Return for another one of their chicken sandwiches. This time it's the hot chicken. It was tasty and tender. Cooked just right. Juicy and spicy. Loudly calling out the orders from the counter to the kitchen. There a slight wait to get you hot sandwiches. I didn't mind. Hot chicken thigh. Thick layer of iceberg lettuce. Slices of pickles. Various sauces including that not overly spicy hot.
Pretty good wings! Finally tried this place in Pearlridge after seeing it for a while in the food court area. Gives Vons some serious competition ...tastewise, I liked this better I thought based on this one sample. 5 pc + rice (or fries) + a medium drink + tax = about $21. But the pieces were pretty good sized and they actually gave me 6 pieces! Score! I had the shoyu garlic, one of the more popular flavor, and it was great! Sweet, garlicky and shoyuy flavor, with crunchy and moist pieces of chx. Eat that with a bit of sauce on the rice ...winnaz! I thought slightly on the pricy side for a lunch, but the taste made up for it. The owner (?) Personally came out to thank me for the order which was really nice. So yep, I would eat here again if I'm in the mood for fried chicken in PR !
I visited Steve's Chicken with my gal pals. With a wide selection of food places of in the Pearlridge Food court, I was intrigued by the friendly and welcoming staff. I ordered the mom's chicken sandwich and the 5 piece garlic wings. My gal pal and I decided to share the food since it was a late lunch. The order came out fast and it was piping hot. The food came with gloves, which I appreciate since it's hard to eat saucy wings when you're out with friends. It's common to have gloves or hand wipes with finger foods in Asia. Anyway, we had to let the sandwich and wings cool for a bit. You could tell the food was fresh because of all the steam coming out. Once the food cooled down a little, we took a bite. It was so delicious. The wings were flavorful and had a crispy exterior. The sandwich was tall and filled with chicken and veggies. My friend and I happily ate the food and raved about how delicious it is. I definitely recommend trying this place. Usually mall food courts are slim pickings, but this place was satisfying and has good portions.
I'm surprised I never ate at Steve's in uptown Pearlridge. I guess no better time than doing it today, huh? First impression leaves me liking what I see in terms of the options. I guess since I was kind of wanting to try something different, I opted for the Sweet Chili Sandwich. And...I gotta say, I'm impressed by what they're doing. The coating of the chicken isn't thick, and the vegetables were great to complement it well. The sweet chili sauce definitely comes out with each bite, and there was just enough of it to enjoy the meal. Overall, it's very good for what you get. Maybe next time, I should try another of their flavored chicken sandwiches/wings if I ever go back there again.
Went for a quick bite to eat for dinner at the pearlridge uptown food court. My cousin got a chicken sandwich here and she said it was really good. So I decided to order a chicken sandwich myself. Customer service here is top tier, super friendly and helpful staff. I was having trouble choosing which chicken sandwich to get because they came in so many flavors! But the employee explained and broke down the menu for me. I opted for the honey garlic sandwich. Let me start off by saying that the sandwich is HUGE! The chicken is THICK but packed with so much flavor. It was sweet, salty & savory! The fries the comes in the combo were delish too. Very comparable fries to Zippys or jolibee if you're into that. I really really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be coming back to order more chicken sandwiches or even try their chicken wings.
Gotta love walking up to order for the first time with my family and being serenaded with: "La La La Lava Ch Ch Ch Chicken Steve's Lava Chicken, yeah it's tasty as hell Ohhhh mamacita now you're ringing the bell Crispy and juicy, now you're having a snack Oohh super spicy it's a lava attack!" Automatic 10/10 for putting a smile on all our faces, being attentive to not only my husband and I, but also super engaging with all our boys as well. We ordered the boys: 15 piece original wings with rice Steve's hot chicken sandwich Once the boys got their food, we noticed Uncle at the counter watching them enjoy eating and even went out of his way to hand deliver some shoyu with furikake! Who does that?! Mad props and respect to him! Thank you for making Steve's Chicken a great experience for them! As far as the chicken, my boys loved it and considered Steve's to be TOP 5! Can't wait to come back!
