We called them to setup a fire mitigation estimate walk through. They were great on the initial call and answered a ton of our questions. Additionally they have a lot of great reviews which can be hard to find for mitigators. We ended up not going with them, but it had nothing to do with their service, knowledge, etc. We'd recommend reaching out to them for an estimate if you have fire or smoke damage. read more

My project lead went on vacation halfway through the project and made little effort to communicate well with and pass the project off to their team and find a replacement team leader. Honestly, I despise working with contractors since you never know what you're going to get, deadlines are always missed, and budgets always exceeded. However, Project X delivered a quality renovation on time and on budget. Project X was referred to me by another business I trust (Stink Inc), after a failed cat urine remediation by another company for a property we own in Littleton. We were already way over budget thanks to this previous company who did a horrible job, so I was hesitant to have Danny come in and essentially re-do all of the work previously done. However, the big difference is that Danny and team were much more effective at identifying and finding the sources of odor and determining how to fix it. This entailed almost a complete gutting of the interior of the home, with the exception of the foundation, so it was neither quick nor easy. Did I mention I this was in another state? Being remote introduced more variables with Danny for even simple things like ensuring the odor was gone, picking paint colors, etc. However, Danny worked through all of these with me and was communicative and effective throughout the entire project. I would definitely use Project X again for a major project, even though I hope to never have to deal with cat urine again! I just wish Project X had offices closer to me as I'd definitely trust them to handle all of my renovation needs. read more

They did work on our kitchen sink and cabinets after water damage. The manager was nice and very responsive but the two guys that did the tiling for the back splash had to redo it three times!! It still is not correct some tiles are spaced to far & some too close & some touch each other. Also there was damage to some of the cabinets " not their fault, it was Lowe's fault" and they had to be returned but the guys did install a empty space cabinet that was damaged and they knew it was but said nothing to me or the manager. Rick the supervisor or manager came to try to fix the fine line crack with filler but it didn't work. So he said if I wanted new cabinet they have to take sink and countertop out and it already took from Nov to July to get this project done with delays from coming out of post pandemic. So the company discounted from total bill. Some of the cabinets doors are slightly uneven so when the other guy came to put the knobs on they look uneven. And the new black sink I paid for and they installed; the two guys that did the back splash tiles continued to mix the powder for them to stick the tiles on in over the sink and putting water and stirring the powder and it permanently stained the sink. I have tried to wash it off but it won't come off so they ruined the new sink right after being installed. Smh So it's more like the details need some improvement. But over all it looks nicer then the 1958 old cabinets that we had. Down side they are smaller so less cabinet space then original ones. read more

