Came here to try their menudo! They serve menudo daily, which is a major plus! Steele 94 is located in Campo (San Diego county) has live music every Fri and Sat 6:30pm - 9:30pm. Great customer service and such a great vibe! Their hefty portion of menudo ( $18.94) was tasty and they give you plenty of tendon, which happens to be my favorite menudo ingredient. They also include beef pata. (leg). Thankfully, they didn't stuff the menudo with too much hominy. Definitely will return again in the future to try their steak.

This place is dope and recommend you stopping in! Visited a friend in East SD and was looking to for a good breakfast spot before meeting up. Found this place and was stoked I did. The place was pretty laid back and chill and fit my vibe. The bartender and staff were super friendly and helpful! I got the ham and eggs and they were delicious, and great priced! Good spot to chill and grab some food and a drink! Thanks for having me!

I recently stopped at Steel 94 in Jamul with a friend to celebrate both of our birthdays. We were immediately seated and welcomed by an extensive menu with various options. We started with chips and salsa and a quesadilla, which was incredible--the cheese pull on the quesadilla was amazing, and the chips and salsa were really good too. You can't go wrong with either one. My friend ordered the nachos, and I went for the Tuesday special $5 tacos, getting one fish and two carne asada. The carne asada tacos were packed with meat and guacamole; they were so stuffed I had to eat the second one with a fork! The fish taco was just as good. To finish, we had churros for dessert, which were phenomenal and comped for our birthdays, making the experience even sweeter. Our waitress, Shirleen, was amazing and really made the meal enjoyable. It was a quick lunch, but we had a great time and would love to come back for more!

Automatic surcharge

Pros: fairly empty so quick seating. Cons: small parking area, service is SLOW, coffee is lukewarm and the food is hit and miss. For example, came once and the biscuits and gravy were phenomenal. This time, old biscuits and they were not good at all. No hazelnut creamer, only half and half and French vanilla. Had to wait for utensils. You are eating in a bar. They also charge a 4% credit/debit surcharge that you don't notice until after you hunt down your bill. Bottom line: I might give them another shot a few months down the road.

Authentic Menudo

Employees made me and the family feel welcomed as soon as we walked in. Went in on a Sunday morning it was not too busy. I ordered their authentic Menudo and it did not disappoint. Service was good, our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Would recommend and will be back.

Definitely a neighborhood place. Very relaxed and just overall friendly people, both staff and patrons. Good American bar and grill. Had waffles with sausage and they were good and fluffy. If you're a meat eater and you like bbq sauce then get the cowboy burger, the tri tip added was really good. Heavy on the bbq sauce, so you may ask for it on the side, but definitely done skip it. Get extra napkins. The fries were battered and seasoned, hot and crispy. We try to stop here when we are in the area.

Chicken flautas were excellent. They went well with our beer.

Excellent service, even the owner Miguel stopped by our table to greet us. Drinks we right on pointa nd the chicken flautas were great.

Ok so service fair at best, never asked if we needed anythingor if we were happy with the food. Hamburger $16 and really nothing special Ordered medium came well done. Glass of milk.$4.75 Look out for the 4% added for card even if you pay cash it's on there. Of course they'll take it off if you catch it. When did a $8 Hamburger become $16?

Onion rings

When we went we weren't aware reservations were necessary because of the popularity of band playing. It was my birthday and I wanted to go there. We did get seats and ordered drinks and food. My husband felt his enchiladas were dry inside and not enough sauce. My friend had the sliders which she said were just one burger cut into smaller parts for the small bun. I had the Santa Maria tri-steak which was tender and juicy but not very flavorful. The best part were the onion rings. They were very good. We would come back and try different food.

Loved the atmosphere of this restaurant! Very cozy And cute and the food was chefs kiss! I got the biscuits and gravy and it did not disappoint. We also paired it with mimosas!

