I couldn't find anything to fit into my hectic schedule, so I simply picked a class that fit into my schedule that weekend. I was really nervous when I showed up. I REALLY lucked out. Stephen was great. I was dreading an all day class of stuffy and boring material. I wasn't bored and was engaged the whole entire time. I learned a great deal and the class was excellent. Highly recommended. His teaching methods really got the material to stick in my head (which is hard for me usually). I also enjoyed side conversations about the subject matter during the breaks. He also really got me thinking about things i've never thought about before. I have a great deal of homework, planning, and further education I need to work on! While filling out the required paperwork for the LTC, I found out you could take classroom portion online! There were quite a few options available, so I looked for a local Austin (well, Leander) based business to support. I signed up for the LTC Austin online course to keep myself busy during the current Stay-at-Home order. The courses were thorough and easy to navigate. I really appreciated being able to do it on my own time, rather than sitting in a classroom for 5 hours like I had to do in Florida. It was a great refresher for a lot of basics and coming from another state, I found the coverage of Texas specific laws incredibly valuable, having seen many of the signs posted around town already. They have a partnership with Shady Oaks Gun Range in Cedar Park that I plan on scheduling my LTC Proficiency Demonstration with as soon as they are able to start booking them again.

They've been able to excel and had more 1-on-1 help. Class sizes are smaller than regular public school classes. They definitely care about the kids. They want all the kids to succeed and push them to their academic limits. They have helped my guys get to where they are now and have been absolutely wonderful. There has been changes but I can see they have a clear vision for where the school is going. It's been great getting to know everyone here, I volunteer at least one day a week and my husband's helping set up Watch DOGS we are certain that this is a great place for my children to learn and grow. The size of the school is wonderful, small one on one environment lends itself to close attention and real caring.