Luis, Maria, Dave, David, Danny & Jalehandro all did a wonderful job in dealing with the sudden water in my basement. They arrived in 2 hours to vacuum and pump the rain water out of the carpet. Then they left industrial fans and dehumidifiers (all rated for safety) to dry the carpet. They first pulled back the carpet, cut the soaked carpet pad and removed the baseboards. Dave returned the next day to check the moisture content of the carpet and the drywall recommending a return of the crew to continue the drying process. All were timely, professional and courteous. Pipe burst in my basement! This company is barely 1 star. They have a poor response time. It took them 7-1/2 hours to get to my house after they were scheduled. They kept calling with excuses about why they were running late. Manager Dave told me he had sent crews home and had to call a crew back in because it was after hours. Stop scrolling right now and call Project X. My grandparents are in their 90s, and they had a slow leak under their dishwasher for months. By the time we noticed, their entire hardwoods and cabinets had taken so much damage and mold, they had to be removed. Sam was our project manager, he knew the sensitivity involved with elderly clients, and he made it his priority to not only get in and get the mitigation done immediately, but he also took the reigns in working with the insurance company to make sure the approvals were expedited. Even then, there were plenty of curveballs thrown his way, but he and his team were always prepared and never phased by the unforeseen challenges. They did a truly impeccable job getting all the mold and bad wood out, and every person who came through the door was a good and trustworthy person. With all that said, we had three other mitigation estimates, and Project X was the least expensive of them all. I had a flood in my basement over the summer; I had it taken care by another company. Then 7 months later, we smelled a bad odor, like a musty smell. I called Project X Restoration. The president Danny spent an appreciative amount of the time on the phone educating me about mold. I asked his company to come out to my house to investigate the smell. I had nothing to lose; it was a free estimate. Danny came to my house and reviewed the situation. He saw nothing visible in the basement. Then he suited up: he went into my crawlspace and crawled every corner of the basement. Along his journey, he took pictures on his phone to show me. Ultimately, he let me know that there is good news - no mold. He said it was an odor coming from my sump pump; the reason why we smell the must smell only occasionally is because the sump pump isn't always running, only when it has liquid to evacuate. Danny did say that our ducts should be cleaned. This is a service Project X doesn't provide. After everything was complete, Danny shook my hand and left (after having some good laughs). I had a flood in my basement, Farmers Insurance sent this company. I have never had a flood in a basement and had no idea what to expect. They decided the carpet was ok and can be re-used, so they needed to pull up only the pad. While moving object in the way, they threw everything into a giant pile, breaking valuable items. I had a lot of childhood toys saved from the 70's, most are now broken and some are missing! I cannot say for sure these guys stole from me, but I can say for sure they had no regard for my home and belongings. While tearing out the baseboards, and I do realize they were screwed in instead of nailed, they wrecked the walls above the baseboards with deep gouges, AND left me a huge pile of dangerous pieces of baseboard, unusable, sharp and nails sticking out. I had to fight with my insurance company for MONTHS to get them to 1) remove the giant pile of scrap baseboards and 2) to fix all the drywall damage caused by Project X. I contacted Project X about the baseboards in the days after the flood, never one response. Oh, one last thing. When the carpet company came (also sent by Farmers) they were shocked the carpet was still there. They said it's Level Loop and can NEVER be restretched and saved. Plus, the way Project X cut the carpet to get to the padding, even if it were stretchable and fixable, it would have to be trashed. They cut too much and in the wrong places. I rarely leave bad reviews, but I just searched one last time for my beloved vintage toys and they are GONE. And they were right in the epicenter of everything being moved around. I contacted Project X when our family home in Denver was in very sad condition. Over time, it became a neglected home and toxic environment with mold, rat droppings and dog urine saturating the carpeting and flooring. No flooring company nor any other contractors for that matter would allow their employees work in those conditions. I hired Project X (from across the country I must add) to remove the strong smell of urine by remediating the flooring, scrubbing our walls and picking up all the rat droppings. The did a fantastic job and I began building trust with David Rope, our project manager. We next decided to demo the kitchen and bathroom (including mold removal) and they also handled that quickly and professionally, doing a great job. Our next step was to get the kitchen and bathroom slapped back into shape so that we could get renters into the home. I don't think Project X is very well known for doing this, but yet once again, David and his crew did an incredible job, completely overseeing the repairs and remodel of the entire living space. We worked closely together in picking out materials that made sense for our job and budget and David and owner Danny and their crew were wonderful and very communicative along the way. Especially since I never met anyone in person nor visited the property during the work, this says a lot about the trust I developed with them. I am a General Contractor and I have hired Project X 6 or 7 different times for water issues in my clients' homes. Project X has assisted us with locating the cause of the water leaks, containing mold issues so the problem area would be limited to only the containment area that Project X set up prior to opening up the potential mold areas, preventing any issues from going airborne and contaminating other areas of the home, and properly drying everything out. Project X has always showed up when they said they would, been extremely helpful and polite while in my clients' homes, and billed us exactly as we had agreed upon every time. They have the equipment and knowledge to ensure only the sections of the home with water damage that need to be removed are removed. Hopefully I don't have to deal with any more water damage issues, but if I do, Project X is the only company I will work with on the repairs. read more

We are so upset. We called based on Yelp and Google reviews. Turns out some of the reviews are from employees? Project started but never completed. It has been over two weeks. We are getting nothing but the run around. We will be filing a complaint with BBB immediately. Don't believe all of the positive reviews. Look at the reviewers and then call the company. They work there. What a scam! The absolute worst service. Expectations were not met. Every excuse in the book for the delays. Meanwhile the house is a mess and there is no firm end in sight. No one has any information when you talk to them, even the Owner! Stay away if you have expectations of a timely clean up, it has been way too long and now we have no choice but to wait. read more
