Came for a smog check, came away with a really great experience. I'll definitely be coming back my next regular maintenance. Some tips for future customers. 1. This place is actually part of the VW Dealership through some type of partnership. You check in/drop-off at their office next to the VW car lot. In my case, my car was driven over to the VW Dealership service area for the actual smog. 2. Prices were incredibly reasonable. $40 out the door for a smog! Total time was about an hour (in and out) 3. It is best to call ahead just to make sure someone is ready for you at the front desk. If they are not expecting you, the check-in office might be empty and you'll need to call them at the phone number listed on the door. 4. My car got washed after the smog check. They handled the smog check well. The time to check in was a little long. The time to do the smog check was a little long. The time to check out was a little long. They are not a star certified smog check location, so if that is required on your renewal , then you can't go here. Fortunately, my car did not require that. Everyone was very friendly and respectful. The waiting areas were nice and comfortable. If you're not in a rush, this place is great. I have had other smog checks where I'm in and out in 15 minutes. This one is as closer to an hour. They did have the best price at $29.95 + $8.25 for a total of thirty-eight dollars and twenty cents. read more

Went here for a smog check. Decided on this location because they were super responsive via Yelp but weren't very nice in the sense I accidentally clicked "Star smog" and they immediately said "service not provided." When I changed the request to a standard regular smog, somehow, Yelp placed me back into this establishment's inbox. In my opinion, they should have asked, "Are you sure you want Star and not regular as your car is not before 2000?" Since some may honestly not know the difference. I chatted with them the previous week and they said they were too busy to fit me in so come Monday at 8am. Now Monday at 8am... I was 5 minutes late due to traffic and therefore concerned. LOCATION: They are attached to a Volkswagen dealership and service Volkswagen cars on one end whereas the opposite end services all cars (per one of the workers I spoke to). SERVICE: They inform me the smog specialist isn't in yet, but stuck in traffic and to come back at 9am. I hate wasting time so I grabbed breakfast. I come back at 930am. No cars are seen being serviced. Doors are locked and thus I had to call. Receptionist said she's on the other side and will be there soon. We ask how long the smog check will take and she states 20 to 30 minutes. WAITING ROOM: Phone signal is fairly slow but they provide free WiFi. Non-caffeinated tea bags, instant coffee and instant hot cocoa are provided. Hot water, cold water and non-reusable cups free to use. Restrooms are located in the other building. SMOG CHECK: Service started at 943am. Complimentary car wash with a presumed pressure wash by hand provided but for an extra 15 min wait. Completed at 1023am. Tech left the car and said nothing. Receptionist just took the keys and said you can leave. PRO TIP: bring your own pen.... Extreme blue ink pen explosion!!! I usually carry one but didn't put it back in my bag :( if you enter from the side or from the back there are zero signs of where to enter... hence keep your eye out for the orange. FINAL THOUGHTS: I found it very strange that they provided a car wash, advised me of areas I need to clean, etc. BECAUSE I only came here for a SMOG CHECK not a full work up or anything. They provided a paper copy and an electronic copy of the service... no printout of the smog certification. Isn't it strange how I went to a different smog check facility last year who took 5 to 10 minutes whereas they take 20 to 30 minutes? And how I have to do yet another smog 1 year later? These questions are up for anyone to interpret. I sincerely hope they did not mess with my car and that I do not have to do yet another smog next year. As for value, totally not worth my time. Tired of excuses. Equally annoyed that I waxed my car and they power washed without notifying me that all my wax will be removed... also slightly annoyed stating that my car is dirty. Communication is lackluster to a tee... they have my phone number, Yelp, email, etc yet did not care to inform me their tech is late / updating me with what's going on. Pretty good experience, they had a special that provided an oil change, tire rotation, and hand car wash for ~$90, which is fairly convenient. The whole service took about ~2 hours and it's comfortable enough to hang out to get work done. The location is right next to a Starbucks so can go there to get stuff done too. read more

Also I am missing part of my skid plate , not sure if was s tech or not but given that my fan shroud was all messed up, i think they forgot to put my skid plate back on. Came in for oil change came back later for diagnostic. Fan shroud is annoying as hell to put back on keeps coming. read more

I would give 4.5 stars if I could. Good - low price for post 2000 cars, which don't need tail pipe tests - clean waiting room - helpful greeter - free carwash and vacumming after testing complete - beginnings of scheduling site Bad/poor - you can't actually pick an exclusive time slot, so others might have the same time slot. I suggest to not pick late time slot without calling. There was another car getting serviced when I got there. Today, they may not be super quick. Supposedly, this issue is getting fixed. - if you are accustomed to watching the testing, this isn't the place for you. They take the car in the back to test and you aren't allowed back there. I think this is just a thing with me. - free car wash is good for 90% of us but don't ask for car wash if you only hand wash your car with hand mitts. read more

I have never been a customer at an establishment that has zero Yelp reviews, but I'm very glad I did. I urgently needed some service done, and STech was a convenient location for me and responsive to my Yelp inquiry. I was quoted a reasonable price, I called around 8:30, and was able to schedule an appointment to come in at 10. I would recommend calling to make an appointment before coming in so they can confirm availability and ensure they have the necessary parts/materials for the service. Victoria greeted me warmly when I arrived, and I found out that I was the first customer at their establishment! The waiting area was clean and comfortable with free guest Wi-Fi, which was perfect for me to get some work done as I waited. The service was completed in the expected timeframe, and came with a complimentary car wash, which my car desperately needed. Victoria, her manager, and everyone I interacted with were friendly and professional. I've never been the first customer at an establishment, but I'm very glad that I was, and I certainly intend on coming back for future services.