I'd always wanted to try Steve's Chicks in Kunia, so I was bummed to see it close. I was excited when they opened a new location in Pearlridge and finally got the chance to stop by! Steve's Chicken is a fast casual Korean fried chicken spot located in the uptown food court. We were greeted with friendly, upbeat service as we looked at their menu of sandwiches and wings. We ordered two jumbo chicken thigh sandwiches to share. Honey Garlic Chicken Sandwich - Juicy chicken, cheese, lettuce, pickles and a super buttery and garlicy sauce! Think garlic shrimp in chicken form. Would definitely order again! Spicy Mom's Chicken Sandwich - Crispy chicken with cheese, onions, lettuce and a drizzle of hot sauce. Surprisingly spicy and delicious! The price is definitely high but the sandwiches are large and quality!
Stopped by Steve's Chicken in the Pearlridge Mauka (Uptown) food court. We ordered the honey garlic chicken sandwich, the Italian basil pesto chicken sandwich combo (comes with fries and a drink), and a 2-choice order of chicken wings with the supreme and snow cheese powder flavor (10 wings total). The sandwiches use chicken thigh, which makes them extra juicy. The breading is light and crisp but not as crispy as other Korean chicken spots. Portion is huge! It could easily be feed 1-2 people. The honey garlic is sweet and savory and kinda reminded me of a honey mustard, and the Italian basil pesto was herbaceous. The wings are bone-in flats and drumettes. The supreme flavor wings reminded us of a sweet BBQ with a mild spicy kick. I wish they offered that sauce as a side for the fries, I would totally purchase. The snow cheese powder had that nostalgic cheesy flavor similar to Doritos or Cheetos. Service was quick, and the staff were genuinely friendly. We're pretty sure the owner was behind the counter, chatting with customers and playing with the kids. You can really feel the local, family-run vibe here.
Mother cluckin' good chicken sandwiches. Thanks Aron N. for the recommendation. Putting this rating into perspective, Popeye's, KFC, or Jollibee chicken sandwiches are all one star. Eighty Chicken Sandwiches, the best chicken sandwich in Hawaii, is five stars. These are giant, weighty sandwiches. Three large chicken thigh tenders in hearty potato buns slathered with whatever tasty sauce makes up your selection, piled high with veg that interestingly is tossed with a sweet dressing. Sliced dill pickles finish up the creations. The best part, the chicken isn't over salted. It allows the flavors like the pesto and shaved parm of the Italian Basil Pesto Chicken Sandwich to stand out. All is not perfect. The fish for the fish and chips is processed and taste like it's been frozen too long. The fries are oddly rubbery. Inexpensive in tariff town 'Murica averaging $15 each. Very friendly service. A solid, albeit different take on chicken sandwiches that are well worth a visit to a mall food hall.
I just ate the largest chicken sandwich I have ever seen. I mean, you might think that Popeyes and Jollibee have large chicken sandwiches and you are right! They are large. But Steve's chicken sandwich is ridiculously LARGE! There must be twice the amount of chicken in this sandwich! The container couldn't close and the sandwich was bursting out of the container! Is it good? Yes! But let me get into the specifics..... The sandwich is so large that it actually suffers from being too big. My first bite needed way more flavor. The chicken itself is not heavily seasoned so it's actually quite bland. Adding salt doesn't help - it needs more herbs or spices or brine. It is a large piece of chicken and it needs some kind of brine or seasoning to make that bite sing. However, all is not lost, the sandwich actually does pack a punch (I got the pesto sandwich BTW). The punch and flavor is on the bottom! Unfortunately I was several big bites in before I realized it. The onions, sweet pickles, dressing, pesto, cheese was mostly on the bottom. I took a bite from the bottom and it was a sweet delicious concoction! But by then my sandwich was falling apart. At that point I used a fork and knife. Even then, I had HUGE pieces of chicken that I had to eat. So maybe the answer is to turn it upside down in the wrapper and eat it that way? The sandwich was around $14 for the sandwich alone so it's pricey - but you get a lot. Overall, quite an experience and good service. If you are hungry and want the biggest chicken sandwich you have ever seen, go to Steve's! But take it from me, rotate the sandwich before eating and you will enjoy the first few bites a lot more!
Today I got to try the Seasoned Chicken Wings (Spicy) meal and it was very tasty. Also, the service was very friendly and helpful.
I was just walking by when the owner called me over. He was very kind and started explaining the various items on the menu, i ended up going with the snow cheese powder chicken wings. The wings were VERY tasty and the flavor was like no other wings i've had before. After i paid he even gave me a choco pie on the house! I will definitely be back soon to try other items on the menu or to reorder the snow cheese powder wings again.

