Cookies and cream and salted caramel cup so delicious
    Jason S.

Another great location and absolutely love their ice cream....this was the 1st time at this location. Inside was very clean and staff was very nice. I was so full from dinner but the family wanted to get ice cream. The nice thing about ice cream is it just fills in the cracks. They have mugs if great choices but I always go back my go to. The mint chip is so good and really hit the spot.

Vegan ice cream. Really. It is good? Hell yes it is good. I've been vegan for about six years. I've tried a lot of store bought vegan ice cream. The best until Stella's was the Ben and Jerry's with the sunflower butter. So creamy and delicious But Stella's blows the door off of Ben and Jerry's That Chocolate Oreo is pure nirvana. So damn good. Since I am vegan and I don't consume a lot of sugar and sweets, one scoop was enough to last me a month even though I probably wouldn't mind an IV drip if it was made available. Seriously. I know they're known for their other ice creams but that Chocolate Oreo was freaking amazing. Stella's has a location in Boise and one in Eagle. Check them out. By the way, my wife's milkshake was really good and she's a tough cookie to please.

Randomly walked by and decided to try this place out. The staff were really nice and let my family and I sample all the flavors we wanted. The ice cream was really creamy and not overly sweet. All the flavors we got were all great

Stella's Ice Cream is a fantastic spot for some great local Ice Cream, and definitely one of the best creameries in the area. I've visited this location a couple of times and they've never disappointed. Order Pictured: 1 Salted Caramel Brownie Sundae I'm partial to their brownie sundaes (pictured below), and while their brownies were a bit tough the ice cream helps to soften it up a bit and overall provides a cream experience. I'm usually not a huge fan of caramel ice creams as they tend to be a bit too powerful, but Stella's salted caramel ice cream does great at providing a balanced experience where the base cream can still shine. In addition, I've had their horchata ice cream in the past and it was one of the best desserts I've ever had, offering a really rich experience that is unparalleled by any other location in the area. If you want good ice cream, Stella's is definitely the place to go!

What?!?! How did I not know they have gluten free waffle cones?!?! Oh yeah! I had red velvet gf cone w/praline & mint ice cream too... help was wonderful & my guest raved & raved about the super fresh strawberry ice cream... (& she's an ice cream-aholic so her raving is big deal!) in addition to multi gluten free waffle cone options... vegan options r avail too, so allergy friendly

Stella's has great ice cream and I'm glad they opened this Eagle shop to go with their original location in Nampa. While the STIL gets a lot of well-deserved notoriety, I enjoy Stella's more. I just think they produce better ice cream. It's creamy and flavorful.

Cookie Dough on a strawberry waffle cone

On a very cold and snowy January night, I found myself at Stella's getting ice cream. It was cold. I was cold. It was creamy. I was happy. Full disclosure...I don't love ice cream. Usually I eat about half of what is on my cone, then scrape it off and just eat the cone. That being said, I liked Stella's ice cream. It was really creamy, but not so rich that I felt sick after a few bites. I had the cookie dough. I liked that the cookie dough pieces were still soft. I hate when the cookie dough gets hard and you break your teeth trying to bite through. My sister got the Cookies n Cream, which definitely tasted like the flavor, but was missing big chunks of cookies. The flavor actually intensified after you swallow. For me, the best thing about Stella's was the waffle cones. I really should just order a cone next time. They have all sorts of fun flavors. They had mint, strawberry, red velvet, and espresso. They were all really good, but my favorite was the strawberry. It was really packed with strawberry flavor and was the loveliest shade of pink! My sister got her ice cream on top of a brownie. It was HUGE and tasted pretty good, but was a real bummer to eat with her plastic spoon. The brownie was a bit tough, plus the coldness of the ice cream toughened it even further. The young lady who helped us was efficient and answered our questions, but was a bit on the grumpier side. Not sure she even smiled at us? Lastly, I would strongly suggest that they label their ice cream and add descriptions! We had no idea what contents laid inside some of the options (for example, would you have guessed that Blue Moon was blue raspberry? All I could think of was beer! :) )

Stella's Ice Cream in Eagle, Idaho.

My take on the Stella's Ice Cream in Eagle is similar but not quite as good as my take on the Stella's in Nampa. I wanted a brownie sundae, but deciphering the pricing wasn't easy. And the girl that was assisting us didn't really know either. There is a price for scoops and then a price for sundae and then a price for a brownie and a price for toppings (is that 1 or more or ... ?). So, adding it all up we figured $13.50. Yikes - I thought that was excessive for a 3-scoop sundae and asked the girl to double-check my math and she agreed. And I said it out loud "so, a 3-scoop sundae is $13.50??" And she said "YES, wellll, let me ask ... " and then came back with $6.50? Triple scoop plus a brownie and toppings? I don't even know .... but that's what we got. And I can live with that price. :) The brownie part was no bueno though. It tasted bitter, maybe even burnt (it was really dark)? And it was so hard. She even heated it to soften it while I was deciding on flavors. It didn't seem warm, and then when the ice cream went on top, there was no melting and softening of that brownie. It was hard, bitter, and not good. I couldn't even cut pieces off it with those flimsy spoons. I just ate the ice cream, and the brownie went to waste. For the size of the sundae, I felt the toppings (hot fudge and nuts) were a little skimpy. And like their Nampa location there are no names to go along with the flavors. They are up on the wall though, and if you want to try something (which I did), just ask. I tried the lemon something and it was not good at all ... which is why you try before you buy. :) The ice cream is hard, and you taste more ice than cream, it's just not very creamy and it stays hard way too long ... and my strawberry wasn't very strawberryeeee. All that being said, if I were in the area and wanted some ice cream, I'd give them another shot .... but maybe stick to ice cream on a cone.

