I will NEVER recommend or use this company again. I will accept responsibility for not writing this review sooner. The "cleaned" (DAMAGED) our carpet on 7-03-25. I never dreamed it would cost me MORE than $550 to have everything repaired. This estimate was to repair to small areas in our bedroom and office. The carpet installer said the backing of the carpet is coming off because of using so much water on the carpet. I never got an an estimate to repair the stairs which no has ripples in it because of them. AS I SAID EARLIER I WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR NOT COMPLAINING SOONER. Bryan is extremely professional. After an exhausting move, a miscommunication with quoting the job over the phone led to some confusion at the start, but he calmly walked me through everything and we got to a resolution. Keep in mind they don't do estimates by square footage but by rooms so when you go with them make sure that you are accurately counting the rooms you need cleaned. They have some of the best pricing among their competitors. The work was great and the carpets look fantastic. Now I know why they were recommended to me. We've used Steam King multiple times over the last several years. I've always loved how our carpets look after they come but this recent time sealed the deal for me. Our toddler left out her markers one night and our dog decided to have a late night meal of them... our very nice, fluffy, CREAM colored rug was rainbow in the am ‍. Great service for a fair price. They have the tools and equipment no other carpet cleaning company has. They use a car engine in the back of the truck to heat the water to very high temperatures and run the pumps. They use a powered rotary carpet cleaning device instead of the typical streak leaving carpet wand used by many other cleaning companies. I'll for sure use them again. read more

Having moved to the Valley a couple of years ago, I was astonished at the high price of upholstery cleaners here versus the city of Chicago. It was quite frustrating...until Steam King! We have used their services twice in the past year to upholster a good amount of furniture, carpeting and rugs. The results, service quality, timeliness, value for money and sincere interest in customer feedback (the technicians are REQUIRED to have the customer complete a survey before leaving the premises). Cody went above and beyond earlier this week in all areas of the service, and also explained the importance of dryer vent cleaning which they also perform. There are so many mediocre companies out there, with high overhead and online surveys that tabulate somewhere up in the cloud. Steam King is a breath of fresh air and I am a loyal customer. I contacted Brian and scheduled for the rental to be clean. Gave him my daughter contact info. He answered all of my questions. Returned all my calls. Brian gave me a quote over the phone. After he cleaned and my daughter and roommates paid him. he gave my daughter a receipt and emailed one to the property management company as well. I first used Steam King in an apartment. I thought I would have to replace the carpet, but Brian got it looking good as new. I used him again on another apartment with the same results...carpet looks like new and I don't have to replace it. I finally used Steam King in my home. Amazing! Highly recommend! I researched many different companies before deciding to use Steam King. I couldn't have been happier with the results. Bryan is professional, extremely knowledgeable and does a wonderful job. His equipment and technique far surpasses others and his prices are very reasonable. We thought we might have to tear out the carpet in our newly-purchased home due to the smell but he was able to clean it (in less than 2 hours) to the point where it looked almost brand new and had no odor. And he showed us the hopper on the truck afterward which was disgusting but showed how thorough he cleaned. Brian just did a move out carpet cleaning for me and I'm very happy with the results. Steam King had a very reasonably minimum charge for coming out (I just had 1 room to clean) and did a great job getting the last bit of a months old coffee stain out. Bryan did an amazing job cleaning out carpet! We had dirt on our stairs and in the main room from some furnace work we had done (the furnace guys tracked the dirt into the house). After much research (gathering knowledge, looking at reviews, checking with BBB), I decided to have Bryan with Steam King come out to clean my carpet. His price was right in the middle of the quotes I received from several companies, even slightly toward the lower end. But what made me ultimately choose Bryan, was that he was very kind on the phone and spent several minutes graciously answering my questions. I also liked the idea that you will always get Bryan (since he is a one-man-operation), rather than different techs depending on the day. He is super knowledgeable about carpets and has a great machine. He was right on time, down to the minute. Very polite and respectful to me and to my home.