My friends and I went to Steve's Chicken yesterday. They updated new menu so we had to try their Ex-boyfriend Sandwich and Beef Bulgogi Burger. Also, Honey BBQ wings were very tasty as well. We always order here when we come to the mall. read more

Yes the prices are steep but the quantity & quality of their organic chicken is worth it ! Don't get me wrong. I love fried chicken and I also love Jollibee's & Popeye's but Steve's chicken sandwiches are mesmerizing to my taste buds ! The delightful experience of tasting their chicken is worth half the price. You can really tell that each & every sandwich is prepared with a lot of TLC ! I will definitely be back to try everything on their menu at least once ! You should too read more

I just recently came back from Korea last month and by happenstance checked out Steve's Chicken at Pearlridge mall food court on the Uptown side. During my last trip, I learned chicken burger is popular in Korea and I love how Steve's Chicken brings both LA and Korea vibes together in Hawaii. It is different from Mom's Touch (a popular chicken burger shop) in Korea, but both bring good flavor. What is unique or interesting to me is the spice level that you can choose. Whoa, my sister in law from Korea handled the spice but I grew up in the states, so a couple bites of the spicy chicken burger and I was K.O. I would definitely go back to try different chicken burgers here with my family. The service was good and they were helpful in explaining their menu. If you need something not too spicy like me, check out mom's chicken burger. Good luck to the brave souls kicking up their spice level out there. read more

I just love when you randomly stumble upon a real gem. Steve's is located in the Uptown food court next to Tilt and Genki Sushi. Steve's sandwiches are HUGE, JUICY and packed with oozing FLAVOR. This unassuming food court eatery brings so much value to the food scene there. Tried Mom's Chicken Sandwich and Steve's Hot Chicken Sandwich. Both were a definite hit. Steve's hot chicken sandwich definitely packed a lot of spice. *Spicy tip: there's different levels of spice as the menu shows. Medium spicy chicken sandwich Steve's Mom's Chicken Sandwich Steve's Hot Chicken Sandwich +1/2 ^What we got, it was HOT Steve's Burning Hot Chicken Sandwich (includes Ghost Pepper, Habanero, Carolina Reaper) Price. Don't be discouraged by $13-16 sandwiches. They are HUGE and will absolutely fill you up. You'll be just as full as eating a plate lunch for the same price. PLUS, the quality is absolutely there. We got to talk to the owner, Steve, and you can see his pride and care for his business, food and employeed radiating from his sunny smile. He cares so much about the QUALITY of his ingredients. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. Pickles were crunchy and briney. Even the onion were sliced thinly with care. The star of it all was the massive juicy chicken though that was fried to crispy golden perfection. It was a pleasure to taste the love in his culinary artistry. I only hope to spread the word about this wonderful business so Steve can open doors island wide! read more

I'm sorry but this review is for the fish and chips. For the price to be $15 I expected more out of this item. When receiving my item I had more chips (fries) than fish. The amount of fish they give you is only 2 pieces. It's not even battered like the actual fish and chips. If I were you I order te fish and chips at hotdog on a stick. It's a little more pricer but it's authentic. You won't be disappointed unlike this dish. read more

Four stars that I hope will move to five once they find their rhythm. I'll admit that I never made it to their old location in Kunia. I'd have loved to, as I love a good boneless Korean Fried Chicken, but it's sometimes hard to get a group together who all agree to share the big amounts. I love that this new concept has personal sizes, and even more that it is in a food court, because it is so nice to have a fresh and spicy option when one has time to slow down for a bit in the middle of a day out. I hope that they do well in this Pearlridge location, as I enjoyed my sandwich and truly appreciated the personal service during a busy lunch rush. I ordered the Egg Chicken Sandwich, thinking it might be a nice combination of a savory egg, spicy sweet sauce, and crispy chicken. My guess was off just a bit, but in a good way. My sandwich had a gorgeously crispy chicken thigh, lettuce, and a somewhat sweet fluffy scrambled egg. The best way to describe the egg is as a light and airy egg sold with a sweet pickle taste. It worked really well with the fried chicken, though I'll admit that I ended up eating my sandwich with a knife and fork because it was so messy. The combo came with a very large fountain soda and perfectly crispy fries which I meant to stop eating, but ended up finishing because they were perfect. My meal was $23 after tax, but was a good filling meal using quality ingredients. I have two suggestions to help grow into the fifth star. The first is to add a sign explaining that this is Korean style fried chicken, and therefore takes a longer time to cook. Many of their potential customers will already know that the chicken is fried twice, but not everyone in a busy food court will want to wait 10-20 minutes while their meal is created. This is where the second suggestion comes in. I recommend having a small collection of sides available, specifically things that are premade or easy to heat and ready to grab and go if needed. Mac or potato salad, cheese corn, kimchi...just a few items that would compliment the existing menu but could also be ordered separately for quick consumption to go or while waiting for the main meal. I'm sure it has been difficult to shrink the menu and pivot to a new location. I truly hope that they will have a long and happy stay in Pearlridge! read more

