Staff were nice and efficient. The place does feel a little tight in terms of space with less lighting, but there's still plenty of seating and what matters to me more is good food. Overall, great place to try local food. I wanted to try the pierogi and the Polish boy and the KRAUT and having an extensive beer menu doesn't hurt either. Friendly neighborhood watering hole literally on the corner and basically across the street from the a Christmas story house allowing you to eat within eye sight of the leg lamp. I wanted basically everything from the menu that came vegan (spoiler alert there are tons and tons of things) but gastric space comes at a premium on vacation so we settled on the fried cheese. I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.