I crossed the intersection from Pig Latin and was there in less than a minute. Pulling up, the shop had a bunch of seating outside. I adore the picnic tables with the big umbrellas. I can imagine having a nice scoop of ice cream, sitting under the big umbrellas and enjoying the vibe. Walking into the shop, it's very bright and simple. Bright white walls, simple shelves with merch and goodies for sale. A very classic and clean venue. I love the big black and white menu boards. I appreciate when a venue can be beautifully classic. I stopped in for coffee today. Ice cream will have to be another adventure here. I ordered my usual drink today. An iced americano with sugar free vanilla and room for cream. I feel like it's a good basic drink to get at every coffee joint to be a baseline of how they make their coffee. I wanted a 12oz but 16oz is how they serve their small iced beverages so I went with it. The sweet gal got my drink started and I checked out the merch. I love the all mugs available. I have too many mugs at home. There was a cute white mug with little red hearts all over it! My husband would not be happy if I brought home another mug but man it was so tempting. There were unique bottled sodas and packaged ice cream that you can take with you. The root beer is a must try next time too besides the ice cream. The bottle makes me feel like that for beer is going to be out of this world good. My coffee was ready and I headed out to one of the picnic tables outside to chill at and enjoy my drink. September weather was perfect today. sunny and not too hot. Well, I really wanted to enjoy my drink. Unfortunately, it was really watered down. The drink itself was very light and opaque. From the flavoring of the espresso and vanilla, it was hardly there. There was no richness of the half and half, no bitterness of the espresso. It was quite a disappointing drink. I tried to drink a much as I could but I couldn't drink any more of it. I drank about a fourth of it. I don't know if the gal working needs a little more training on the espresso machine and how drinks are made but it wouldn't be a bad idea since this joint promotes itself as a coffee shop. The shop itself is great! The reviews on the ice cream are all the same, delicious. But the few coffee reviews are on the same page as me, disappointing. I'm happy I got to mark this cute spot off my to go list today. I do look forward to coming back for ice cream and bottled root beer.

Sweeeet! The new, and third, location opened yesterday. The best ice cream and friendliest…read moreservice is now available at this still evolving (as example, they are creating a party room here) location that is so much closer to my home that it is going to be much easier for me to enjoy Lovejoy's ice cream much more often. HOORAY FOR AMPLE PARKING AND SPACIOUS INTERIOR: If you've been to the Lovejoy's Mothership in Meridian (hand raised) or the second in Bown Crossing in Boise then you know how wonderful is the ice cream for ever changing options of fantastic flavors and texture and the always friendly service but you also know how challenging it is for parking at either of those locations. The strip mall location here has ample parking. And the interior space, while still a work in progress of just opening, is light and bright with lots of windows and tables with chairs to sit at unless you want to take your ice cream with you. FAB FLAVORS: They aren't quite fully stocked here, given the just opened status, but I was so happy to be able to go in for my birthday (calories do not apply to waistlines on birthdays) for Key Lime Pie ice cream and my hubby loved the Strawberry Chevre that was his choice. It has been my goal to work my way through every flavor offered by Lovejoy and with this store closer to home and easier to access, I think the pace of progress towards my goal will be increased. In this store, like the other two, the flavors are posted on the wall behind the counter in a sort of honeycomb design that is ordered from Fruity to Creamy to Nutty to Chocolaty across the top and as much as four cells deep from top, Young at Heart, to bottom, Mature Palate. They have a page on their site where that has the flavors at the Meridian location and Bown location each day, they are different at each one, and I think they will add this Fairview / Five Mile location to it too. https://www.lovejoysicecream.com/flavors OFFERINGS (AND A SECRET): Cups of various sizes and cones are available here now. Like the other two stores, there are pre-packed grab and go pints in a freezer right inside the door. (SECRET: If you promise to keep this just between us, I will admit that at home I sometimes wrap a towel around a pint, to keep my hand from getting to cold, grab a spoon and sit down to watch something on Netflix and eat the entire pint in one go.) They will also offer milkshakes and panini at this store, like the others, but aren't set up for those just yet. FRIENDLY SERVICE: Good descriptions of the flavors are provided on the display board but the super friendly counter staff will happily offer samples of any flavors you would like to try. ACCESSIBILITY: Two accessible parking spaces, one van accessible, are right outside at the side of the restaurant. All on one floor, standard height table seating, two accessible uni-loo too. TRULY THE BEST: I'm not given to absolutes, but Lovejoy's is absolutely the best I've ever had. Ice cream has been my favorite dessert, and maybe my fav food of all, since forever and as an adult I have eaten every premium ice cream within my reach in every place I have lived or traveled and I can't think of a single offering in Treasure Valley (and I've eaten them all) or elsewhere, including Salt & Straw in Portland, that is better. Well, S&S might be tied with Lovejoy's for first place for quality but in truth, some of S&S flavor combos as just strange. ;-) HONEY TOO: The owners have an apiary and their honey is sometimes available in jars to buy at the shops, including here. Don't miss the Honeycomb ice cream flavor when it is available.
