While I think they do decent fence work when it's basic stuff--there's still a major lack of…read morecommunication between client and owner when it comes to things that may amend the property visually--like cutting back large 15 year old hedges, shortening openings, driveways or fence lines. If there are any changes that are made to someone's existing property in order to build or install the fence, this company needs to clearly outline, discuss and agree on, in writing or in the contract-- not just assumed we should know there's going to be drastic changes to the property or said in passing. There's also a lack of due diligence in making sure the property lines are clearly outlined and also just some basic friendly heads up to neighbors if you're also going to be amending things that their home also sees.... To avoid fallout between property owners or risk violating town codes as we experienced both times when using this company. Mark did come back to fix the damage after I posted the review. He did two jobs at two different houses for me, he did do a good job moving some of my existing fences to expand my backyard, they also cleaned my fences and created a fence for my garden, he did give me fair pricing and they got the job done quickly. But I am giving them 3 stars mainly for the above mentioned as we did run into some bigger issues with both jobs that really created large headaches and expenses for us, --all of which could truly have been avoided had there been clear communication, agreement and due diligence done between the owner and myself, the neighbors and also, to be compliant with town regulations.

Absolutely Exceptional - A Dream Backyard Come True…read more We worked with Adam, the owner of Topaz Design, to completely transform our backyard -- what started as plain grass and bushes is now a stunning hardscape and in-ground pool that genuinely feels like our own private oasis. The difference is unbelievable. From the initial imaging and design concepts to the very last finishing touches, the work was nothing short of spectacular. We had some design challenges due to water-level constraints in Long Beach, and Adam handled everything with total professionalism. He came up with a revised plan that not only solved the issue but actually made the design even better than our original vision. His eye for design is incredible. The crews were meticulous, talented, and consistent. They showed up every day, worked cleanly, and took pride in every detail. They consistently checked in with us about placements, cuts, and finishes to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. The craftsmanship is flawless -- our stone wall, hardscape lines, and pool area are perfect. Topaz coordinated beautifully with the pool company as well; the entire process felt seamless and thoughtfully managed. The end result is breathtaking. We still walk outside and can't believe this is our yard. Thank you, Adam, and thank you, Topaz Design. Our home is more beautiful because of your work. I would recommend Topaz without hesitation to anyone looking for high-quality design and build work, and we'll absolutely be using them again for future projects.
