Stella's is definitely an interesting spot!…read more I came here for a quick tea or coffee depending what they had. It's a relatively small spot nestled away in a strip mall by big stores like Ross, Binny's, Rich's Fresh Market, Walgreens, and more (easy parking in front). The place is bigger inside than it looked like from the outside! It was so nice and quiet during the time I was there and I saw someone even working on his laptop (only person in the place). That's something I'd totally do here. This is like a hybrid cafe and slot machine place. In the front half there's a cafe and tables, and in the back half there's slot machines and games. They also serve alcohol. The only weird thing is they couldn't make anything on their menu. They had breakfast and lunch items but the employee said they couldn't make it. I don't know if it was because of the time, but that wouldn't make sense to me because it was during lunch time when I was there (around 11:20am). I also wanna say the employee was SO SWEET; she was great to talk to, helpful, and truly very personable. It's obviously out of her control what the rules/standards are. I just thought it was weird they advertise a breakfast/lunch menu online and in their store but don't have any of it. I ended up getting 2 teas, one for me and one to take back for my sister and it was just hot water with Tazo tea bags. The employee was telling me this is usually a place for gambling games and drinking, so maybe that's why they weren't making food items. I'm not sure if I'd return since I'm not much of a gambler, but I could see myself coming back and working in their cafe area in the front during the day!

Two stars for the staff and service. But the food is very disappointing!…read more Saw Mexican Skillet on the menu - both my daughter-in-law and self ordered it. Not their fault but I didn't hv my glasses on and couldnt see that they added HONEY (lots of it) to a Mexican skillet. Aside from that they approx 10 potato cubes in this skillet were swimming in this honey, soggy and with a lot of green pepper, corn and just "blech"! Took one bite and asked if I cld try something else. Staff was kind and allowed me to order what I thought wld be quick, easy and tasty - corned beef hash with eggs over easy hash browns. What i got, youll see in the photo below along with the corned beef hash I made this morning (sorry, I broke the yoke before I took the pic). It literally turned my stomach to see that mess on my plate. I got physically nauseous and left the table to make sure I didn't get sick at this birthday brunch. Other food items seem to be ok, my daughter-in-law ate her Mexican mess without complaint, thats cuz she's a little angel. Personally I love the atmosphere of the place, reminds me of an old 80's sorta upscale diner. But do NOT order the corned beef hash!

I really hate any American breakfast and it is not because I am a vegan. Every American breakfast place is basically like 3 options - eggs and potatoes, pancakes/waffles/French toast etc. I find it very hard to believe that nobody might prefer a pizza, chicken nuggets a burger etc. Not everybody in the US has to want the same exact thing for breakfast every day and no other place is open in the morning. My American husband loves going out for breakfast and judges a place by it's Eggs Benedict. He said the ones that they serve are not bad but he would never return here, which he rarely says about American breakfast places.
