From August through May, our daughter had eight different teachers in her classroom. That level of turnover made it very difficult for the classroom to have the consistency, structure, and experienced instruction we expected. At this age, children need a reliable presence to build emotional safety, trust, and developmental confidence. Instead, the classroom often felt unstable, and we saw noticeable changes in behavior during periods of teacher turnover and classroom stress. To be clear, this is not a criticism of every teacher. We are grateful for Ms. Jordan, Ms. Spivey, and Ms. McNulty, who cared for our daughter and did their best in a difficult environment. The issue, in our view, was administrative: hiring, training, supporting, and retaining teachers, as well as listening to parent concerns. We raised concerns earlier in the year and requested a classroom change, but we did not feel heard. When changes were eventually made, teachers were moved again, despite our desire for consistency. Over time, the repeated disruptions broke our confidence in the school. Several families ultimately chose to leave, which speaks to how serious the concerns became. We were disappointed there was no inquiry, exit conversation, or request for feedback after our departure. Without stronger administrative accountability, I worry other families may experience the same challenges.

Both Katherine and Samantha are reliable, personable, and naturally amazing with children. They have a special connection with every child. Second, our kids love being here. They have been able to develop genuine friendships. They have come home excited to share what they have learned. They receive recognition when they go above and beyond what is expected of them. They receive gentle correction provided with grace whenever they make a mistake. Both our now 5 year old and our second born who is 19 months, are the incredible kids they are today because of the amount of energy and love given to them at this incredible school. Finally, you will not, and I've looked, find a better value for what you will get than this place. They are very reasonably priced. There are places with "nicer" amenities that will run you hundreds of dollars more. You also could find something for less money, but those places will pale in comparison to the care and development your child will receive. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great childcare facility. Your child will love interacting with the caring staff. He thinks the outside play area is better, and that the place is bigger and has better toys. The staff is pretty consistent with an acceptable turnover rate. My son has never complained about anything and actually asks if I can let him go to Stepping Stone instead of being an early pick-up on days that I get off work early. I sent him to the 'Y" summer camp this year. They have a lower cost and more activities, such as paintball, daily swim, rock climbing, gaga ball, etc.. Even with all of this, after several weeks my son didn't like it as much since they were outside for almost the entire day and he said he missed his old friends. When I enrolled him back at Stepping Stone he was really excited and is still loving it.

We walked up at 9am, she opens the door asking, "what are you doing here?" i replied, " well we are here for our first day at daycare, ever." and asked my girl to say good morning. (she's a toddler so let's not scare her with this horrible greeting, right? .. wrong .so she demands our names - and is clearly upset we are there. turns out she's upset I was working with someone named gabriela = who apparently works at a main corporate office - and not this location (and how was i supposed to know she's not there? ) I got an email from the director - A. Barker - emailed to me from gabby - so i assumed this was her aide that gave us the tour? WRONG. anyway signed the check after arguing about the pricing -only for her to concede and recognize the discounts i was offered - and then an HOUR later she sends me a bill for the difference she wrote off. was never introduced to the teacher by the teacher or the director so I had no idea who was even watching my child while i was being shoed out and told i can "leave whenever" . She made an already stressful situation so much worse - more than it ever needed to be. I would never recommend this place... not even to my worst enemy. I told them the next day I would never bring my child back again. I asked to allow me to pay for that one day and let's cut ties bc this is not the place for us. I hope if you choose this place, you are treated with more kindness and respect than we were. Praying for all those sweet babies to also be cared for by anyone that actually cares.

(We had to recently move from another school which my babes hated... they would beg me not to leave them) Now my children are both eager to go school and love their teachers. They are learning so much. Swati and everyone at Goddard have taken extra precautions during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure the children are all safe. They have a screening procedure in place and the children have extra hand washing practice. I love Goddard and their method of teaching kiddos. I also appreciate that there are extra curricular programs available such as yoga and secondary language learning such as Spanish. My preschooler has become very comfortable in both English and Spanish conversation. I love seeing his confidence increase. For example, he waved hello to a construction worker the other day. The worker did not acknowledge him. He immediately switched to Spanish and greeted the construction worker again with an enthusiastic "Hola!" The man turned around and waved. My son was so pleased to be able to communicate and I was pleased at his quick bilingual transition! We've had multiple classmates leave and quickly come back missing the Goddard community. So many families with multiple kids here.

