Inside out: parking here can be an absolute nightmare. I'm not going to admit that. There is typically a lot across the street that can be open for parking, but I am not sure about the future of that as it was closed recently. They only have a few spots behind the building and those fill up in a blink. Service: never had a bad experience. Fast and friendly! Food: my husband and I have cycled through a wide variety of their flavors and I don't think I've ever had a bad one. Every single one is incredibly creamy and delicious. I haven't tried many of their alcoholic flavored ones to be honest, but the lemon flavors are always great, he gets Marky Mark and the crunchy Bunch and that is incredible. I enjoy their lavender berry with a scoop of the lemon, both excellent together. My grandma always gets any of the chocolate flavors and she just says it's some of the best ice cream she's ever had and she's 93! Overall, this is a great place to hang out, they have a wonderful place to sit outside and you can walk over to the cemetery and enjoy your ice cream while you look at the old interesting stones! read more

In search of some dessert while visiting Boise, stumbled upon The Stil. It was the cutest shop with a good amount space and seating inside and outside seating. It was busy, but they moved fast. I was very intrigued by their booze ice cream. They even let you sample it! I ended up trying the two booze flavors. Ended up with a tequila daiquiri. Very refreshing. read more

This was such a cute ice cream shop! The service was great and there was a huge variety of flavors too. My favorite was the berry sorbet. read more

The Stil - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Boise, Idaho

This is my second time visiting Boise and coming to The Stil with my family. I've been very impressed by the concoction of flavors from the stracciatella, the Marky Mark and the Funky Crunch, pumpkin, and halva chocolate coffee. I don't recall all of the flavors but the dairy and the cream flavor really stand out for quality and consistency. I love ice cream in which you can really taste the flavor profiles of the dairy and it doesn't have to be masked by too much sugar. I also applaud the owner that is bringing so much creativity. My whole family enjoys the craftsmanship of your ice cream. It's a nice consistency, never overly sweet, and perfectly balanced giving nostalgia of a mix of old fashioned style technique and modern technique without seeming trendy. I live in Seattle and this balance is really hard to find. Customer service is exceptional and the staff add hard working. I wax appreciative of the front counter staff that took the order of my 6 family members all the while navigating cones and babies, and the other staff helped light the fire pit. Thank you! I'll definitely be back. and have tried Molly Moons, Full Tilth (no longer open), Frank and Joe's and many other local ice cream shops. By far, I enjoy The Stil for its craftsmanship read more

If you love ice cream you must go here. When you walk up to this cute little spot, you immediately smell the waffle cones and the goodness and you know everything is going to be delightful. The amazing and super friendly staff greet you with a smile and let you taste literally anything you want which is so nice and they also give great suggestions. There are so many flavors, many of which are gluten free and they even have vegan options. And for those who are looking for a little boozy kick they have something for you too. I cannot recommend this place enough. I loved it so much. I'm going back today. read more

Hard to decide! Such fun flavors and boozy ones to boot. So smart with micro servings and even flights! Excellent ice cream.

Amazing ice cream. I had the Expresso and Caramel and I honestly believe it is the best ice cream ever. The Stil was pleasant, friendly and very nice inside. It had a lot to offer (even cocktail ice creams). Make sure and treat yourself. Great place!!!! read more

The Stil - Just some of the offerings. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Boise, Idaho

My favorite ice cream shop in Boise. They have a fun array of flavors and serve beer which is fun to pair with the different ice cream flavors. My favorite is the marky mark and the crunch bunch paired with a Cali Creamin. The service and ambiance is great. They have indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Best ice cream spot in Boise! My friends and I shared a flight (four different ice creams pairs with four different beer/wine). The gal working was super patient and helpful as we were very indecisive in picking our flavors. After letting us taste test and pick different ice cream flavors, she helped finding good beer and wine to go with the ice cream. She did such a good job because pairings were delicious! Their boozy ice creams are great and definitely worth trying. I personally was a huge fan of the berry cobbler paired with an ale. Highly recommend coming here and getting the flight! read more

The Stil - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Boise, Idaho

What so refreshing on a hot day? The lake, the river, pool time....yes all great things and so is boozy ice cream! We came here after eating at Wyld Child which I also would highly recommend on a hot summer day. The inside was nice and cooled down with AC so that was refreshing. Now they do have other options but if I can get alcohol infused ice cream you know I am going to try. With flavors like: "Ed & Carl Take Reno" - Honey Bourbon (GF) "Somewhere in Mexico" - Tequila Lime Margarita Sorbet (V & GF) * "Nightcap on Eckert" - Kahlua, Espresso, Chocolate Cake, & Heath Pieces * "Field of Dreams" - Butterscotch, Beer, & Cracker Jacks * "Caught in the Rain" - Coconut Rum Cashew (V & GF) * Plus another option is to get wine or beer pairing with any ice cream. We have done this a bunch of times especially when friends and family come to visit. Such a great concept. Employees were super friendly and we're working hard at decreasing the line out the door while we were there. Lucky for us we found a table inside but if not there is tons of seating outside in the shared space they have with 2 other establishments. For sure out this place on a list and get to while you are in the Boise area. read more

Love this place! Unique flavors and combinations. I got the pistachio honey. The flavor was perfect and the Ice cream is extremely creamy and smooth. A small is all you need. It's the perfect treat spot. read more

