At 15 months old, my baby boy hadn't seen many new places or people due to the pandemic - so when we made the decision to send him to daycare I was SO nervous! We toured several daycares in the area, but the moment I met and spoke with Marisol I knew we had found our spot! You can tell she and Richard really care about their place and the kiddos and love what they're doing. Bree is fantastic and keeps us fully informed when anything comes up. My son gets to do all kinds of fun activities (and I get to see photos through the app throughout the day!) and I can tell he really loves it there - he's always quick to grab his backpack in the mornings and head out to see Bubbles! Honestly, you hear so many horror stories about daycares and wondering who your kiddo(s) are hanging out with all day and what they're doing (especially as a first time Mama!) - but everyone I've spoken with at TLE has been nothing but patient and kind with all of my questions and worries and I am 1000% confident my son is in the right hands. read more

We initially inquired about this daycare because of its strong reviews and because they participate in TEFA, which gave us the impression that they support inclusivity for children with disabilities and different learning needs. During our first tour, I shared with the owner how excited I was about the possibility of enrolling my son because the facility appeared clean, organized, and well-run. She proudly showed us their awards, but the conversation later shifted to discussing another parent's issues with their child biting staff members. Personally, I felt uncomfortable hearing details about another family's situation, especially without hearing both sides. Later, I explained that my son has a disability and that we were approved for TEFA funding. I shared that he is speech delayed and somewhat behind academically. I also explained that he previously attended a private Catholic school that requested a one-on-one aide, although his IEP team did not recommend one. We are transferring him because we cannot afford the cost of a one-on-one aide on top of tuition. I also clarified that while he has a medical condition, he has not been diagnosed with autism or ADHD, and evaluations from neurology, ABA, and neuropsychology specialists did not indicate autism. I explained that the academic expectations at his previous school were simply not the right fit for him, and that we believed a more play-based environment would better support his development and learning style. However, during this discussion, the owner repeatedly emphasized how advanced their standards were and mentioned that many of their 4-year-olds already know how to read. Unfortunately, the tone of the conversation made me feel less reassured about how welcoming or supportive the environment would be for children with developmental differences or disabilities. What stood out even more to me was the reaction when I mentioned that we had received TEFA funding that would cover the full school year. The owner immediately asked how much funding we received. After I told her the amount, her eyes widened, and she became noticeably quiet while pulling out a calculator and computing the yearly total. That interaction made me uncomfortable and gave the impression that the financial aspect became more important than understanding my child's actual needs. Because of these concerns, I began having second thoughts about enrolling my son and asked for the payment to be placed on hold while my husband scheduled a second tour. Within two days, we were informed that the slot for the next school year had already been filled. What was frustrating was that instead of directly informing us that no spots were available, we were still asked to work around their schedule for another tour. I was also told that I had "cancelled," when I had clearly requested that enrollment simply be put on hold while we made a final decision as a family. Afterward, I also came across other reviews from parents who felt their children with disabilities were treated differently. Reading those experiences made our interaction feel even more concerning. It also made me question how genuine some of the positive reviews are, because our experience was very different from what was portrayed online. I cannot say whether reviews are incentivized, but it did leave me wondering if discounts, perks, or other incentives may influence some of the overwhelmingly positive feedback. I truly hope this daycare reflects on what inclusivity really means. Participating in programs like TEFA should involve genuinely welcoming and supporting children with different needs, not just meeting requirements on paper. read more

Our daughter started attending this Learning Experience a few months ago, and we could not be happier! It was the hardest decision my wife and I had to make, and we were nervous about sending her somewhere five days a week. I researched a majority of the Pre-K centers east of I35 and north of HWY 79, both traditional and Montessori. I'm glad I chose TLE Hutto. The security feels appropriate, tuition is comparable to other schools in the area which provide all snacks/lunch, and it doesn't feel as though profit is the main driver. Owners Marisol and Richard are invested and always on site...except during their annual cruise. :) OM Bree is kind and on top of things. At first i thought i was going to like this school for my child. But Marisol the director terminated my child due to her disability and not wanting the staff to learn how to properly wrap my daughter wrapping brace. I talked to Marisol before enrolling my daughter about my child's disability of her arm and she was fine but she kept saying that i was complaining to much about my daughter not having her brace wrapped properly, they got new staff and the new staff was not given instructions by the director on how to wrap my daughters brace. There was two incidents where the brace cut off my daughter's circulation and i told the director and she said i was complaining about it. I would not recommend any child with disability to come here cause they honestly don't want to deal with it. Very sad and also they have kids watch to much TV which they call it learning time but it's really all over the place. I'm just extremely dissatisfied with how things turned out. read more

