This is a belated review. Tony came out after a pipe burst on Christmas and I had about 10,000 gallons of water flood into my house. He came out on Christmas day when I could not find another company that soon. He got his equipment in promptly and dried up the water. I ended up paying out of pocket, and the price was reasonable. A1 is the best customer service I have had from any company in years! It is never fun to have a leak in your home, have to stop your plans and deal with something so serious. Tony and his team responded and had someone at my home within 1.5 hours of my calling. Assessed the situation and had fans and mitigation equipment set up within 2 hours of the initial phone call. They were professional, kind and helped walk me through every step. They dealt with the insurance company directly and included me in all communication. This team helped ease my mind and as a single woman, I felt safe, informed and included in the step by step process to get my house safe again. I needed my mattress cleaned after a recent move. A1 gave me a quote a booked me all in about 5 mins via email on a Sunday evening, for a Monday afternoon appt. They arrived to clean and sanitize my mattress and I regret not taking before and after photos because the difference they made is fantastic! A+++++ What can I say, except these guys did a fantastic job! I was seriously considering getting new flooring. In fact, if my contractor hadn't bailed on me about a week before I had company coming to town, I would have. These guys saved me $7000!!! I called in the morning and they had an appointment for me that afternoon. They called when they were running behind (massive thunderstorm and hail this afternoon 5/24) and then again when they were on their way as promised. Completely understandable and appreciated. The carpet is very light beige and 15 years old. With the exception of a couple of wear spots, it now looks brand new. I will recommend these guys to all my friends and will be using them myself in the future. As a matter of fact, they're coming back to clean my vents and ductwork next week! read more

A1 is amazing! Friendly, prompt customer service. I called and we scheduled an appt for an estimate right away. They quoted me a fair price and did not try to up sell me at all. Plus, and probably most importantly, the service was fantastic! My carpets look new again and my couch and cushions smell wonderful. The A-1 Steamway team saved my Thanksgiving Holiday. They were able to come out at the last minute and clean all of my carpets. They were great! They came promptly after I called, gave me a fair estimate, were courteous and friendly, and took care of the problem efficiently and expertly. I had a water leak that flooded a significant area in my house and they were so quick and efficient that they were able to clean it up and dry it out before any mold had a chance to develop. read more

I ended up not using this company. After a friend used them, I decided to give them a try. They quoted me a price $20 more than my friend and I had less space to clean. When I challenged them, they told me that their price was a 'range.' I made the appointment anyway. In the meantime, I found a different company that could do the job for cheaper. So, I called A1 Steam Way to cancel my appointment. The person on the phone told me 'well, you'll call us back when those other guys mess up your carpet.' What? Based on that experience alone, I'm really glad I didn't contract with them. read more

Called A-1 Steamway when anther company cancelled on us 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment. Not only could they accommodate our day-of appointment request, but they showed up within an hour. Ray was extremely professional and cleaned our 2-bedroom condo in an hour. Great service and great price. I can't speak to the longevity of the cleaning, since we moved out, but the carpet looked great when we left. read more

I called Steamway on the evening of Christmas day, and was able to reach an actual person - I was definitely expecting to just go to an automated service or voicemail. My dog had gotten sick on the carpet, and we needed to show the apartment to new tenants in just three days - I was definitely panicking. The guys from A1 came out the very next morning, on the 26th. They did an amazing job, and were very courteous. They got all the stains out and the carpets look really good. I definitely recommend these guys if you need your carpets cleaned. I would highly recommend this company. We had some water damage and a bad smell because of the water issue. They came out the same day and took care of it properly. They throughly sanitized, cleaned, and fully dried the area out for good! The area is cleaner that it has ever been and there is absolutely NO smell left! I couldn't be happier with their results. I called in need of cleanup in a moment of being flustered because a wet crawlspace was not on my expectations for the day. They sent someone out in a reasonable time but could not provide an estimate. As a first time user I didn't know this was off, but it's not normal. They came in my house and the owner sat on my couch and made himself at home. He asked me to buy employees pizza and then employees wives came over and ate the food too. He left fans but didn't come back to see if the area was dry, of course charging for each day the fans were there. Took insulation out of the crawl space but left it on the side of the house for me to dispose of. All areas from the door to the crawl space were left messy and gross and were not cleaned up at all. Once he decide they were done a hefty amount was quoted and when asked to compare with other companies we were threatened with lawsuits and home liens. Don't use this company. Such a headache no professionalism and overall awful customer service. The same service can be done with less of a headache read more

These guys are great. We have a Weimeraner and two kids and they trash the carpet almost on a daily basis. We have used other services before but we found A1 Steamway and they were fantastic. I live in a very nice apartment complex but didn't want to have the management clean my carpet because I was embarrassed. My husband had bought a pair of (cheap) black rubber thongs, and would wear them as house shoes. He was in the habit of eating in front of the tv and sometime spilled stuff. When he would walk on the carpet, the thongs would leave black marks until the carpet around the coffee table was almost black. I figured that was it, I'll never get back my deposit. I called this company and decided to give them a shot - it was because it was $59 -I forget if that was for 1 room or for more, but I only wanted the living room cleaned, the other 2 companies I called had a $120 minimum. I wasn't going to spend that kind of money on a carpet that couldn't be cleaned. My best hope was that they could at least make it better. Suprize number 1 was that they came the same afternoon I called. Suprize # 2 was that the guy did an incredible job on the carpet. I mean its so clean! I could not be happier.