I loved everything about this spot. The booze, the ice cream the outdoor seating-- all. of. it. We ordered a flight of beer and ice cream. And shared everything. We did let our toddler try the ice creams (obvi non alcoholic). She is a simple ice cream gal and didn't quite love it but she did eat it. :) My fave ice cream flavors were le blod and bake sale! My husband liked the ice cream with bourbon in it! read more

Possibly the best ice cream I've ever had! I can't believe I've waited to so long to try The Stil. We ordered "a flight" that came with 8 different flavors and it was so fun to be able to try a variety of different flavors. My favorite flavors were: chocolate therapy, brownie batter, bake sale, and marky mark! Will definitely be returning. read more

I have been going to the stil for years, and it disappoints me to write this. Their ice cream is the best in the valley, as overpriced as it is. The value is there if you want to support local and have interesting flavor combinations. That's where it stops being good from my experience. 2/3 of my last visits have involved me either being evangelized to, or been roped into religious conversation with the people hanging out in the store. Tonight I walked in, and immediately the corner table starts talking about how heavily tattooed people are sinners and they start quoting bible verses around me, the heavily tattooed person that just walked in. I asked the girl behind the counter, "do you always have customers hang out that are rude to other customers?" And she replied, "I'm Christian so it doesn't bother me." You have permanently lost me as a customer. read more

I love this location. It's got something for everyone so you cannot go wrong. The ice cream flavors are unique.

The ice cream is decent but the portions are wildly inconsistent and flavors don't fully match the listed description. I went with friends and we all bought single scoops of ice cream. Each scoop was a completely different size with some at least 30% smaller than others. You would get a better deal buying their pints from local grocery stores that carry them. read more

The Stil is a favorite ever since it opened downtown. This location is even better just because they have lots of seating outdoors to sit and enjoy your ice cream. The Stil always has really unique flavors, vegan and gluten free. There's something for everyone. Employees are always friendly and you can't beat this location! read more

The ice cream here is so good! It's so creamy and rich. I absolutely loved my one scoop of ice cream when I came in. My whole family loved it actually. My 5 year old took one lick of her scoop on a cone and it rolled right off onto the floor. The women working were nice enough to replace it without charging us more. It was very kind. We can't wait to visit again! read more

They got ice cream all right. All your dreams can come true here. The creaminess of the ice cream is undeniable. The wild concepts of ice cream they have is off the charts. They give samples so don't worry, you won't miss out to try flavors. This place gets a stamp of approval. read more

The STIL offers some of the best ice cream ever. And they have pairing and adult-only ice cream.

Either The STIL has changed their policy about serving sizes and employees wearing masks indoors or the lady working today is an incredibly self-centered, irresponsible a-hole. Every time we've been to The STIL downtown during the covid pandemic, the employees are always wearing masks. Today (Sunday afternoon, 9/12/21) we went to the Latah store for the first time and the sole employee did have a mask on. Beyond the mask issue, her attitude and work ethic were worthless. She served scoops of ice cream that were tiny in comparison to the ones served at the downtown store every single one of the dozens of times we've been there. We politely expressed our confusion over the scoops and she rudely and flatly claimed that the size was correct, then proceeded to charge us double prices for single scoops. If we ever see this employee working at this store again, we will not get ice cream there. If we ever see STIL employees not wearing masks, in violation of CDC guidelines, during a deadly pandemic when every ICU in Idaho is full of covid patients, we will never return to any STIL store. read more

It was a hot day so the line was out the door. We loved trying all the different flavors, my favorite was the brownie batter. If you are into ice cream and have a friend or two to share with the flight is awesome and allows you to try 8 flavors. read more

I like to bring my son here for ice cream when it's nice out. They have a nice seating area shared with the other businesses with fire pits, tables & chairs, and some lawn games. Fun concept, great atmosphere. We were thrilled to have exciting vegan flavors and they did not disappoint.

Having finally had an opportunity to taste the ice cream I purchased... it IS truly amazing however, my review of the staff still stands ‍ let's be honest... I had, at least $60 to burn and would have loved to spend it here. A simple option to taste other flavors or at least, to be appreciated (when we waited for the staff to open late) would have been a huge thing. I'll try STIL again, just not this one‍ read more

I would consider myself an ice cream aficionado. Every time we travel with our family, we look for dessert places we can try out after dinners out. Boise area has a few good ice cream places and we tried them out. The STIL(not sure the origin of the name but whatever) was by far the best; and to be honest, this is perhaps the best ice cream I've had in the US, and we've had a lot. We ended up getting ice cream here 4 out of the 5 days we were here. That's how delicious it is. We would HIGHLY recommend trying this out, I do not think you'll be disappointed. Amazing stuff, great service, and this location has a great little area for kids and dogs to play while they relax read more

Well in contrast to the negative Nancy who was the first to review this STIL location, I really enjoy coming to this location. I love the outdoor seating with the fire pits and picnic tables. The outdoor seating area is one of the best features and is a great place to enjoy some yummy ice cream. Plus, the outdoor area is very dog-friendly. I am really loving the fall flavors right now (except the apple one, a bit too overpowering for my tastes). So ignore the only negative review from an overly disgruntled customer and come enjoy some ice cream at this location! I've been back at least three times this past month and will be back again! Thanks to the STIL for creating such a lovely space to enjoy ice cream and the company of others! read more
