HORRIBLE BUSINESS! I am submitting this review on behalf of a friend who is a very, nice and kind…read moreperson and didn't want to cause anyone any trouble but the public needs to know about places like this. The fact is my friend brought a men's dress shirt to Peter Rapid for alterations- shortening the sleeves, taking it in some and shortening at the bottom. He was charged a whopping $100 for this service! He could have purchased a really nice new dress shirt for much less. At first she was going to charge extra for cleaning it but then at the last minute agreed to include cleaning. This is disgraceful that a business would take advantage of a person this way, especially in this economy where we are all just barely keeping our heads above water. NEVER NEVER NEVER give this place your business! They will rip you off!!

I am from a big city and never in my life have had a dry cleaners pick through my clothes the way…read morethese people did. In Los Angeles I would bring my articles to the cleaners and they would say, "OK see you tomorrow!" No so here. I brought theses people a few silk shirts and a quilt. They picked through and examined the shirts meticulously, explaining why each one was either "already water damaged" or would need "special pressing" and thus my shirts would cost almost $15 a pop to clean. My friend brought a shirt in last year and after they cleaned it they told him never ot come again because the shirt was "too dirty". The quilt they refused to take because it "had too much cat hair" on it and it might break their machine. Really? Do these people want business or what? Do people bring them clothes that are already clean? These people live in a dream world.

As a (very busy) doctoral student, I RARELY write reviews. However, I had such a strong reaction to…read morethe customer service here that I could not help but take precious time away from my dissertation and job applications to write this. I interacted with this business owner on three occasions. Without going into detail, I walked out of the establishment on each occasion feeling dismissed, and with a bad taste in my mouth. After spending $150 at this business, I have decided to use a dry cleaner 15 mins out of the way so as to no longer support this business. As a New Yorker and Californian, I am quite shocked that this type of customer service is tolerated. Spare yourself the disappointment, and use a different dry cleaning service!

I used this cleaning service on the recommendation of a relative. I had 2 comforters cleaned…read more(Queen and King). It was expensive at $40.00 each but I needed them done quickly. I picked both up about a week or so after due date. One was extremely wrinkled which I wasn't expecting at that price point nor from a professional service. Of course, the fabric and late pick up may have contributed but I've had the same comforter cleaned before at half the price without wrinkles. Not sure what happened this time around and will seek other options in the future.

I hate to write negative reviews but I was very disappointed. I had a kilt with a broken buckle…read morethat needed to be resized and a leather jacket with a small tear. I chose to come here because they can work with leather. The tailor said there wasn't anything she could do about the kilt and brushed off my request for an inside pocket on the jacket. I drop off the jacket to be repaired. Two week and twenty bucks later I come back for the jacket. Instead of being patched, the tear is messily stitched. There's so much stitching I can feel it through the sleeve. She said she didn't have any material, not even a square inch of black leather that would have done the job. I ended up taking the kilt to another tailor who did a great job in half the time and for less than the quoted price. I'm thinking of taking her the jacket, getting the amateurish stitching ripped out and redone properly. I don't want to speak ill of the hardworking people who run this place. But I'm afraid I would be back do to poor customer service and craftsmanship.

I should have read the reviews before using Park Cleaners! At pickup, no strap loops and instead of tacking the folds they took the dress in so it was way too small and couldn't zip up! When I called back to say we had been able to fix it and correct the problems they caused, and only wanted the refund of $65 and not for them to oay for a new dress which would have been $200 or more, the owner refused! I thought she would be pleased we were choosing the lower amount! DON'T TRUST THEIR WORK.
