Local Staten island water hole with a small town vibe. Bartender was extremely laid back and also advised of other nice spots in the area. Apple ciders are A MUST! They have several week night events so I will be back for sure

Yummy wings, great happy hour. Deena is a great host. Everything a neighbor pub should be.

Great local brew and Andrew in the background

The wings are amazing and the owner Andrew is a pleasure to talk with and gives the best advice. A must visit in Staten Island

Dive bar vibes.

Steiny's is a dive bar in a cute area on Staten Island. It's literally a 5 minute walk from the ferry. The natives are uber friendly & my first time there I got a drink on Neil. He's a regular at the watering hole. It's on a slight hill, but nothing tedious. Quaint with seating at the bar & table top lined with mirrors on the side, as well as old school circular seating in the front. The bartender is friendly & drinks are dive, but you really can't go wrong with alcohol. Rather you're having a beer or simple mixed drink you're good. I like this place & will most definitely visit again. If you're looking for uncomplicated & laid back, come thru. It's all community at this spot & I love it!

This was the perfect place to go after our ferry ride to Staten Island. Super friendly staff and were very accommodating to our group and friend with sever peanut allergy(picture attached has white bread instead of a sesame bun). Food tasted amazing, by far the best French toast I have ever had.

Went here recently on a Friday night to pre-game before a show at the St.George theater next door. I really liked this place...cool dive atmosphere with a great internet jukebox. It was crowded but we still got seats at the bar. Ordered pierogis and mozzarella sticks both were good and pretty cheap. Drink prices were cheap. The owner was there and thanked us for coming which was a really cool touch I liked. The bartenders even bought back with the owner there which means Steinys knows how to run a real bar. Walking distance (one block) from ferry Apparently the women's restroom was gorgeous. The men's restroom.....not so much lol

Big booth by the window otherwise - bar seating only

We ordered the Forest Ave roast beef sandwich and the fried shrimp appetizer with bang bang sauce. The shrimp had a nice crunch, and the bang bang sauce was good, but its flavor was a bit mild and plain; some garnish like chives can definitely elevate this appetizer further! Our sandwich unfortunately came without the bacon jam and maple bourbon, which meant it was just roast beef double dunked with Gruyère cheese. Unfortunately we didn't realize it until near the end, and although our waitress apologized and brought us a side of the bacon jam, by then we only had a quarter of it left which was a bummer. The roast beef was perfectly cooked and the gravy was rich and deliciously beefy, but the extra Au jus was a bit pricy for how little it was, where it came in the same small plastic sauce container instead of a small bowl/ceramic. I'm sure this doesn't happen often that half the sandwich ingredients were left out, so I guess we were just unlucky we didn't realize sooner, but it nonetheless detracted from our experience and we were charged the full price for the meal. Overall The Point Tavern has a lot of potential of being amazing and serve probably the best roast beef in all of Staten Island; I really wish them the best with their varied roast beef selections! Please give them a try and just check your sandwich before digging into it! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

What's the secret at the Point Tavern in Staten Island? They keep things simple! This review is based on my visit this past Saturday Evening - 21 June 2025. Bartender Mike is a true Mensch, if that's even possible, in a place like Staten Island, but he was truly a gem and kept the drinks flowing. This is truly a neighborhood watering hole that is frequented by many, including some friendly and beautiful teachers from the local school across the way. You are struck with an immediate vibe of friendliness and happiness, and visitors to the Point Tavern are truly treated like family. My great friend, "Uncle Anthony," and I enjoyed ourselves sitting and relaxing at the bar. There was a wide selection of draft beers on tap, and the mixed drinks were delicious. Confession: I made the "Shlep" to investigate this "Suspicious" Roast Beef Sandwich. My suspicions were confirmed--amazing, Juicy, Tender, and savory. Sandwiches are made to order and tailored to the customer's likely preferences. The kitchen got it right on the first shot and got me my "Kosher" Roast Beef Sandwich. Trust me, its worth the visit. A+

Killmeyer's Old Bavarian Inn is the sole remaining German kitchen on Staten Island, originating in…read morethe 1850s and owned for the past 30 years by the Tirado family. My roots to S.I. don't go back that far, but my grandparents are buried there in an old overgrown Jewish cemetery nearby. The atmosphere is all dark wood and black metal ceilings. The decor approaches medieval. So, if you're into such historicism, just sitting in the dining room or barroom can be quite compelling. It was for me. The food is also very good. Starting with a special flute of Lenderman's Framboise sour beer, we shared the Warsaw Pierogi appetizer (6 large discs filled with smooth mashed potato & cheese mix and covered in translucent sweet onions), and a lunch portion of Jagerschnitzel with Hunter's Sauce (two large pork fillets breaded and pan fried and topped with a delicious brown gravy, sliced lightly fried potatoes, steamed veggies & a sharp steak knife). My companion wanted a German Chocolate Cake dessert, which was an excellent choice to share. Our server was friendly and attentive. We couldn't finish our lunch and I took half to schnitzel home. Walking out, we checked out the beer garden where a few families were gathered on this mid-September Saturday afternoon. Although small, it was a simple attractive backyard with tables and large umbrellas with plenty of trees for shade and breeze. Four point five Stars.

We started with the pierogis which came out hot and with plenty of onions! Perfectly done. The salad with Gorgonzola cheese, baby spinach, cranberries, pignoli nuts; yummy. Have to comment on the steak which was perfectly cooked medium, with mashed potatoes and veggies on the side. The steak was definitely a must have again! Topped off the dinner with Apple Streudel and vanilla ice cream. Again, delicious! Will definitely be going back soon! Service was great and the staff was very attentive.
