we have loved amiguitos for our son and can't wait for our daughter to start. They are so patient and caring and have a high level curriculum for their students. My son is now fluent in spanish and is 4 yrs old. He recently told me all the sounds of the vowels and every week they teach new topics around healthy habits, professions, body parts, shapes, colors, family, animals, countries, etc...his emotional and social intelligence is also something I've been really impressed with. This has been such a wonderful school for our daughter! The curriculum is engaging for the kiddos, with new themes and activities every day. The staff and teachers are so kind and caring, and the teacher/student ratio is such that each child receives special attention. We appreciate the feedback and learning assessments. I absolutely love this school/daycare. My eldest attended since he was 2 yrs old, loved it, then went on to Elementary School. My youngest currently attends. She started there when she was 2.5 yrs old and is upset come the weekend because she wants to be there every day. We started her at 2 days a week and she continued to request she be taken "every single day." We fulfilled her wish and enrolled her full time. She now wants to spend the weekends at Amiguitos. Unfortunately, they are not open on the weekends. My daughter's motivation and demand to be at Amiguitos is confirmation I chose the right school for her. The staff are amazing, warm, welcoming and very attentive to the children. The Owner/Director, Ms. Mary knows what she's doing. When I interviewed her, I was incredibly impressed. I knew right away, she has the children's and her staff's interest at heart. Ms. Mary's philosophy is unlike any other, and I have had some awful experiences at other Spanish Immersion schools/childcares where they are in the business to make money and treat every family and child like another number. Not here! As a parent, it is crucial my children are well cared for, educated, learn a second language and they not only enjoy their school but look forward to returning. It's a small room divided by makeshift walls, I'm sure the teachers are wonderful, but that said, they told me I could place a deposit to hold her spot before I had even filled out any paperwork or had seen the school, which I did. But there wasn't a waiting list and it was not necessary for me to place the deposit, which I found out once I finally got to see the school and have a short tour. I decided not to send my daughter because the drive was just too far and the school was just too small. So, they tried to keep over $500 of my money, (the deposit) and I had to beg for it back and after quite a lot of phone calls they only returned half. No one told me it was nonrefundable and unnecessary, as they had no waiting list. read more

as a first time mom I was really nervous sending my little one to daycare, but I had to to be able to finish my graduate degree. I knew I wanted my baby to be in a Spanish environment and most importantly I wanted her to feel LOVED like only family would love her. I did a lot of research trying to find the best immersion daycare, but most of them were cold, hard to talk with administration, "big" with too many kids per teacher (kid/teacher radio) , and with high teacher turnover. they looked great on paper but was missing the "heart", the love. they clearly were a business. until I found Amiguitos. we have been with them for almost 3years, and teacher have never quit. If I need to talk with management or administration and even the owners, they are at school everyday and respond within hours, they love all the kids from all classes, teachers help each other, and is a true little family. they are patient, they put the kids safety first, they love them, and always try to do what's best for each child. Amiguitos is not a big facility, but that is not a bad thing, for the age of the kids that they care for, and their developmental stage, the size of the school is perfect, and most important it gives kids what they need most which is a comfortable and familiar/loving environment. babies don't need fancy facilities at that age. they need nurturing and to feel safe. Our family loves amiguitos, not to mention our kid is completely fluent in Spanish! read more

My son attended kindergarten this year! This school has it together! My son can read and write in Spanish and English! According to my Spanish speaking friends, his conversational Spanish is flawless with a native accent! If you look up: Texas Health and Human services and look at the childcare licensing on Texas preschools, you can see which schools do the best in compliance. We are extremely happy with Amiguitos and feel that the staff here and their families are an extension of our own. Our son has been attending preschool there for 2.5 years now and since enrolling him at A.S.I.A. he has become very fluent in Spanish (he's now 4 years old). My baby loves this place as much as I do. She began school here at age 4 months and was showered with love and affection from her AMAZING caretakers. Her face lights up with joy when she arrives and with the care, love, affection and guidance of the team at this school, my baby has grown to become a smiling, loving, laughing, spanish-speaking amiguita. My son has been attending Amiguitos for just over a year now. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this school and could not be happier with my decision to send him here. Of course my first priority in choosing a preschool was my child's safety and well-being. After viewing the facility and discussing safety protocols, I decided that I could begin considering this choice. Initially, what set Amiguitos apart from the other preschools I toured was the warm, cozy environment. This was the first time I was sending my then two-year-old off to school. I felt like the familiar and nurturing home setting was a more natural transition. I wanted my son to feel loved and like he was with family. And that is exactly the enviornment and vibe that Mary has created. All teachers are warm, genuine and affection, greeting my son, and even me, with hugs. As a former teacher, curriculum and instruction are very important to me. I believe young children learn best through play. Mary is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and uses best practices in her play-based model to create well-rounded kids while preparing them for kindergarten. I am just in AWE whenever I walk into the school. You will find class pets, a beautiful backyard filled with playground equipment, puppets, costumes for pretend play, beautiful artwork hanging, insects that they have collected (safely and gently) for observation...I could go on and on! My wife and I could not be happier with this school. We had our son in a more commercial daycare for a couple of months and he was not napping well at all. It is a small wonder considering he was in a very bright, very noisy room while trying to nap. At Amiguitos he gets to nap in a very quiet room and that has made a huge difference in his attitude and his ability to rest well at night. My daughter went here for a while after we had bad experiences at La Petite. I love them so much and was so sad to be taking my daughter out of their program. Before she started here she would scream non stop anytime I dropped her off at her old daycare because of how poorly they treated her. When I started her here Mary was very reassuring and acknowledged my fears with the last daycare. After the first two days I could tell my daughter loved them!!! My child has attended this school for about 8months and we, the parents, absolutely are happy. There is a family feel of how the school is conducted and each and every teacher is involved with each child from what I can see. The owner, Mary, is very communicative and sends out frequent emails with lesson plans with invitations to further parental communication. I personally like that Mary's mother, "Abuela" aka Grandma, is also involved with the school and that really adds to the family feel of the school. My 3 year old LOVES going to school. In fact, I have to drag him out of there each day at closing. We started the preschool program at Amiguitos several months ago, and it has been great.
