Got a flat tire on New Year's Day. Regular tire placed closed so I went to Firestone McKinley in a pinch. Offered a free car inspection which I foolishly accepted. After some wait they informed me that the hole was too big and couldn't be repaired (I filled the tire several times that morning and it held enough air to drive an hour at a time). also informed me they couldn't repair anyway because all four of my tires wouldn't pass inspection for tread wear. This sounded ridiculous to me so I declined and left. When I drove away I noticed my service engine light suddenly was lit. Dropped my car at Big D on 20 with a note. called them back early on 1/2. Tire repaired, no problem. Two small holes. Still holding air today. Asked about the condition of all 4 tires. Said they were getting there but good until late summer. As for the service engine light I stopped at West Herr Ford on Camp. They immediately determined the cause was Firestone forgot to reconnect the sensor to the air filter! Thankfully no charge. Same for Big D as I bought the tires there. Simply put, I consider this Firestone location a scam artist. I needed an emergency flat tire repair and they falsely tried to upsell me into 4 new tires with BS about too big hole and too low tread. Stay Away! You've been warned! read more

For the second time in 6 months, I booked and confirmed an appointment with this location only to have it completely messed up due to "not enough technicians". They called back twice to reschedule it, first earlier in the day and then eventually for a completely different day because of poor planning on their part. Would not recommend booking any service there because they're not reliable to keep the appointment which screws up the customer's schedule. Was able to reschedule it and service the vehicle at Dunn Tire without any "scheduling" problems. read more

Terrible service, had an appointment at 9 didn't get finished until 1030 for just an inspection. Trapped me into buying new wiper blades just to pass inspection on a vehicle with less then 6,000 miles! Tried to get me on a lifetime alignment plan for $180. This place is slow and try's to get you to spend more money then is actually necessary just to stay in business. Would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

Went to this location today for a quoted estimate. A simple exhaust pipe with no complicated labor involved was estimated for $846.32. The pipe itself cost $80 at autozone and was marked up at a over 100% at $183.99. All I can say is wow. Cole mugger quoted me between $150-$200 over the phone which is really the more accurate realistic price of this job. read more

I come here a few times a year for maintenance. I am always impressed with how professional and on top of things the employees are. I am always able to get an appointment quickly, I receive updates on the status and if there are additional fees for extra work within a timely manner. Every guest is always greeted quickly when they walk in the door. I am a woman who doesn't know a ton about cars. There are many times I ask for a breakdown or explanation about suggested services or work being suggested. The employees here always are very patient and happy to explain everything in detail. I am never treated like I am stupid or I should know this. If I decline the work I am never treated poorly and there are never passive aggressive comments made. The staff here should be commended on doing a great job on the vehicles and also for outstanding customer service. I definitely recommend to others in the future. read more

Coincidence? I think not. Brought my Jeep home yesterday. Four new tires. Sat out front until I had to leave at 2am. Flat tire.

The only positive thing I can say here is that they identified what was wrong with my car. I took it there because my car broke down not far from the shop. I needed two new struts, a serpentine belt, and a harmonic balancer. When I got the estimate the next day, it came in at over $1300. On a hunch, I got a second opinion and I got the car fixed perfectly for $500. Most mechanics charge about $80 an hour where Firestone charges $112. The work they estimated obviously would have taken them a lot longer to do, hence the extra $800. If you need tires, go to Firestone. If you need work done to your car, go to a local mechanic who is well reviewed and save yourself some money. read more

I came in yesterday for tires and they said I needed an appointment. I made one for 10am this morning. I came and dropped it off, they said it would be ready in an hour to an hour and a half. I walked to the mall across the street and hung out. After two and a half hours they still hadn't called me, so I went in to check on it. They still hadn't moved it from the parking spot I parked it in this morning. I waited in their waiting area for another hour before they tried to take it in. They couldn't take it back because the battery is dead. It's a newer battery, and theres never been any problems with it, I didn't have any problems with it this morning. I didn't have the lights on or anything running that could've killed the battery while it was sitting there. They jumped it and took it back but they said I need a new battery. It's almost 2pm, they still haven't changed my tires. read more

They always treat me well. The customer service is good and they do a good job on the cars. We use them for tires, alignment, and balancing. I recommend the lifetime alignment, we take the cars in quarterly and get max life out of the tires. Just stoped in for rotation and had squeaks new brakes... I brought my car in for a noise coming from a specific place in the front of the car. I have heard this noise in other cars of mine and was pretty confident I knew what it was. I asked them to look at it and was happy to hear for $10 they would inspect the car. A couple hours later I get a call with the news. They said all 4 struts need to be replaced (1400) along with other things totaling over 2k. I said no thanks, picked my car up and paid my 10 bucks. Brought the car to a friend of mine who owns his own shop (I use him for larger repairs and try not to take advantage of the relationship with little things I know he wouldnt charge me for). I first described what I was hearing and he immediately said "ball joint 9/10 times". I then told him what firestone said and he insisted I bring it to him. Today he looks at the car on the lift and says theres no need to replace the struts at all. While not new, they are not worn and theres no play in them. He wasnt talking about the front strut either, he was talking about all 4...the 4 that firestone claimed were all bad. I've decided that I am done with FS and wont even use them for a simple task like an oil change. While any place you go will always recommend an air filter for $40 (tip, you can buy one for less than 10 and install it yourself in about 6 minutes) I cant get behind trying to get me to replace struts that arent needed and that would not have fixed the problem I had. One less customer may not mean much to them, but I needed to put this out there for others to know. read more

Worst place to go ever 2 weeks ago I was told I needed three tires to pass inspection I set up an appointment to bring it back to get tires and do inspection and now they give me a list of thing I need to pass inspection, just because I am a female they think they can walk all over me well you are wrong and I will never ever come back to this company. For whatever reason men think woman do not know about vehicles well guess what I am not dumb and I will make sure you guys do not do this to another woman. I made an appointment for four new tires. Upon arrival, the tires were not ordered/available due to someone else's error. The Tire manager, Bryan, apologized and made me an excellent offer on other (better) tires. No gimmicks, no sales pitch, just doing the right thing for the customer. This business is a complete ripoff. They tease you in by advertising coupons like $15 for a NYS inspection. Then they told me I needed new rear brakes, hubs, and pads, and a new right front tie rod. The total cost of these parts is $100, but they quoted me a price of over $700! That is $600 of labor for about 2 hrs of work! This is not a classic or antique vehicle, it's a hyundai! Never go to this business, they will try to rip you off (especially if you are a woman and they don't think you know what you are talking about). Shame on you Firestone. read more
