I have been here many times.still looks the same. Went for dinner. They aways have fresh items onthere salad bar. I did not car for the beef barly soup.it as rather tastless, grease or faty broth. They always have fresh bread and there were 2 kinds of crackers for the soup. My husband had prime rib. I had a special. Shrimp, chicken pasta spinach. I did have to add salt. Black pepper, grated cheese and crushed red pepper to make it better. But even so, I would of recommend it. Fresh. The shrimp was perfect not over cooked same as the chicken and pasta. Delish. It was lightly battered but even that help up to the next day. Leftovers went down well. Tasted like more! I think they called it some sort of florenten dish. I only had a cold beer so I can not speak of any of the other choices that they may have had. I went with the thoughts of trying some German food but I was happy with my dinner chioice. This is a place off the beaten path. Well seasoned, has been around for many years. Use you GPS and head toward Sodus. Enjoy

Steger Haus is a real gem! All 3 of us had the broiled scallops, and they were PERFECTLY cooked! They were delicious! The salad bar was fresh, and the service was excellent. They seemed busy, but our meals were timely and hot. Will definitely return!

Went here this past weekend for a wedding. Call building you have to walk up a flight of stairs to…read moreget to the event space. But it's pretty well opened so you can see everything that's going on although there can be columns that can block your view, but it was not a problem. The tables are decorated nicely And the chairs were pretty comfortable. Food was served family style. We had a chicken dish, a steak dish and veggies. All good. The veggies were a little weird because they had cinnamon on it but I enjoyed them. The cocktail hour was in a different space and that was really good. They had a charcuterie board and passed around hors d'oeuvres. My favorite was the beef Wellington and the shrimp cocktail. The tacos were good too. Let me borrow. It was a little salty and the pasta that came with it a little overdone. Dessert was OK. The cake was a little dry. They had a vanilla sundae bar which was fun but I did enjoy the Smore making station that they had. We ended the night leaving with a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel and it was warm. Those who took it said they enjoyed them. we had over 150 people and never felt crowded in the room. Room to dance without feeling you're on top of each other.