Towards the end of our enrollment, I was paying an insane amount of money a month for them to just keep my child alive. He was learning nothing. Now we are at The Learning Experience at Pflugerville. The director and owner are warm, caring and have understood the pain we endured at our previous center. The entire staff has been patient with my child as he adjusts to a structured learning environment. There's a curriculum and the follow it! I was so impressed at the end of the month to receive a workbook with all of my child's assignments. I get to see his work, not just get a vague report. Throughout the day we get lovely pics of our child's day, and updates on his eating and sleep schedule. It's early days but so far, this center has been a breath of fresh air. Once you look passed all the new and fancy everything (the center is gorgeous!), there's real learning going on, not just daycare. My son loves it here.

Ms. Amaiya has been outstanding with our daughter while she was in Toddler B. Our daughter loves her so much so that now that she has moved on from her class, she will still sometimes refuse to enter the new class unless Ms. Amaiya is there. She has been so great that she'll often at times help take her in the morning until her current teacher is available to get her. We are extremely grateful for her! Currently, our daughter is in Ms. Stephanie's class and she loves and trusts her as well. Ms. Stephanie has been incredible and is always available to give us updates on our daughter's potty training. She encourages her all the time to do things on her own and she's been so crucial for us in helping us potty train our daughter. The front desk of TLE has been amazing as well! Ms. Jessica and her team have done an amazing job and really have given a lot of consistency to the facility that we felt was lacking for a while. Seeing Ms. Jessica's and Ms. Phoenix's faces in the morning always lights up our daughter's face. We are moving away soon and won't be able to send our daughter here. We will truly miss the staff and all they have done for our daughter. They have made such a big impact on our daughter's and our lives and we hope we've made a lasting impression as well.

We've tried a couple of different schools before, but she is extremely sensitive and is afraid of other children hurting her. While she would get through the day at other schools she never wanted to go back, and when I'd pick her up she'd often be sitting in the corner quietly, with legs and arms tucked close to her body - a defensive position. She hasn't received an official diagnosis, but we strongly suspect that she has Sensory Processing Disorder. Emerson Academy takes children of all abilities, which means that they offer specialized training to their teachers. This training has meant all of the difference in the world to us. In previous schools the teachers would loudly and enthusiastically greet my daughter each morning, no matter how many times they saw her shrink back and cover her ears. The teachers at Emerson actually pay attention and respond appropriately. They can recognize the signs of a child being overwhelmed or scared, so they just smile warmly and welcome her with a quiet voice. This probably isn't a big deal for most parents, but for us it is HUGE and a sign that they'll really understand how to work with her. I am thrilled to say that my daughter loves going to school here now. She has absolutely blossomed under their care! She talks enthusiastically about how much she loves her teachers (and even gives them kisses and holds their hands), but even better - they have pushed her just enough to encourage her to really socialize with her peers. They have done an outstanding job of encouraging her to try new things without pushing her too far outside of her comfort zone. I was terrified that all of the progress we'd made would be lost when she moved into a new classroom. My daughter LOVED her old teachers, especially Miss Laken. I'm thrilled to say that the way they handled the transition really made it seamless. They have the different classrooms overlap while playing outside (and they do a LOT of outside play) so that the kids have a chance to get to know kids and teachers in other classes. The week of transition the children would gradually increase the amount of time they spent in the other class over the course of the week. This type of gradual transition is just what my daughter needed. It also means that she still gets the opportunity to see her old, beloved teachers each day. I've referred several friends here now, and they have been just as satisfied as we are. I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Emerson Academy and these outstanding teachers.
