This place is the worst food establishment i have ever been to by far. We waited roughly 40 minutes for 2 cheeseburgers and two shakes . The only two people working where obviously on drugs and arguing with homeless looking people in the parking lot that they knew. We where the only customers the whole time .When we got the burgers they where cold soggy and disgusting . We didn't even get straws or spoons for our shakes and we couldn't ask for them because the waitress took off to the back and we didn't see her again. When we went to leave there was not a single person in sight . Not a customer or an employee . We stood in the front waiting for five minutes about to just leave some cash and head out and our waitress came out from the back just in time to get the money . I felt so gross after . Worst service ever! We waited forever to be acknowledged, the table next to us got their food and left before they took our orders. We finished our meals and are still waiting for our drinks, had to stop another waitress to ask for our drinks because our waitress was tending the line at the register. In the last 6 months, I have gone thru the drive thru twice...the first time, I ordered a burger with pickles, mustard and onion and an order of fries...the burger was loaded with everything, tomato, Mayo, lettuce...the bun was as cold as if it was just thawed from the freezer. The fries were cold as well....Today, I tried again...the burger was cold as if sitting in a fridge, and the fries were cold and soggy, plus I had to wait at least 15minutes in the parking lot for my order...This will be my last time...the quality of this restaurant has really gone down from years ago. read more

I'm going to start off by saying the food was good. That's it. Now when we sat down the menus were sticky and turned inside out the person who sat us looked at us very nastily and then about ten minutes later our waitress sat down next to me and sighed. She then took our order which included two shakes. After about 15 minutes we did not have silverware, water, or even napkins. Finally our food came up and a nice waitress, not ours, set our food down, however it was missing the chili and coleslaw. After we got that not a single person came by even thou we saw our waitress sitting at the counter talking on her phone another little girl who was supposed to have taken over for said waitress totally ignored us. 30 minutes after we ordered our shakes were finally done but my moms was wrong. So then we had to get up to find someone for Togo containers. Then our bill was wrong because when the first waitress had asked me if I wanted cheese on my triple steak burger I said yes but she not once said anything about it being extra. Then at the register the other little girl snootily told us it was 50 cents per slice. If I had known that I wouldn't have gotten it. We talked to the "supervisor" to let him know about our issues and all he said well we have a lot of people ordering shakes in the drive thru and the restaurant. The service is slow 40 minutes to get a drink really. Waitress was friendly but did I mention slow. Buns where stale fries cold. Shake was delicious. Bathroom was atrocious and smelled like it had not been cleaned in weeks, urine as well as other things everywhere. I ordered two 4for4 hot dog meals. I asked for mustard and onions on both hot dogs. And ketchup on the side, for the dry azz fries. They didn't put a drop of mustard on my hot dogs. And gave me 6 packets of ketchup for four orders of cold dry azz fries. That was nowhere near enough ketchup to make those dry azz cold fries edible. And to top it all off I didn't get four items per meal. Each meal was shorted one item. I'm not even going to mention how long I waited for this jacked up meal. The food is what you would expect at a fast food establishment. The shakes are massive and I love the affordable pricing. The reason I love this restaurant so much is because the service was spectacular. Out of all the places we dined at on the island over the week, coming out to Bradenton to eat here was the best decision we have made. Our server stayed late on her shift to take us, and she intuitively knew how to cater without us asking. She seemed a little burned out from the day but she was so polite regardless. Not even as close to being as good as the one in Sarasota on bee ridge road. The drive thru took twice as long as usual and I only had 2 cars in front of me I think I waited almost 30 minutes to get my food which stunk bc that was my whole lunch break . Food is consistent, service sucks. Takes forever to get waited on, if your lucky enough too, and you rarely get to actually have something to drink with your actual meal they either forget refills or don't bother to bring your shake until after. We beat the lunch crowd but it didn't matter, it took 40 minutes to receive our food. Waitress couldn't find us for food delivery seeing the table number was wrong on the receipt. Wife's hot dog was luke warm at best, my Prince Royal was screwed up beyond hope. Since trying this location six months ago where we had received the same poor service, we thought it might had improved, it hasn't. We moved here from Melbourne, FL. where the Steak 'N Shake was excellent, we ate there three times a week. We're done with this one. read more

My husband and I went to this Steak 'n Shake after a doctor's appointment. We waited about 10 minutes for DRINKS. The waitresses weren't busy, we could see them standing right next to the drink area having a conversation while staring at the customers. We had an elderly couple next to us that had gotten there before us, we waited 45 MINUTES for our food to get to us. The elderly man was upset and asked the waitress why we got our food first when they were here before us, the waitress had an attitude and replied with " well, I don't know what to tell you. Other than chicken tenders only take 5 minutes." Then why did it take 45 minutes to get to our table? This place is so disorganized, badly managed. Stay away from this one. I usually LOVE Steak 'n Shake. But this location, wow. The employees walk around in a daze while people are waiting to be seated and tables are filthy. Busy or not doesn't matter. I've been here about 5 times now and this was my last. I gave them a chance but it's the same every time! And do you want a shake? Well don't expect to drink it with your meal! All 5 times I've ordered shakes and not once did it arrive to the table before i was halfway done eating. Speaking of shakes, the dazed employees make them the cheapest they can. Expect an unblended mess and they use as little add ins as possible. (I've been to other steak n shakes and none of them were like this which was why i liked them so much!) You may as well save the extra dollar and get a plain shake. Oh and stay away from the bathrooms. Disgusting. Example - Last time there were maybe 5 customers eating. There were at least 6 employees behind the counter and another 6 floating around the store. We sat and watched a family wait for a table for about ten minutes before they acknowledged them yet they were all huddled by the drink area. Obviously not making shakes as again my meal was eaten by the time it came. When we walked in our waitress tried to seat us at three dirty tables. Those three tables were still dirty when we left, yet all still huddled by the drinks gabbing away. Wake up managers! I only write reviews when I commend a restaurant on a good experience I have had. I am taking the time to make an exception and write a bad review on the WORST service I have ever experienced coming from a server myself. I pull up at the drive thu, and was told to hold on one moment. I was OK with that. What I wasn't OK with was waiting 15 minutes to finally be acknowledged again to finally get my order ordered. No apology for the long wait. There were not even any cars in front of me or at the window to justify an excuse if one was given. Finally pay for my food and was told to pull up and wait. Waited 20 minutes for the food. That same girl delivered it and now just issued an "I am sorry for the wait". Those words were meaningless because half my order was wrong. I will NOT be going back again. My order should have been refunded and that restaurant needs some MASSIVE help if it wants to survive. I hope managers see these reviews. read more
