Best Montessori School around!…read more Where do I begin? The staff here are some of the sweetest and friendliest people I have ever met. They go above and beyond to involve our children in everything and are so patient with them. My son was in Ms. Jerical's class last year with Ms. Gabi, Ms. Becca, and on e more assistant. He raved about them and spoke about them everyday when he came home. He had nothing but great stories to tell. His younger brother took his spot this year and was beyond thrilled to be a part of the Marimont Montessori family. Ms. Rachel the owner, and her husband, run an amazing, clean business and are also so friendly. They always return our calls and emails right away. They have chickens and other farm animals, the children learn to garden, and there is ample outdoor time, which they believe is so important and so do I. I have so many great things I can't fit them all. Stop looking around and have your children go here, you won't be disappointed and your children will THRIVE! We love everyone here. Thank you so much for helping my children grow and be the best they can be!

This may be the only Yelp review I write with tears in my eyes as I think of our wonderful memories…read moreover the past few years at Marimont. Between two children and a cross-country move, we have experienced more than our share of daycares -- easily a half-dozen over the past decade. This one stands out as being the best by a long shot. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this facility is a hidden gem. My only regret is that we didn't find it sooner. I think the best way to sum up my feelings is that every time I dropped off my child here, I felt such joy -- joy at seeing the directors Rachel and James running a caring-centered facility, joy at seeing the teachers empathetically interacting with children, joy at seeing the kids working independently at lessons that ranged from feeding farm animals on site, working in the gardens or enjoying a variety of lessons inside the classroom. As opposed to stricter Montessori environments I had experienced, where parents were discouraged from participating, we were welcomed here for monthly poetry recitals, Bubbles & Books and more. I loved the random events that inspired creativity, such as Dress Like a Composer Day or Chordate Day. We also participated in extracurriculars such as cooking class. I knew my child was always cared for and would experience a love of learning at this facility. We couldn't have asked for a better start, and how much I miss it now that this chapter is behind us.

After being on the waitlist for about 6 weeks, my son started in the Infant B classroom. His teachers Ms. Demica and Ms. Lily have been absolutely wonderful. He always smiles when he sees Ms. Demica and goes right into her arms. And there's no doubt in my mind that Ms. Lily was put on this earth to work with children. They're amazing teachers! Anytime I drop by, my son is kept clean and always looks well cared for. The facility is tidy and the classroom is so spacious, allowing plenty of room to crawl around and play. They do outside time when the weather is nice too. Also, I really enjoy the photos they send us through the app. Kids can be sensitive to change. When we switched daycares, of course my son was confused and upset at drop off. Ms. Lily in Infant B went above and beyond that day, taking extra care of my crying son and sending us many, many photos on that first day, and it really eased our anxious minds! My son fully adjusted in about 1.5 weeks. And finally, I love that OWM has theme days and events for the children and parents to enjoy! Keep up the great work, OWM!

My first tour of this school half a decade ago impressed me so much. I saw young children walking…read morein perfect single file in the hallway toward the playground keeping their hands to themselves and behaving wonderfully. I remember wondering how kids so young could be so well behaved willingly! What was their secret?! I liked the beautiful colorful facility and class rooms, lovely playground outside as well as an indoor gym facility for when the weather doesn't cooperate! My two children began attending here since infancy about 5 years ago. Both kids were always offered a great routine and structure, education that far exceeds what my friends' children seem to be getting, and plenty of attention. I pay a very fair tuition and in return I have happy, healthy, well behaved sweet brilliant children. A few years ago during my divorce the school paid special attention to the kids and had several meetings with their mother and I that helped keep focus on the welfare of the kids and their condition during a tumultuous time for the little ones. The teachers and Mrs. Jodi noticed things that were really helpful and frankly they kept us in line when we needed it. Since the divorce and current split-custody, my kids have become off and on students here and are currently enrolled, and they absolutely love it! This school took enough interest in the well-being of my children that Mrs. Jodi even attended my custody hearings in court on 2 separate occasions to give an accounting of their experience with the children and both of us parents during the divorce. It really meant a lot and helped the kids. She wouldn't have bothered if they weren't so concerned for their students. All that aside, I find the facility to be fantastic, clean and a very happy place for young children. I am pleased that they have a lovey diversity of students and faculty. The schedule is terrific and I model our home life after the structure and stimulating curriculum the kids receive here. I am grateful for how well behaved and smart my children are. They have been diligent about picking up after themselves and keeping things tidy since they were toddlers and I just think the practices they have learned at this daycare are really impressive.

We were one of the families involved in the incidents, and the school refused to respond to multiple emails from us and the other families trying to obtain information (despite being promised we would all be kept up-to-date regarding camera footage and employee response). They even tried to have this review removed. We also believe they are sugar-coating, minimizing, and even omitting information completely when communicating with the families that remain at the school. It's clear to us that they are more concerned with covering up their mistakes and lack of action than actually protecting children in their care. I would be more than happy to share the truth with anyone interested. Feel free to reach out.

