So you won't get any of your concerns properly heard or addressed. I never had such bad experience or felt abused/ignored with any Daycare/School in the past as I felt with TLE Georgetown. I had to send my daughter there because of the proximity from where I live. But I would say driving a lit longer and have your kids in a safe school with management/owner who sincerely value their customers is well invested and worth it. That being said, still I am giving that place one star while it deserves none, only because of Catarina, the admission coordinator. She is the sweetest person ever.

All of the staff, from the director to the teachers, are incredibly friendly and kind. The teachers are attentive and get to know each child and his/her likes, dislikes, strengths, and weaknesses. In the short few months that we have been going there, my 4 yr old son has become more confident, his language has improved, and his love for learning has grown. Aside from learning to read and do math at his young age, he is also expanding his social skills. The teacher he has is one of the best preschool teachers that I have encountered. She makes sure there's a good balance between working hard and playing hard. All of the kids in her class are excited to see her at the beginning of the day and leave her class with a smile on their face. What more could you ask for? I can not recommend this school enough.

Where do I even begin? My son started attending Creative…read moreWorld Georgetown in March, and from the very beginning, there were red flags. Initially, we were hopeful and gave the school the benefit of the doubt, believing things would improve. Unfortunately, they only got worse. Within days, my son began coming home with multiple bite marks -- not small ones, either. These were severe enough that you could count the teeth. To this day, he has a scar on his arm from a bite he received while under their care. We were constantly met with excuses like "this is normal for the age" or "we can't provide one-on-one care." The school lacked to provide multiple incident reports for these injuries unless I found them myself and asked. Only some of them were created. After pushing for weeks, they finally moved my son to the next classroom up as he approached two years old -- something they had promised to do earlier in the month but again Erica provided me with multiple excuses as to why that wasn't happening. In this classroom, I began to notice a troubling pattern. My son, who was in the middle of potty training and doing well at home, suddenly regressed. He developed a severe diaper rash that we had to treat with prescription medication. I would clear it up over the weekend, only for it to return by Monday evening. It became clear he was not being changed regularly, and teachers admitted to this indirectly when I addressed it. I raised these concerns with the assistant director (Andrea), the director (Erica), the regional director (Lisa), and eventually the owner. I even provided emails with imaging. I was told to just "bite the bullet" and put him in underwear. Against my better judgment -- and despite knowing he wasn't quite ready -- I complied. Only then did they begin taking him to the bathroom more regularly, but the care and consistency still fluctuated. When he turned two and entered the "terrible twos" stage, my son began acting out occasionally -- as any child his age might. Instead of responding with developmental understanding, his teacher began accusing him of "bullying" her. I was told he pinched her for attention and hit her. I acknowledged these behaviors and shared the steps I was taking at home to correct them. However, these incidents were rarely documented in any formal report -- only mentioned in passing. Meanwhile, I witnessed other children hit or push my son without any consequences or follow-up from staff. During a meeting about his behavior, I was told by the staff -- including the director, Miss Erica -- that "it's okay for children to hit each other, but not a teacher." When I expressed concern about the lack of enrichment in the classroom -- where children were expected to play with puzzles missing pieces and books without pages -- it was brushed off. The environment was clearly not designed to engage or stimulate two-year-olds. The final straw came when I walked into the classroom unannounced and found my child physically restrained. He was seated in a chair, pinned between the table and a teacher's legs. The other children were playing while my son sat there, alone and without toys or books. This was deeply disturbing and unacceptable. As a former daycare teacher with experience in two-year-old classrooms, I know this job is hard and underpaid. But that does not excuse neglect, lack of training, or emotional harm to children. Every child deserves to be treated with dignity, compassion, and care -- especially at such a vulnerable age. I've now removed my son from Creative World Georgetown (and are still paying for 2 weeks notice here as well as another daycares fees) and am paying an exorbitant amount for a new daycare, just to undo the harm that was caused. My son has been left with bruises, scars, and emotional trauma. My daughter came in a little unruly and not yet socialized enough, she had a speech delay that was being worked on in speech therapy, and she had a lot of energy without direction. Her teachers, Mrs. Valeria, Mrs. Martin (no longer there), and Mrs. Richards (her new teacher), all treated J with such kindness and patience. I felt so comfortable leaving her in their care and I couldn't have asked for a better first school year for my daughter. I volunteered at the school and saw first hand the love these teachers show each and every day, not just my daughters teachers but every single teacher there. I wish I could have kept my daughter here longer but they only go up to pre-k, soon hopefully they'll offer their Bridge to Kinder program- if they do- JUMP ON IT! A cool tidbit of info- they work with the Georgetown Library and have the Wowmobile visit a couple times a year. It's really sweet and my daughter always spoke fondly of it. I have toured over 15 schools and this was the school I fell in love with and I have zero regrets. It was a 20-25 minute commute to take her to school and some people aren't willing to make a drive like that, especially with so many preschools and child care places available in every town- my daughters happiness and safety was worth the drive. Tour the school, meet their curriculum director, get a feel for it- I guarantee you'll love it.

It was beyond unsatisfactory, it was unsafe. I am a first time mother and there are now flags that I will never miss again. For one, this claims to be a Montessori based program in philosophy, but there are bouncers in the room. Infant room usage of containers was excessive. I received photos of my child in a bouncer regularly and was a bit confused by this as we don't ever use them at home. What I later found was that my child was having difficulty sleeping on site and the team were allowing him to sleep in the bouncer because he refused otherwise. Odd given that he has never slept in one at home. The overuse of Boppy pillows with incorrect and unsafe body positioning was alarming; I received a photo while my child was sliding down it and crying. My child came home with one of the worst rashes he has ever had, red inflamed blotchy skin from front to back. Come to find out chatting with other parents this was a concern shared with their team. The teachers will allay your concerns and say no worries and they'll change the baby every hour, but there seems to be communication breakdowns between morning and afternoon staff. Our final straw was safe sleep and bottle propping. I shared concerns with the director of me directly observing my son being placed to sleep on his stomach and that a child had milk spilling down her face while bottle was propped as she was in a boppy pillow. Not much changed. Around the same time licensing came in and per their report (which is public!) the inspector observed 5 different infants put to sleep on their bellies. My impression became after this inspection my sons teacher blamed me for this inspection as she told another parent it was due to parent complaint, taking zero responsibility for the fact the entire infant team nearly was engaging in UNSAFE and DANGEROUS sleep practices. I understand mistakes. I do not understand team culture disregarding what major organizations and trainings provided state. Infants can die from that. It is beyond ridiculous to even behave in a passive aggressive fashion towards a parent for this concern but also to try to lie when the information is public. The pressure to grow and add more children is showing on these educators and caregivers. Slow down, sunrise. The care has gone from what years ago folks were thrilled about to turning into worse than a major daycare corp.
