Someone called me pretending to be GEICO and claimed they were adding my son to my insurance policy and explaining the premium increase. This person knew every detail of what had happened at the dealership, including my son's information, my insurance details, and my home address. The scammer was able to withdraw $548 from my bank account. Given how much confidential information they had, it strongly suggests that someone with insider access may have been involved. Unfortunately, my son was later in an accident, and the vehicle was declared a total loss. Thankfully, I purchased GAP coverage and an extended warranty. The accident occurred in early March, and it is now May. The dealership still has not completed its part of the process to apply the GAP and extended warranty funds toward the remaining loan balance. I have spoken with the warranty company, and they confirmed that they sent the necessary funds to the dealership back in March. Despite leaving multiple messages for both the finance department and management at the Nutley location, I have received no response. As a result, there is still an outstanding balance on the loan that should have been resolved months ago. I strongly urge anyone considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership to proceed with caution. My experience has been extremely frustrating and concerning.

After deciding to buy the car, Juan had me wait in a back office for Chris in finance to see me. I understand that is a game you play. Thats fine. What I was unprepared for was the transphobic comments about another customer that I overheard from your staff. It was rude to the other customer and offensive to me. And just plain mean spirited. At a Subaru dealership of all places. Honestly, I should have known then that I didn't want to do business with you. 2. Both Juan Rios and Chris Colino went on at some length, unprovoked, about how their mechanic went over my car thoroughly and what wonderful shape it was in. After buying the car, I immediately made an appointment for a full inspection at my local BMW service center. The steering rack was visibly and obviously cracked. The steering rack and rear camber link arm needed to be replaced at a cost of over $8000. In the video from the service center, it so obviously clear that something is broken that I have to wonder if Chris and Juan are liars or if the mechanic is blind. 3. When buying the car, Chris convinced me to get the service contract "in case something is wrong," assuring me that I can cancel with ease within 30 days for a full refund. When I called about the steering rack issue, he suggested that I lie and say it is a new problem to get the service contract to cover it. 4. When I tried to cancel the service contract, Chris was suddenly nowhere to be found. He didn't answer emails or phone calls or even a registered letter. On day 28, he finally sent me the paperwork in order to cancel. 5. I was refunded part of my money for the canceled service contract but not the full purchase price of the contract as promised. When I emailed Chris about it, he promised to look into it and I haven't heard from him since despite follow-up emails that include the dates of all correspondence to show that I did have the paperwork in within the 30 days. 6. Juan did not bother to put in the paperwork for my tags until after the temporary tags had expired, despite an email assuring me that Delaware DMV had my paperwork and we were waiting on them. I am thoroughly disgusted with every aspect of buying a car at Lynne's. Bigoted, dishonest, and a complete lack of integrity make it the worst car buying experience I've had in 40 years.

Even after moving away, we would often make the trip back just to have them inspect our car because we knew they would give us honest advice. A while back, a chain oil change shop told us we needed new brake pads. We came here for a second opinion, and they explained that the rust we were seeing was normal and would wear off with regular local driving. They were right. A year later, another shop again tried to sell us brake pads during an oil change. We immediately brought the car here, and after a thorough inspection, they told us the brakes still had about 2,000 miles left. That level of honesty is rare. Instead of recommending unnecessary repairs, they only suggest work that actually needs to be done. Their prices are fair, their workmanship is excellent, and most importantly, they genuinely care about their customers. If you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic, you can bring your car here with confidence. In an industry where it's hard to know who to trust, this shop has consistently proven that honesty still exists:)
