Leaving this review for prospective parents looking to chose this daycare for their child. I have…read morenot nor will I ever enroll my child in this facility for a few reasons. 1. They do not answer their phones. 2. They are vague via email. 3. Can guarantee you as the parent, will have more professionalism and better customer service than whoever responds to email inquiries. The phone thing, I do not get it and do not agree. This was the ONLY childcare facility that did not answer their phones once in the dozen times that I called looking for information. Every single other daycare I shopped (over a dozen) either picked up the phone or called me back. How can a childcare facility not answer their phone? I digress I had to ask whoever was responding via email if they weren't enrolling because they did not come out and say it, I also had to ask about a waitlist because this information was not offered (emails to be posted). When I reached out to this facility I let them know what the situation was the response was "we are not enrolling for that program at this time". I was asking about part time, no information on full time was given, nothing about a waitlist (I still don't know the answer about a waitlist because they never responded) Customer service is easy, offer all of the information up front and answer any questions. I asked for a phone call, I let them know I may be misunderstanding their tone, none of this was ever addressed or answered. I wanted to go with this facility because it worked for our price point, schedules, and location. However, if this were the last childcare facility accepting in Austin I would not choose to use them. They don't answer the phone or return calls and seem pretty subpar at answering emails. I'm not usually one to leave a review in this regard however, I feel it important to parents looking for a school for their children to know that they are incredibly unresponsive. Not something that you want to be when taking care of children. I sincerely hope that no one else encounters the same frustrations.

My son's vocabulary is more advanced than my oldest was at this age. He is very talkative and active and I attribute that to the environment here. We are moving to Georgetown and I'm seriously considering driving all the way here to continue his care. It is such a great feeling knowing your kiddo is happy to see the teachers...even jumping into their arms at times.

There are scheduled parent teacher conferences throughout the year, and a newsletter is sent out reviewing what the class is covering every week. I love the 4 and 5 year old teacher, Ms Liu. She is attentive and caring. My son's Chinese has improved with his daily lessons. He even recognizes several Chinese characters now. Ms. Xu and Ms. Zhao are always smiling in the morning when we drop off our child. The director, Terri, is very patient and responsible. The school is open many of the holidays that other schools are closed, which helps working parents. Overall, I would highly recommend this school.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to enroll our daughter at Little Hands. Before joining,…read moreshe was reluctant to attend her previous daycare, but everything changed after we found Little Hands. She was so excited to go to school every day, and it is truly one of the best decisions we have ever made for her. Little Hands is a wonderful place for children. It is always very clean, the teachers are incredibly caring, and the curriculum is very well-designed. They cover so many subjects, including science, arts, math, Chinese, Spanish, English, sports, and the kids are constantly encouraged to be creative. We also love how they celebrate various cultural festivals and teach the children to respect and appreciate cultural differences. Our daughter graduated from Little Hands in the summer of 2023. Although we moved out of state after her graduation, we had the chance to visit Austin in the summer of 2024 due to my work. Ms. Terri welcomed us back and took wonderful care of our daughter for two weeks, just like before. Ms. Terri and her team of teachers are truly the best. They are deeply committed to the development and growth of the children and work hard to prepare them for the future. Little Hands is by far our best daycare and preschool center, and we will always come back to visit when we get the chance.

My second child started as a newborn and my oldest child is now involved in after school... he was well prepared for Kinder; both kids amaze me with the things they learn and say! TLE has a great app to keep parents informed and send pictures. The teachers and staff are fun, friendly and attentive and the owner and management team (Erin and Jannifer) are absolutely amazing! They have handled the Covid-era very well and kept our children healthy and safe. I love their curriculum, the Make Believe Boulevard play room, outside play areas and that TLE includes the extracurricular activities on a rotation versus bringing in outside vendors that you have to pay extra for or feel guilty not signing up for. Super cute school and amazing staff... thank you for all you do TLE!!

