I also wasn't given a heads up that they only accepted cash and checks? I feel like that's a little sketchy. They upsold me on a "pet cleaner" as I believe the previous tenants had pets and was one of the main reasons I booked a cleaning. Run from this company. I received an ad on social media and thought it might be nice to have an area rug cleaned before hosting for Thanksgiving. They called me fairly quickly to follow up. I thought the price for an area rug cleaning was much too high but the callout fee was the most expensive part and they offered to add on a carpet cleaning for our playroom for an incremental increase. As that made it a relatively good deal, we booked the cleaning. A different employee then called me less than 24 hours before the service to tell me the price was wrong and it was actually higher and the first person made an error. To be honest, the difference was negligible but the fact that we would have shopped around if given the actual price at initial consultation, essentially bullying us into taking the higher price left a very negative and unprofessional impression with me. I worked in customer service prior to moving to Finance and every time my company would have taken that small $20 loss to creative a positive client experience- especially for a new client. They could have easily spun the situation to explain that they initially quoted slightly too low and would honor the initial consult price as it was their error but if we were to book in the future (which we would have likely done in the case of positive experience), the price would be incrementally higher. Lost opportunity. Also, the representative was incredibly rude. Go somewhere else for a better price but more importantly for good service. read more

I had two second hand pieces of furniture - a small Easy Boy recliner and a medium sized Basset couch that I've had for several years - I don't know why I waited so long to have them cleaned. I had Bear come out and steam clean them a couple of days ago and the two gentlemen did a thorough, fantastic job. They were very nice and hard working guys. It took about a day for the furniture to dry and the they both look great. The colors are so much brighter. I was able to book an appointment very quickly (no waiting for someone to first come out to look at what I have and give me a price (and possibly try to upsell) and only after that schedule an appointment for the cleaning) and the price was extremely reasonable. We have used them for three years. The last time was unacceptable. They dripped dirty spots on at least three steps and the landing had a streak at least 6' long. We left the next day to go out of state for four months. Unfortunately we didn't notice the dripped stains because it was downstairs (and we hardly ever go there) until the last minute. We called and asked them to redo the steps in April when we get back and they said no that there was a three day guarantee. My apartment complex uses this company to clean their units. I received my free yearly carpet cleaning today and it was the worse customer service ever and a shitty cleaning job! I only had one bedroom and one set of stairs for them to clean and they left a strip of thick dog hair around about a three foot edge of my floor. Prior to my cleaning experience, they left a voicemail saying they were having issues getting the keys to my apartment, which at the time of the message being left, they hadn't even tried to go to the leasing office to get the keys. The other point to her voice mail is that my dogs were on the loose and that they would not be able to come into my apartment until they were caged. My dogs were I their kennel the entire time! They just bark extra loud like the 10lb dogs that they are! So when I tried to call them back to have them come back out and re clean the room, he interrupted me, told me I needed to vacuum my room of there was that much hair, mind you, my carpets are wet, before he could come back out! Then he proceeded to interrupt me again and tell me he wouldn't talk to me and that he would only speak to the leasing office. Needless to say, he didn't come back out at all!! read more

To be honest, when my basement flooded, I didn't get a choice in who responded (my townhouse company called them). I can tell you that I'm glad they chose Bear Steam Cleaning. They responded so fast, I didn't have time to sit around and wait for them. They got the water out quickly and left three blowers for two days to ensure everything was thoroughly dried out. They came back to pick up the blowers at a time when I told them I'd be available. The two guys who came out were sympathetic to my situation and just nice and efficient. If I ever have need of their services again (I hope not!), then I hope my townhouse company calls them again! read more

We had to use this company through our rental agency, before they came into our home we steam cleaned our carpets ourselves, we left the house was spotless and there were no odors what so ever! Upon our final walk through we came into a house that smelled like this company used dirty dish water to clean the carpets, four black stains in the entrance way, then left the carpets with no ventilation with the heat on causing a terrible smell in the house. Bear steam cleaning came to my house, rushed through the job, of cleaning 5 areas in less than an hour, and did not even move the small light stuff, just cleaned around it. Even parts of the exposed carpet felt dry immediately after like they just ran the vacuum over it without shampooing it. When I called to complain about it, they office staff said, "Did you ask them to move stuff? They won't do it unless you ask them." I have never in my 54 years had to ask a carpet cleaning company to do their job properly. Supposedly, they are sending them back, and I'll guess I'll have to babysit them to get them do do their job right. They have professional courteous service, they do a great job on our property, are efficient and organized, and they show up when needed. They worked so. very. hard. The living room got the steam clean and pet treatment and it really really helped make my living room "livable" again! 3)This week when I was house sitting for my in-laws I knew who to turn to for help when their basement flooded. The guys got in and did the extraction, sprayed stuff to keep the stink away, blocked up furniture that couldn't be moved, made sure we had the fans and dehumidifiers we needed as soon as it was available ... all at a great rate! They really went above and beyond. It was such a relief to know that my in-laws wouldn't have a stinky sopping wet basement when they returned from their vacation. Would give higher rating if possible. When setting up appt., I asked about cleaning of light colored micro-fiber sofas, thinking the sofas were beyond hope with water stains and ground in dirt. Instead, Bear Steam Cleaning got my sofas looking brand new. They also did an amazing job with all of the carpets, making them much cleaner than I had expected. Instead of charging more for what I anticipated to be counted as extra work, they charged a very reasonable amount and did not try to upsell.
