Steak-eez is the perfect spot to grab a bit after a night out, especially for a college student. All of their cheesesteaks and sandwiches are so good. They also have fry bowls that are basically loaded fries. Their steak-eez fries bowl has steak, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, banana peppers, jalapenos, bacon, cheese, with their steak-eez sauce. The service is pretty great too. The only thing that I will say is that sometimes it takes awhile to get your food but I don't mind that too much. It is a small place which I also like. It's fun to sit in a booth with your friends to talk about the night. It's the perfect college town spot for a late night bite, or if you love a good cheesesteak. read more

Not many options in Kent OH are opened for a midnight snack. This is one of the few, not bad not great places. My steak and cheese sandwich was ok . I travel for local food stops and had red flags right at entry. Honestly felt underwhelmed just by the vibes of the lone employee who appeared bored and like it was a bit of a chore having to take order. I got the signature steak with a side of bacon cheddar fries. It was decent but there's a ton of sandwich shops that stand out with more quality ingredients for the same price point. I was just at Troy grille on the same block and it was total opposite experience...enthusiastic staff who cared about what they were preparing. That went a long way. read more

My son and I stopped her before a class that he takes in the area. It is pretty straightforward cheesesteak joint. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I always appreciate it when college kids are cool with my little guy and treat him like a valued customer. Food was good. Fresh fries are always hard. They need to double fry them - they were soggy. There were hovever, a lot of them. We each had the half sandwich and fries for only $4.99. After a drink to split, we landed at just over $10. The steak sandwich was pretty good. The only good thing about my experience at Steak Eez was the food. I ordered the classic philly and my boyfriend ordered the classic burger. When the food came out he received the breakfast burger instead and when I went back in the get it corrected one of the workers argued with me about the correctness of the order and then to her coworker she complained about the amount of times she had to remake it in front of me. On top of that, the workers were not wearing masks and had no social distancing signs. So overall the service was absolutely awful but the food was incredible. So I suggest just ordering online because you'll get the correct order and don't have to wait in the very hot store. read more

So having lived for a time just outside of Philly, I'm on a constant search for a good cheese steak and quite frankly most places in Ohio are a huge let down. My wife and I done in downtown Kent quite often and have probably passed this place a 100 times. But frankly from the outside it doesn't look like much and since there is a lot of competition in Kent we have never stopped in. Well for Father's Day my beautiful bride, who knows full well about my quest for a good cheesesteak suggested we try this place, why not she was buying . Upon stepping inside I could not have been more surprised the inside was small but clean and actually pretty quaint. The cheesesteaks were actually quite good, I'm of the white cheeses (provolone, white Americans ) are the only options group and low and behold that was an option. The fries were fresh cut and perfect and although not the Philly cheese steak of my memory (which is probably of mythic proportions by now lol) but was pretty damn tasty. The best part their prices are really cheap. I will definitely be adding this to my lunch spot list. read more

So I've ordered a philly from this place and it is very unsanitary. I seen the guy in the picture who is also the manager walk in the grill area in the kitchen change his shirt and touch his shirt didn't wash his hands didnt use gloves and grabbed my philly with his bare hands to wrap it up. Then he went on to touch his cell phone that was in his pocket. He also wasn't wearing a mask during this covid pandemic. just now if i could give no stars i would. I went here and ordered 2 simple fry bowls 2 steak-eez bowls one with no jalapenos as i am allergic, waited over an hour IN STORE for my food. during my wait 5 people not only came in and ordered but got their food before i did. Finally when i got my food and went home, i found out that the order was wrong. both bowls had jalapenos on them and pepper jack cheese. Again i can not eat either of those because i am allergic. I told the person i am allergic. Then when i tried to call to tell them the order was messed up no on answered the phone. It was 10:30 at night so i know they where open. I tried to call for over an hour, no answer. So i called the next day, asked to speak to the manager. Told him the whole story, not only did he not care that the order was messed up, but instead all he said was " i am too busy right now to deal with this, can i call you back or do you just want a free sandwich?" Our first visit was today. I got the original with provolone and my husband got one with Wizz. I also ordered cheese fries and he ordered plain. What a disappointment! My sandwich had one slice of cheese and the meat was flavorless. My husband had a generous amount of cheese Wizz and he said it was quite good. And to cap it all off, there was no cheese on my cheese fries. And we were the only customers in the place. So sad. read more

just ordered for the first time today for lunch for my boyfriend and i. i must say by far the WORSE service ever they told me 45 minutes and it was a hour before i recieved my food and it was cold. mind you we only work like 5-8 minutes from the "steak-eez" location, absolutely no reason it shouldve been as late as it was. they were supposed to deliver to my boyfriends work first and delivered mine instead. we only have a set time for lunch and was highly dissappointed that i spent my lunch without food and had to eat while i worked because it arrived so late.