My child was assaulted by a male teacher and once it was brought to their attention they did everything they could do to minimize it and not inform the other parents of the school. Not only that but the head of school lied directly to another parent who inquired what was going on at the school. The head of school stated they couldn't do anything until an affected student had reported an incident to the school. I had already reported it to the school that my daughter was assaulted by this male teacher and happened to be in contact with the other Mom, which is how we knew they lied. They sent out a very misleading email with no specifics to a select group of parents letting them know that a teacher would be let go due to "misjudgment". However, I don't consider the touching of a female student inappropriately a misjudgment. Furthermore Endeavor had no intention on bringing this information to the appropriate authorities. It was only after a case was filed by multiple parents that they were cooperative. They would have likely swept this under the carpet. Furthermore, the fact that they allowed male teachers to be alone and without an adult female in the room is beyond irresponsible, this should never be allowed. Please really think twice about sending your child here. There are far better options.

While the building and supplies provided are great it is truly the staff that makes it special. Mrs. Leti and Ms. Brianna have been absolutely amazing along with the rest of the staff that work with them. As a first time mom they have truly helped me get my child on a schedule, supported her though health challenges and just overall are incrediable humans. They model how I want my child to act and I feel they truly love my child like their own. We would not be as far as we are in milestones without them. We were so eager to have our child attend Sunrise after hearing the amazing reviews from neighbors…read moreand others. Unfortunately our experience in the infant room was less than satisfactory. It was beyond unsatisfactory, it was unsafe. I am a first time mother and there are now flags that I will never miss again. For one, this claims to be a Montessori based program in philosophy, but there are bouncers in the room. Infant room usage of containers was excessive. I received photos of my child in a bouncer regularly and was a bit confused by this as we don't ever use them at home. What I later found was that my child was having difficulty sleeping on site and the team were allowing him to sleep in the bouncer because he refused otherwise. Odd given that he has never slept in one at home. The overuse of Boppy pillows with incorrect and unsafe body positioning was alarming; I received a photo while my child was sliding down it and crying. My child came home with one of the worst rashes he has ever had, red inflamed blotchy skin from front to back. Come to find out chatting with other parents this was a concern shared with their team. The teachers will allay your concerns and say no worries and they'll change the baby every hour, but there seems to be communication breakdowns between morning and afternoon staff. Our final straw was safe sleep and bottle propping. I shared concerns with the director of me directly observing my son being placed to sleep on his stomach and that a child had milk spilling down her face while bottle was propped as she was in a boppy pillow. Not much changed. Around the same time licensing came in and per their report (which is public!) the inspector observed 5 different infants put to sleep on their bellies. My impression became after this inspection my sons teacher blamed me for this inspection as she told another parent it was due to parent complaint, taking zero responsibility for the fact the entire infant team nearly was engaging in UNSAFE and DANGEROUS sleep practices. I understand mistakes. I do not understand team culture disregarding what major organizations and trainings provided state. Infants can die from that. It is beyond ridiculous to even behave in a passive aggressive fashion towards a parent for this concern but also to try to lie when the information is public. The pressure to grow and add more children is showing on these educators and caregivers. Slow down, sunrise. The care has gone from what years ago folks were thrilled about to turning into worse than a major daycare corp.

They claim to be Montessori yet don't allow for individuality and zero imaginary/free play ( if you tour the school notice the toys don't include dolls, animals, kitchen set, cars). I was concerned because my 20 month old wasn't adjusting (after a couple of weeks of being at their facility). I approached the administrator, Suma, in regards to this issue and said she'd "observe and speak with her teachers". In sum, in the middle of the front desk she went on and said my 20 month old "is a whiner and loner because she doesn't play with other children" and I should speak to a doctor about it. Anyone who has basic knowledge in developmental milestones should know that children BEGIN to play the together at the age of 2 and it is normal for them to play alone/parallel play. Suma also said that if my daughter doesn't nap we'd have to pick her up, I said that wasn't option because I had to work she responded by saying "well, then you have to make a choice on what's more important to you". When I went to pick up my daughter that day, the teachers confessed that Suma "only watched my daughter play for 2 minutes and ran with it" they were deeply apologetic and told me Suma was wrong. As I was leaving, I saw Suma eavesdropping on our conversation. She clearly runs they place as a dictatorship and labels children without any backing. Even though I had the paid the month in full, I dissnerolled my daughter from this school and placed her in Prodigy. I could not be any happier with my choice! All I can say is RUN! There are much better schools out there that will allow children to be children and treat you and your family with the respect and patience you deserve.

They named themselves as nut- free facility, but they don't accept enrollment of children with multiple food allergies. I enrolled my son to Parmer Children's Montessori Pre-School, and after two meetings with the daycare center including an email explaining his allergies issue (he is allergic to egg, milk, lentils, tomato, kiwi, and strawberry) they told only on his first day at the daycare that they can't accept him in there due his allergies issue. Mrs. Jodi specifically said my son's condition would create high liability for them and investors wouldn't like that! After this event happened to me, I checked on the DFPS site another complaint that a child was left unsupervised in the bathroom for approximately 2 hours. I wonder how was that even possible and what irresponsibility. Here is the website: https://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child_Care/CCLNET/Source/Provider/ppComplianceHistory.aspx?fid=737009&tab=2 I do not recommend this daycare at all and I appreciate other parents to read this review and really consider not enrolling their child in a place that ignores ADA and its anti-discrimination protection and left children unattended for long periods of time.
