He walked across the street to the shop to ask for help trying to replace the serpentine belt even if it was only advice. He would have gladly paid someone to walk over and help, but was told in no uncertain terms :we're too busy". As the garage closed for the day and we were still sitting in the parking lot, every single worker walked out and drove away. So much for "exceptional customer service", treating people "like family", friendly down to earth. I can only hope someday they need a little help to get through and are turned away. FYI....both the staff at Advance Auto Parts and Mark S., service manager at West Herr Chevy in Hamburg, went above and beyond to get us going again. Now that's exceptional customer service!!!

He would find a way to word or express what was wrong with my vehicle, how much the parts would be, and what the estimated total would be with labor in an easy way for me to understand without making me feel like a moron (like some mechanics have done). He also helped me plan along like "well if you need to wait a week til next paycheck you could drive it but I wouldn't do more than that." Or when her frame gave out and he had to tell me that the cost to fix it would be more expensive than just getting another used car. At Vics you can really tell that Chris and his team put their customer's first and I'll keep going back to them for services. Check struts/suspension and call me with opinion, 4. a wheel alignment if it needed it from #3 . 5 oil change , waited my week and half. Took it there early at 8am on Monday . Wrote on a piece of paper and placed it on my dashboard before I turned my keys over stating the above things as well with my phone number in #3 for calling me about struts/suspension. I get a automated text around 1pm saying my cars done. So no phone call the whole time!Go pick my car up they tell me $450 and they replaced the ball joints tire roto and balance(but they didn't put balance on the receipt because they don't charge?) wheel alignment and oil change. I paid cash just upset cause a silent anxiety attack. I drove home 15 mins away on the throughway doing 55-65 with flow of traffic and my car/steering wheel/tires are shaking and vibrating worse. Immediately slowed down to 50 got home and parked it . Couldn't sleep even sent a text back to the automated number at 6am upset that I paid $450 for work I never authorized. Also seen balancing wasn't on the receipt . I called at 8am when they opened and said what happened to me and if they forgot to balance the tires because it's not on paperwork. And idk who but told me they don't charge for it so they don't put it on the receipt ( yet they're doing work to my car, not documenting it) and to drop it off and will take 40 mins.. brang it back for them to fix and when I dropped it off , the older gentleman on the left lift he didn't seem in the best mood and sorta just hung my keys up and kept working I told him I parked it on side street and left. I had to call them 3.5 hours later saying what's the deal and . They told me ohh yeah it's been done you can get it whenever. (Again didn't call me) Picked my car up didn't even close the door from my mom dropping me off and Chris the owner I believe told me yeah check it out we looked at it is seems fine we drove it around . You might've threw a weight idk how fast you drive, Take it for a spin back on throughway and let me know what you think . I walked out to look at my worn equipment and without any hassle the mechanic showed me what I had, or in this case, what I didn't have. I went back to the waiting room, full of all different types of mags, a full coffee pot and a clean rest room, yea, those two kinda go together. My car was down off the lift and out for a test drive within an hour and the price was exactly what was quoted on the phone. (cheapest of 6 places that I called) No one tried to sell me anything else or find other stuff wrong with the car, in fact the one mechanic actually gave some great advise on how to solve another issue I'm having with out spending another chunk of change. I am always able to get an appointment quickly, I receive updates on the status and if there are additional fees for extra work within a timely manner. Every guest is always greeted quickly when they walk in the door. I am a woman who doesn't know a ton about cars. There are many times I ask for a breakdown or explanation about suggested services or work being suggested. The employees here always are very patient and happy to explain everything in detail. I am never treated like I am stupid or I should know this. If I decline the work I am never treated poorly and there are never passive aggressive comments made. Kept my money for no service provided for over a month…read more Check engine light. Was told it was catalytic converter. Charged me over $2400. 5 minutes down the road check engine light on again. Turn around. The next day informed the part was defective. I could come get my car for a full refund. Came back for a 3rd time, signed the paperwork. Took car to the dealer & it was NOT the catalytic converter at all. I get my credit card statement. The original charge is there, but NO refund. Call firestone. After much back & forth am told I would have to came back into the shop to sign something else to get my money back. WHY WOULD I NEED TO SIGN ANYTHING ELSE? Finally get a call from the "regional manager" who says if I am *unwilling* to go back to the shop, then all he can do is mail a check. LIKE ANY OF THIS WAS MY FAULT! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR CAR!!!!
