We all ordered appetizers, but it took about 20 minutes for everything to arrive because the dishes came out one at a time instead of together. The same issue happened with the salads and entrees -- no one at our table received their food at the same time. One couple ordered the beef on weck sandwiches. The beef was extremely dry and overcooked. Being from Buffalo, I know what a good beef on weck should be, and this definitely was not it. My wife ordered the scallop dinner, which came with only five very small scallops that were overcooked. I ordered the beef tips, and they were so overcooked they were almost like jerky. I sent them back, and while they did remake the dish, it took another 15 minutes. Because of the delay, everyone else at the table had already finished eating before my replacement meal arrived. Our server was around, but overall was not very attentive throughout the meal.

Twice Disappointed…read more We have now dined at this restaurant on two separate occasions, and unfortunately, both experiences left us very unimpressed--especially for a restaurant located in such a nice hotel and charging these prices. Our first experience was lunch in the spring of 2026 while we were staying at the hotel. We were extremely impressed with the hotel itself--the room, staff, and location were wonderful--so naturally we expected the restaurant to be of comparable quality. Sadly, it was not. Our food came out fairly quickly, but it was cold, and several items we ordered were missing. We then had to wait quite a while for someone to return so we could ask for the missing items and condiments, which were definitely needed to help the already subpar flavor. We left disappointed but decided perhaps it was simply an off day. We gave the restaurant another chance in August 2026 while celebrating my father-in-law's 89th birthday. Since this was dinner service, we hoped for a much better experience. His prime rib was actually very good, with no complaints other than the mashed potatoes being served cold. I ordered the Charbroiled Frenched Pork Chop, and unfortunately, it was awful. It had very little flavor and was dry and badly overcooked. The three onion rings served with it were rock hard, overcooked, and cold. They tasted as though they had been deep-fried much earlier and left sitting rather than being prepared fresh. I did send the onion rings back, but I chose not to send the pork chop back because I didn't want my 89-year-old father-in-law, who tires easily, to have to sit and wait while my meal was remade on his birthday. The coffee was another disappointment. At $15, even with a carafe provided, I certainly expected it to at least be hot. It wasn't. Our waiter was adequate and did nothing particularly wrong, but the level of service simply didn't match what I would expect at this price point. The interaction lacked the warmth, attentiveness, and polish you would normally associate with a higher-end dining experience. After two visits with many of the same issues--cold food, poorly prepared food, missing items, and service that doesn't match the prices--I don't think we can chalk this up to one bad night. The hotel itself is lovely, which makes the restaurant even more disappointing. With its location and atmosphere, this restaurant has the potential to be very good, but the kitchen and service need considerable attention. At these prices, guests should be able to expect freshly prepared, properly cooked, hot food accompanied by attentive service. Sadly, twice disappointed.

He genuinely loves and takes pride in his business which shows. Bartenders hustle! Wednesday before Thanksgiving We Speak Canadian had the bars, tables, and dance floor PACKED shoulder to shoulder. Bartenders were ontop of it and wait times were very reasonable. No favoritism at all, everyone was served promptly. Even bouncers and the owner helped clear tables, the stage edge, bathrooms, and random places people leave empty drinks. This is a safe place to see bands that tolerates zero nonsense. Security are very active and present. IDs are checked and rules are enforced to maintain a safe comfortable venue. Even metal shows aren't too rowdy. Food is absolutely amazing! Best mushroom gravy meatloaf of my life. Amazing sword fish filet. Mind blowing risotto. Great wings with a great sauce selection. Solid chicken fingers/tenders. Fresh crisp salads. Great dressings. Perfectly made cocktails. Large beer selection. Friendly fast waitresses. Very clean place! No sticky bar floors, menus, or tables. I highly recommend them for food and going to see bands live! Sure, it was a bit noisy due to their pool league being held Thursday nights, but it was still a pleasant and clean establishment. 'Wing night' was the theme, and it did not disappoint. My wife and I tried the Cajun and Garlic Parmesan wings. Both were cooked crisp and with the right amount of seasoning. Also had fried cheese curds and pretzel sticks for an appetizer which were both good. The service by our waitress was fantastic. A nice little stop, especially for lunch I'd say.
