First time visit about 5:30 am on a Thursday morning. Very reasonable prices, good food cooked to order. Sat at the counter, good service. This place is small. while I sat and ate, noticed they do a solid take-out business. Seats 16 at the counter and up to another 24 at 6 booths. But on the day I visited 2 counter seats and 1 booth were 'out of order'. Harsh fluorescent lighting. The parking area was confusing in the dark. I heard about the Ohio hotdogs with the chili and cheese for sometime. I was finally in Cleveland for an evening and Steve's was the spot I choose. I had it delivered so I didn't see the restaurant but I will speak to the hotdogs. The dogs had the perfect bite to them. The chili was great, it didn't overpower the hotdog taste. Ok so my bestfriend, girlfriend and I stopped in tonight, Steve's is one of my bestfriend and I's go to but man do we regret tonight's visit. My girlfriend and I go and she always orders the same thing. Well we both got eggs tonight and both wound up sick as dogs. She ended up throwing up and nauseous literally as we speak and I am also nauseous and extremely bloated. My friend did not have eggs and he is fine so clearly something is wrong with the eggs. Gave it a go since that is now the joint to go to enjoy what used to be Steve's hot dogs on Biddulph - previously on Lorain Ave - this place is a total filthy dump - we ate our hot dogs since we did go out of our way to get them but this entire place needs to be hosed down with hot water and scrubbed with a big soapy brush - the food was edible and the staff friendly but some of the clientele I would not want to meet in a dark alley - unless this place has a deep clean we will not be returning - I have also considered calling the health department - it is that bad read more

We were going to go to Grumpy's cafe for Father's Day but at 9:00 the wait was already outside. So we looked for an option and went here. It may not be the best looking from the outside but i would take this place over a few places that I have been. The omelette i had was one of the best and the potatoes were exceptional and nothing was covered in grease and they also grind their own beans for coffee. Maybe another 8 booths for seating. This is owned by the previous owners of Steve's 24hr Diner on Biddulph Road, that recently closed. This is about the same, open 24 hours and breakfast all day. The employees were pleasant and my order was perfect. I really enjoy their breakfast here and the famous chili dogs. For 2 breakfasts and 4 chili dogs came out to $22. I've been passing by this place on my way to work for four years now and finally decided to stop. It's a very small spot but a very good one. All the food is made fresh on the grill top right in front of you. I like that. I also like how their potatoes are made. Not shredded or cube theyre true homefry hashbrowns. When you park, you aren't sure where, by you find a spot to fit in perfectly. Then you peer in from the outside, barely seeing in, and see that it's 24 hours. "Oh wow, I didn't know that!" We came in late on a Sunday night needing sustenance. We enter the door and see locals: some converse and others sit quietly---couples from the bars, clubs or a night of drinking and then individuals talking about their latest and greatest shitty job. The diner is old like the 70s and the menu is handwritten in multi-color dry erase. The ladies are welcoming, warm and it's like being at home. "This is going to be great," I say. I think, "this reminds me of my friends from high school... the goth was friends with the anarchist who was friends with the hippy who was friends with the neo-nazi." Portions are generous. It's an old diner. A bit grungy and outdated but clean. Fast, friendly service and good cheap eats. This is an update... Don't judge the interior of this place! We have become regulars here and every time we come the waitresses are so friendly, remembering that I drink decaf (it's true), for example. Near perfection in a small, "greasy spoon" breakfast joint. Took my daughter here on a recent weekend and have a fantastic experience. Everything was perfectly cooked...eggs were large, home fries really tasty and not overly greasy, thick-cut pepper bacon was crisp, pancakes had a delicious flavor (not overly fluffy), good coffee. The waitress asked us about each breakfast item in detail (like, do you want regular bacon or crispy) and each item came out exactly as we asked for...you gotta love that kind of attention to detail! Prices were very reasonable and they take credit cards...another plus. But the coolest thing about this place? Nearly every person that got up and left (as we sat there enjoying our food) knew Sal by name and greeted him as they left, thanking him for their meals. Lawrence and Echo both were very professional and friendly, ill definitely be coming back every night if they stay continue to stay open regularly. On our way home from a weekend in downtown Cleveland, my wife recommended this little diner based on a previous visit with her co-worker. We stopped in and it was jam packed. There were zero of about 20 seats available. So we waited five minutes and some patrons left, so we took their seats. Our drink orders were promptly taken and we began to look at the menu. My wife had a burger on her last visit, so she wanted a burger again, even though it was 11:00 AM! So she ordered a hamburger with bacon and french fries on the side. I, of course, was starving for breakfast. I ordered a veggie omelette with wheat toast and home fries. Not four feet away was Sal himself cooking away on a small, flat grill, his wife standing by his side preparing eggs. Ten minutes later, Sal cooked our meal right in front of us. He put cheese on her burger though, which she didn't want, but she didn't say anything and happily ate it anyway, loving every bite. My omelette was yummy and my home fries were very tasty. I put hot sauce on my eggs and home fries, ya'll. Try it, you'll never go back. Louisiana, hot sauce, that is. Sals is a perfect little dive diner. It's cheap, it's old school and the food is good. The bacon is great and they must sell a ton of it cause there was a mountain of it next to the grill where Sal was cooking. The staff were all friendly and the food came out fast. My iron worker buddy brought me here a few years ago, and I am very thankful he did. This is the perfect example of the Cleveland breakfast diner. The menu is simple but Sal cooks everything to perfection. A typical egg, sausage, and hashbrown breakfast never tasted so good. Sal's also offers to put onions in your hashbrowns too, which in my opinion is the only way. The place is pretty tiny but I always seem to get a seat when I arrive. read more