From Steve's former locations, I am a fan of his chicken. Not only fresh chicken, but also always clean oil and ingredients! That's why I can give him a credit. He's enthusiastic and makes an effort for his menu to be renewed. This time, I bought updated sauce with his own recipe as well. It was yummy!!! And the casher guy was very kind. If you come to Pearlridge area, don't miss his chicken. You won't get disappointed! Steve chicken is "above & beyond" read more

Located inside Pearlridge mall food court down town. No call ahead, made to order. Eomma say need more spicy! not traditional Korean spicy. Garlic Shoyu whoa! GARLIC! Has a slight sweet savory flavor. Inside food court vibes to be expected. If you like sweet savory, this is the place for you. read more
Vast improvement over the previous business that was in the same location. Husband and I both got the egg chicken sandwich. It was messy to eat and a little sweet but the chicken was cooked well and moist! Also ordered the snow chicken. It was tasty as well. The staff was very patient and friendly. We saw them explaining items to another customer and offering recommendations. The location also looked a lot cleaner than it used to be. Very big change from the previous chicken place. We will be coming back to try some other items we had our eye on. read more

The fried chicken here is very tasty and cooked to order so it arrives piping hot. Seems underrated because they should be busier than they were. I think they need a simpler menu because there's so many choices it's hard to choose. Give it a try! read more

My friend sent me an Instagram video of this place and I knew I had to try it. I got to say it DELIVERED. The sandwiches were big and the chicken was tender. Steve's spicy chicken sandwich was so spicy my eyes were watering but I couldn't stop eating it because it was so yummy. The employee who helped us at the register was super kind and helpful. He told us that the Steve's spicy is an in house made sauce and the spicy mom's is a sauce imported from Korea. At one point the owner came out and he was super nice and personable. He was really excited to tell us about their food and how they soured everything. He even gave me and my husband a choco-pie for free. I would absolutely recommend this place. It was delicious. read more

The same hospitality and quality from their previous businesses (Chicken Factory and Steve's Chicks), which were excellent. It was my first time at their newest location in Pearlridge, so I had to try their new menu. I wanted a burger, so I asked what they could recommend to me. I settled on Steve's Egg Chicken Sandwich, which was recommended for being extra protein rich. The chicken was really tender and soft, and the egg on top added an creamy texture. The meal upgrade came with a large fountain drink and fries. It was so filling that I couldn't finish all of it myself. The staff at Steve's are also very polite and skilled. To get there, you can enter the main entrance to the mall by Genki Sushi and turn right after the entrance to the food court. It should be on the left side afterwards, and the sign is bright red with a smiley face. Since the latest renovation to the mall, the eating area is brighter, which makes for a nicer ambiance for the location. It also seems to be regularly wiped down by the mall staff, which makes it easier to find a clean table. So, if you're in the area and looking for some good chicken, I suggest trying this new location. Their wings are really good too, so you can take out and enjoy at home or at a party. read more

In Hawaii, this is the greatest spot to get Korean chicken. Definitely. In Korea and Hawaii, I tried a lot of Korean chicken. Furthermore, this Steve's is really similar to Korean chicken in Korea. I tried Garlic Shoyu, Snowing, Original, and Supreme. The sandwich was also amazing! It was quite thick and fresh. It was so good that I neglected to snap a photo. I was unable to stop eating it. The only drawback is that it's a little out of honolulu. It's worth the drive, though, aside from that. I wish they were a bit nearer to town. If you love korean chicken, Go try it. You won't regret it. read more

Although I feel for just the chicken sandwich they can be a little on the pricier side, their Steve's hot chicken sandwich was delicious. The regular was $13.99 for just the sandwich, with Steve's hot chicken sandwich coming in at $15.99 and that wasn't even their most expensive. The chicken thighs they use were juicy and perfectly cooked and perfectly breaded. The mixture of the hot and honey with the pickle and onion was a really nice blend of flavors. The bread was fresh and really good too. I did feel like the sandwich was almost too thick at times making it difficult to open my mouth wide enough to bite, but I guess not a bad problem to have. It was very messy, dripping honey juices out the back as you squeezed it to try to take a bite, so be careful when eating it not to spill on yourself. I would definitely come back for another chicken sandwich regardless of it being a little pricey. In comparison to your other options in the food court and their pricing, Steve's is worth it. At least it was really filling and delicious. Is in the food court so ambiance is that of a food court. Enough seating in the area and they keep it clean. read more