My daughter has been attending the Hutto, TX TLE since Dec21 & we couldn't be more thrilled. Having come from another TLE close by (with not the most amazing experience)we were so nervous. But the transition to this new school was like a night and day difference! I could not ask for a better facility, teacher, & overall experience. This is the absolute best daycare/school I have ever known. We have had our son here since the day they opened almost 3 years ago. It has been nothing short amazing. Wish they were around when my daughter was younger. We had 3-4 daycares for her and I never ever felt 100% confident like I do here. Marisol, Richard, Bree and all the staff go above and beyond each and every day. I have and my husband currently works for DFPS so we are well aware of the guidelines and the horror stories of childcare centers. I did not have a pleasant experience from the moment I walked in until I had to fight for my deposit back. There was a lot of miscommunication and many things they don't tell you until after the tour when you're about to pay. They group all the kids together, all 1's together, 2's, etc (which is okay) because they don't have enough staff. But as far as development goes I do not think that's right and causes way too many kids in a classroom. They act as if their facility is the place to be but hide the fact that they require additional deposits and strict guidelines. My son was going to be one but because he couldn't walk I would have had to pay the infant price although he would be in the toddler classroom. No bottles either. The staff was not friendly nor welcoming. There was just so much misinformation and lack of communication that I just could not follow through with sending my son there. I hope others have a better experience because I definitely didn't! Update to my review: I still have not had anyone reach out to me about this issue like they have claimed below. Still do not recommend this place, but glad they have implemented some changes since my previous review given the new reviews. Oh, and THEY DELETED MY REVIEW OFF OF GOOGLE!! My son started at this daycare when they first opened and is now going off to kindergarten. The Learning Experience is the best daycare! My child was going to another childcare before we found The Learning Experience. The difference we notice was he was no longer getting sick and didn't cry when we dropped him off. Do not recommend! Be aware that you are going to initially think this place is nice because it's shiny and new. Has a really nice indoor play area. People sitting at the front desk smiling and acting nice until they get your money. My husband and I were truly in a bind and needed to find child care urgently. My husband and I toured three schools in one day and decided that Learning Experience was the best option at the time. I did have some reservations because they were very expensive and didn't even offer camera access to parents. When I inquired about why they didn't I was informed it was a security issue and they had tried in the past. They have hundreds of kids and that would give strangers access to view kids that are not their own. Which I think is a stupid reason. The main concern is that your child is safe and secure and you have a peace of mind in being able to view your child whenever you choose. This place hires young unprofessional girls that truly lack an educational background in early childhood development. Which I also addressed to the owner. She said the teachers not having degree was not an issue and education doesn't mean everything. Week after week i was having to address issues the teachers were incapable of handling. The final straw was when i was called at my job and asked to pick up my son because they said he was having a bad day and thought it was best if he leave for the day. The audacity of these people to call someone and request they leave work. It's not the parents responsibility to figure out how you should redirect a two year old while they are at work. Prime example of why this school is failing because the young teachers are not being equipped with the necessary tools and educational background on how to respond and act appropriately when children misbehave. You don't call a parent to come pick up their child because you don't know how redirect a child from certain behavior. The director Bri kept suggesting I read a book about how to address certain behaviors in a two year old. Here's an idea why don't you and those girls that are referred to as teachers read the book so you all can learn how to manage a freaking two year old without having to call the parents to leave their job for the day and lose pay. Everyday my son constantly told me two boys hit him. When i asked the teachers they all claimed to not have seen anything. When I would pick my son up his face was always dirty, clothes full of stains from markers and food. Avoid this place you will just being paying a lot of money for the neighborhood babysitter to watch your child and not do a great job. I am happy to announce my son is at a wonderful new daycare that is nearby and offers camera access and daily Tadpole updates! read more

After touring several preschools in the area, that either a) did not meet our standards or b) had a long waiting list - we came to TLE. From the very first day, they made us feel like family and exceeded our expectations. The teachers are nurturing, enthusiastic, patient & creative. We love their curriculum, the open communication & how the owner is always there. The center is clean, secure & everything is brand new. Best of all is the parent app where we get daily reports & pics of our toddler's schedule. Initially - we were concerned with how our daughter would react to being without her bottle; however, she adapted just fine.
