This is the second time in the last 5 years we've had service from Sterling and once again, they are truly the best company for pool equipment repair out there. Homan responded to my email immediately, came within a couple days to give an estimate then when here to do the work he investigated our issue further and said no, it didn't make sense to replace what we were about to replace. He said there's still life in it and refused to take any payment for taking apart things to investigate. My Dimensions One Spa had a couple of leaks in the plumbing. Homan demonstrated exceptional knowledge and creativity as he replaced the heating element and sealed the joints. The problem were more extensive than he could have forseen, but he was extremely fair and professional in taking care of the complications. The very friendly and professional serviceman did a full inspection, found the problem, gave us a quote on site, ordered the part that day, and was back two days later (as soon as the part came in) to install it. We buy all our pool chemicals here and always get our water tested. This independent owner operated store always has the right prescription for our pool needs. We maintain our own pool. I've worked with this company for about three years or more. On the positive side, the owner (who is a technician, at the same time) and their chief technician are very knowledgeable and proficient. On the negative side, the owner is extremely arrogant and overbearing. For two years the same maintenance team serviced the pool and I was very satisfied with them. Then they decided to change the crew and sent me a new hire. That guy was obviously sloppy, careless and negligent. I tried to request that they send the former team but to no avail. Things worked out for about a year until one day when, after the guy's visit, I found that the pressure gauge on top of the filter tank had been broken. The guy wiped it out while walking by with his pole, or in some other way. It is an accident that could happen, but he should have informed his supervisor and have it replaced. Luckily, I noticed before the the pump had started and splashed water all over the place for hours (which could have happened) had I not noticed the damage. I called the owner and requested that they send another team for maintenance. He simply scorned me and canceled the maintenance. He came however, and replaced the broken part in three minutes. The moral: it is a company I would recommend (although their current prices are quite high), but one should not get in contentious discussions with them, because one would lose. read more

Great shop. Yes it is small and does not have a lot of toys and such. But if you need supplies, parts, or service they are excellent. I went in once, bought an incorrect gasket and messed it up when I installed it. I came back later to get the right one and not only did he personally make sure I got the right one that time, he did not charge me for it. Their parts and chemicals are significantly cheaper than Leslie's too. They service polaris sweeps for no labor as well (looked great too). Very happy. Sort of a mom and pop pool supply alternative. read more

Sterling Pool maintains our townhome complex pool and spa. They are very knowledgeable, responsive, friendly, and do a great job cleaning and providing mechanical repairs. They are aware of County regulations and help to keep our pool and spa in compliance. They are not the cheapest, but having tried several other companies, we returned to Sterling, happy to pay a bit more for much better service than we found elsewhere (stay away from Excel Pool and Spa!!). read more

This is a small store but for points they loose in size they more then make up in service. They are very helpful, will answer any and all questions, and if they don't have what your looking for they will order it. Also, they will test your water for free and tell you what you need to do to bring your pool chemicals up to where they need to be. They also carry your chemicals out to your car and put them in your trunk for you. read more

I can't say enough about sterling pool. I quit going to Leslie's because I finally determined they really don't know anything. They just want to sell stuff you don't need,anyway every time I have had a question it was always answered in a way I understand. I was finally I was in need of a new reel for my solar blanket (20yrs). They ordered new reel,installed it,installed new blanket. Did a terrific job. On time cleaned everything up. Their products might seem to be more expensive than the chain competitors, however, Sterling's chemicals last longer in my pool and spa which is a huge plus for me. The store manager, Ye, was super friendly, professional, sold me only what I needed (he cleaned what I could keep from the old part an put it in the new one) and also gave me a short piece of hose to replace my old one at no extra cost (the hose was not broken but a bit brittle).
