Team K was very hit and miss. It seems that they have a ton of turn over so the project manager who tells you the plan is gone and no one else communicates with you. Note: we did work with Team K in 2022, so I am really late in writing in this...and the whole world had a lot of turnover in 2022, so this might have changed. The different parts of the business are very different...the damage treatment is a 4 to 5 star operation...the reconstruction is a 2 star, so that's why I'm giving them a 3. They did come out promptly and the owner is very nice. The quality of their work also greatly varies. The job manager said that on a scale of 10, his guys "are 6s and 7s, but the great thing is that always come back and fix up what they might have missed". If you have an emergency leak that needs water damage treated, they are great at that. When it comes to the construction to repair/place (install new floors, trim, etc...there are better and less expensive options around. read more

Despite the neighborly advice, I'm deeply disappointed with the outcome of the project. The frequent staff and subcontractor turnover, coupled with the fact that none of the work is done by the company itself, has left me feeling let down. It's evident that the company hires cheap subs and does not provide any supervision. There is no attention to quality or safety. Here's a detailed list of the issues: Basement: 1. My door frames were cut: Instead of sliding the laminate underneath, the subcontractor cut all of my door frames up to 1/2" above the finished floor. This has caused significant inconvenience and damage, which could have been avoided if the correct procedure was followed. 2. The door frame fix would take too long and require a lot of repair costs. The only option presented to me by Team K was to patch the frames as best they could and repaint. I'm not sure why this became my problem. 3. Laminate is placed incorrectly: There are small slivers at critical areas. This tells me that the installer needed to be more experienced and pre-plan the layout of the flooring to accommodate traffic areas (e.g., doorways, transitions, etc.) 4. Transition Strip: The bathroom transition strip is just 'sitting' in place. There are no fasteners, and it pops up if stepped upon. 5. Broken laminate sheet: in the middle of a large area. How can this be fixed without cutting it out and gluing a replacement sheet? Roof: 1. Workers tried to reuse my existing waterproofing while they thought we were not watching. 2. Workers were drinking beer 30' up on the roof 3. Rubbish from the tear-off was in all my planters. Team K stated that 'they' always put plastic sheeting down to catch debris and protect the sides of the house, planters, etc. ' No plastic sheeting or tarp was used. 4. Gutters are not sized properly 5. Gutters are cheap and don't conform to the exterior wall surfaces 6. Gutter flashing is not properly installed, shaped, or functional. I have waterfalls where 1) the flashing is not in the right location, or 2) the gutter terminates too soon (i.e., there is a gap where the water comes off the roof valley) 7. Snow guards are not for asphalt installation, nor are they placed correctly. We just had heavy snow, and the guards did nothing to prevent giant 8" thick snow ledges from sliding onto the area below. Then they argued about whether there were ever guards, to begin with, and they wanted me to pay to have the correct ones placed and the old ones taken down. Simply amazing. read more

Not a well run company. We had water infiltrate our basement and called Team K out to mitigate. The workers worked their butts off snd were great! But I was initially told that the job would not exceed $3500, so I accepted that and the work began. Half way through the job I am told it may be $6000. In the end, they pulled their guys and equipment out of my basement before the floor was dry so I had to get fans to dry it. The management team came out and agreed that the job was not satisfactory. So they changed the line item names on the bill and sent the invoice. I would NEVER recommend this company. I should have stuck with SERVPRO from the beginning. read more

The team was easy to work with and really jumped on the remediation portion of our water leak amazingly fast. The only part that we had any issues with was one of their contractors for the wood install and finishing didn't initially do a great job - but Team K worked with them to come and make it right. It ended up making the process a bit longer than it should have been but we were extremely happy with how the team responded when things went wrong (and usually they will in complex situations like this). We're pleased with all their team members and just hope they can work on the one vendor issue we experienced. read more