We sat by the fire to stay warm and cozy (joke)

I would like to give Dolci Cafe Italiano a huge shout out and a stellar review!…read more AMAZING FOOD, SERVICE, AMBIANCE AND ATTENTIVENESS! We have found ourselves very irritable at lunchtime in our office because we have been ordering the same old lunches for years...one of us for 24 years! We sent one of the owners of the company I work for out on a mission to find new lunch spots. This is how we found Dolci! We ordered 6 different items to share so that we could try several items. Grande Lasagna Bolognese, Americana Pizza, Italian Fest Panini, Fettuccine Cartoccio, Dolci Chicken Mac & Cheese and Penne Michealangelo. Every single item was so delicious. The flavors were rich and the portions were generous! It gave the feeling of FINALLY being satisfied with lunch which we have not had in a very long time! We all agreed we needed a nap after lunch because we stuffed ourselves in the most gluttonous manner! The only problem is that we were so stuffed no one wanted to get back to work! We are very pleased with the quality of ingredients, the order being ready on time and even after driving 15-20 minutes back to the office the food was still hot! Thank you Dolci! We look forward to ordering again with you in the very near future!

The owner came out to graciously greet myself and my Partner-in-Crime, and she showed us a brunch buffet for the ages. Our food still was easy and-- most of all-- delicious! Those albondigas blew my mind. And my mind is not easily blown. Also it's like, totally family-owned, and I support the hell out of this. They are putting on their best show on thee crappiest of days to try to do so, and I just need everyone who sees this that this place is legit. MarFar's honor. It's located in a quiet spot, away from the smoky casino on the hotel side. We were told there was a 90-minute limit when we got seated, but we ended up staying there for 2 hours. And shout out to the girl around my age, she was restocking everything almost constantly! She was keeping all the food fresh and flowing!!!! She had on some pretty lashes and she was strong as hell, carrying oyster plates and fruit plates. She saw me loitering by the fruits since I was disappointed that there wasn't any more pineapple and immediately let me know she would grab some more for me. She actually went above and beyond. I wish I got her name! Food: They used to have king/snow crab legs and prime rib, but now it's just dry steak. I could barely choke it down with their ajus. I was actually so excited to try the lamb but it was insanely gamey and almost ruined my appetite. It was so dry and it was like powder on my tongue. I really regret starting my meal off with it. Their prime rib used to be sooo juicy. I was shocked. The lobster, crab, and shrimp cocktail was delicious and fit my palate very well. My family loved their oysters. Plate after plate after plate of oysters and lobster... that's how you do it! The lobster has 2 kinds, fried and grilled. The grilled was surprisingly way more salty than the fried and slightly more rubbery. After 2, I went straight for the fried ones. Crispy, more tender and juicy, and it was like they had infinite lobsters. Each one is cut in half. The shrimp was huge and plump and the crab was pretty good. I tried a few of their side items like the peppers and potatoes, not bad, but not much else. I was there to get my money's worth. The rest of the stuff wasn't restocked as much, like the lumpia, broccoli beef, but i DO WISH I TRIED OUT THE CHILAQUILES BAR. But that's meant to fill you up on the cheap stuff. My mom tried the siete mares but she said it was pretty gross. Super salty, no other flavors. It changed locations and I really prefer the old one more. It was definitely bigger. It is very pretty though, overlooking the hills with ample bar seating. It can get a little packed but nothing crazy. If you go during the morning, you get a better deal. It's definitely worth a mini road trip if you reeeeally like your oysters and lobsters.

I have never had salmon this good in my life--hands down the #1 dish of the night. If you're a fan of fish, skip everything else and just get this. The Sea Bass was fresh and the quinoa it came with was actually really tasty, but honestly, it just couldn't compete with that salmon. As for the Tomahawk set, the steak itself was great and the lobster was super fresh. However, the grilled oysters were a bit of a letdown. I get that they put salt on the bottom to keep them warm, but these were just way too salty. We also tried the Seafood Pasta, which was just "okay"--it was a little dry and came out kind of cold. On the plus side, the fried calamari was solid. The service, however, is what really makes this place. It's always top-notch here, and Ricky was especially awesome and super nice to us all night. Final thought: Even though the Tomahawk was a cool experience, I think I actually prefer the $100 set more. It feels like a better balance of flavors for the price. Still a great night out!