My fiancé and I paid The Learning experience as a private preschool for our African American 4…read moreyear old son, at the time the only African American student enrolled full time. What we received from day one was antagonizing, harassing discriminatory treatment from Erin director and owner with constant threats to kick our son out. 3, 2, 1, the branding and numbers on the front of the building, is the disciplinary action steps The Learning Center uses to push out a child before after accepting payments. 1 send the child Home for a day, 2 send the child home for 2 days, 3 ask the parent to take the child somewhere else. Before enrolling we were told this center was a private preschool it is not. I was made to complete more than 20 forms specifying my child's allergies etc that weren't followed. I put it in writing that we don't give our son cookies or sweets and received pictures this wasn't the case etc. For days in a row after paying $125 for an enrollment fee and $1125 for the month. Erin the owner would call us and ask that we come and pick up our son an hour after dropping him off for seemingly nothing at all. She also lied multiple times. The cameras in the center do not work to record only as a live feed for center owners husband to watch from home (what is this about). Day two of my child being at the day care I was called by Erin and told my son was behaving uncharacteristically and I needed to come get him at 9am in the morning roughly an hour after dropping him off. I was told my son was up walking around during story time touching toys and didn't return to his seat. Instead of getting 8 hours of day care on this day I got one. I explained that my son was in a Montessori for 2 years and I never had problems, and had been home with me during Pandemic. My fiancé and I decided this center would not be best for our child and we privately searched for another school to put him in. At this point in the final days I would ask teachers in heavily overly populated classes (1 teacher/ 20+ students) how my son behaved? I would get good reports and literally while turning the corner to leave the building be pulled into the front office every single day and told things perceived to be bad by Erin some examples include my son knocked blocks over, my son knocked over dolls from a chair, my son wouldn't share a toy he played with another student. While I paid for day care services, one day I came to the day care and sat and watched my own son for about two hours during which two white students sat at a table one with a sharp pencil in his hand pretending to stab another student in the eye. I pointed this out to myself and nothing was done but my son constantly was sent home. The heartbreak of it all is my 4 year has no clue why he was asked to leave the school every other day and keeps asking to go to school. I do not recommend this place, it's sad that as a mother I was dragged into the office with the centers owner daily to talk about stuff four year old boys do for hours at a time. Your son we to the bathroom multiple times, your son grabbed a toy from a shelf during center time please pick him up. My sons self esteem took multiple hits during an attempt at a four year old character assassination. Now thankful that I recorded audio telephone calls and videos of my interactions.

Not providing time for me to find new childcare for my children was deeply unkind, especially since there were zero issues with how my children were engaging with their classrooms. My daughter had 6 teachers in 7 months at this school; 5 of those 6 teachers had NEVER been in childcare before Montessori Oaks. Both the teachers individually shared this with me, and Ninna later verified it. Ninna is generally lacking in professionalism, aptitude for running a business, and isn't a present or engaged leader at the school. Ninna & Carl, I was a PARENT of your school. It seems that my generosity and volunteerism had somehow shifted your expectations of me, which had you treating me like staff. You did not pay me, I did not work for you, and I had ZERO responsibility to register families at Montessori Oaks. Furthermore, YOU have a responsibility to be professional with ME as paying customer. For you to believe that I owe you professionalism and to register families at MO is absolutely senile. You don't know what you're doing, your staff have little respect for you, you aren't present on campus or with parents, you're defensive about feedback, and you've had to close your other campus and complain openly about the alarming financials of the Anderson Mill campus. If anyone is unprofessional, it's you. You are the common denominator of your businesses failures. Regardless of this, I have given dozens of hours of my time beautifying the campus and building a parent community, I've referred and registered families, and I've supported you through your mental health difficulties and business challenges (on multiple occasions Ninna solicited me for business and management advise about how to write up and fire teachers). Blaming me for the failing status of the school may be convenient, but ultimately, we all know that if you run a great program, you'll fill your classrooms. All this said, my son, who was upstairs with Nipa and Alex, had a fantastic learning and classroom experience with those two teachers. I couldn't recommend Nipa and Alex more highly. After leaving, I've had several parents reach out to me sharing similar frustrations about Ninna and how the school is run. Including one family who was kicked out without notice....there's a theme. If you're seriously considering enrolling here, I'd encourage you to call at 5 different times during open hours just to see how often the phone is answered...Ninna's not there, she's not engaged, and she'll pretend that the failing school status is because of others. Get a grip Ninna. You're in charge. Act like it.