Worked with TeamK on resolving a water leak. The work they did was satisfactory, but the service was abismal. The communication upfront was non-existant, they wouldnt give me an estimate and landed me with a $6,000 bill. The insurnace company has been trying to resolve some outstanding questions re: invoice and odd lineitem charges they included and TeamK wont get back to them. TeamK will reach out to me and demand payment and threaten sending me to collections. Less than impressed with the service and I am sure there are other water remediation companies who can clean and dry a leak just as well. read more

My family and I would score Team K an F-. The services provided by subcontractors were subpar. They eventually had to be called several times to complete projects, repair damage they created, took short cuts on material, and uncompleted the job promised. After 4 months of negotiating and delivering false promises, I contacted State Farm and asked if we could change contractors. The subcontractors actually physically threatened one of my family members. The contractors' took our tools with them as they left because they did not bring their own tools. When all is said and done, we completed a quarter of the work ourselves. Then the fun begins with payment. We waited for State Farm to mail us a check to pay Team K. The check was written to our mortgage company as well, therefore it took extra time to get the payment endorsed. We received threatening calls to place a Lein on our house. We are so very grateful to Team K Services!!! After resurfacing our floors, we experienced a water leak from the sink. Our insurance company recommended Team K. The Owner, Kyle Keegan, was there the next day as he explained what he could do for us. Then Joel and Ryan installed the equipment. They were thorough, professional, and efficient. My place of employment recently had a catastrophe involving a broken toilet that occurred over a weekend. Team K (admittedly selected in a panic) was on site less than 45 minutes after I called them, and did a fabulous job handling our immediate issues, including working around our schedules and business needs. I did have one minor issue, which I shared after getting a "How're we doing?" type of feedback request, so often seemingly ignored by businesses once submitted. I heard back from the owner/president that same day, sincerely apologizing for the issue, and ensuring me he would sit down with the people involved and use it as a training opportunity. What a fabulous response! And then, a few days later, I got a hand-written follow-up, including a gift card to buy lunch for our staff! My own experience was 4 star, but based on the response I got, I feel comfortable saying yours will very likely be 5! We contracted with Team K to repair hail damage to our home and to replace our front door. While the hail repair to the roof went off without a hitch and we are extremely happy with the quality of their products and workmanship on the roof, there were major issues with the front door. Despite the "door guy" being late and being very rude with me when they came to give me an estimate, the door jamb was installed a little crooked and the interior of the door was ordered with a lt oak finish when it was supposed to be closed to fruitwood. The guys installed the door despite my noting the incorrect color saying that there had to be a door in place. OK. It took a long time for them to show up to do the various stages of the door install. The reconstruction guy did only an OK job with wall repair around the door, the mitres on the trim work did not meet, up and he caulked the wooden trim where the quarter round meets it. He said there would be a stain guy coming next. When he finally shows up, he says he can't do the job. Next, I hear from another contractor they contacted. He can't do the job either. So he sent a third guy, who showed up and did a stellar job fixing all the errors made with this project. So we are very close to a year into this project upon completion. The office gives me a call to tell me that they know I think I paid for the first half of the door contract, but the payment had been misapplied and I owe them the full $7500 for the job. Now. Don't use this service for anything other than your roof. read more

We recently had a major water problem in our newly finished basement. Team K Services was contacted and promtply responded even though it was in the evening on a weekend. I recently had flooding in my basement due to a pipe that burst.My insurance agent referred me to Team K Services for assistance with the water damage. Team K services provided exceptional service. I was very impressed with their service and professionalism. Kyle was out to my home shortly after I called. He assessed the damage and advised how Team K could assist and provided an estimate for the services. Within a few hours, his employees were onsite. They were friendly, courteous and very professional. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They removed the wet carpet and padding and baseboards. They cleaned up the water and set up fans and a dehumidifier to dry everything out. They came back a few days later to remove the equipment and advised that everything was dry. It was a pleasure doing business with a company that shows up when they say they will, do what they say they are going to do and above all , are friendly and professional.
