March 29, 2022 "Yelps" TOP 10 BARBERSHOPS IN REDLANDS. After Leaving #5 Rated STAY SHARP BARBERSHOP I Went Back On Yelp To See What I Missed. Most 5* Yelps Are Ladies Bringing Children In And Fade Heads Needing Maintenance Cut. Mireya S. 1-Star 8/15/2O2O I'm not one to write yelp reviews, but I definitely do not recommend taking young children here! This was our 1st and only visit here! My youngest son was in tears (see photo) from pain during his razor/trim, but was too scared to say anything. This place is definitely for adults who don't mind the "rough around the edges" vibe. MY 1ST TIME YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS UP! I Arrived With Long Hair As A WALK-IN At #5 Rated Stay Sharp. Walking In I Felt Uncomfortable, A Sign, I Should Have Left. 6-Chairs With 1-Working, The First Barbers I'm Guessing, Did Not Acknowledge Me When I Walked In. I Went To A Working Lady Barber And 1-Long Hair Barber Standing Close To Her, They've The Back Chairs On Either Side. I Explained To The Lady I Had Called Earlier Today And Asked If They Cut Long Hair. I Was Told Long Hair Requires Using SCISSORS And Only 2-Barbers Here Used Scissors. The Long Hair Barber Invited Me To His Chair At The Rear. I Asked If He Was One Who Used Scissors And He Confirmed He And The Lady Across From Him Did. I Told Him I Wanted A Trim And Wanted My Hair Left Long. He Started And Ended With Shears Taking My Hair Off In Fast Sweeps Quickly. (Read Mike G. 1* yelp 10/07/20) I Said Again I Wanted It Left Long. He Says It Looks Good, I'm Going To Like It And My Wife Is Going To Love Him (Weird) When She See's Me. Again He Says She's Going To Love Me. What Kind Of Shop Is This. Clients Turned Away From The Mirror. I Could Barely See His Cuts From The Corners Of My Eyes. He Never Used Scissors To Cut My Hair Which Is Required To Cut Long Hair According To The STAY SHARP Rep. On The Phone MUSIC IS LOUD MY COMFORT JUST GOT WORSE... A Young Girl Walks In Dancing Down The Alley By All The Barbers, I'm Guessing They All Know Her. She Goes To The Back Room Hallway Right Next To Where I Sit. She's Talking With The Owner, She Goes Out Of My View Then Comes Back Into My View On The Ground Hard On Her Back. I'm Guessing Was She Smacked To The Ground. The Owner Walks Into The Doorway From The Room Then Walks Away. She Comes Out Into The Hallway But NOT Like She Came Into STAY SHARP She's Pissed And Leaves With A Face Of MAD Rage. The Barbers All Ran To The Window Including Long Hair To See What's Happening. I'm Hearing She Was Beating His Truck. Now, Long Hair's Adrenaline Was Really Kicking In From All The Excitement And HIS "TALKING And CUTTING" JUST GOT FASTER AND OUT OF CONTROL... DONE, THIS GUY TOTALLY CUT OFF MY HAIR OFF!!! HOW DO YOU STOP OUT OF CONTROL. I Just Wanted To Get Out Of This Place, Be Warned. I Pull Out Cash And Had $26.OO, I ask How Much, He Says $25. $1 Is Not Much For A Tip And I'm Not Leaving Without Tipping Not After Seeing What Just Happened To THE DANCING GIRL. He Says To Me And Pointing There's A "ATM". I Reach In And Pull A $1OO.OO From My Bank He Makes Change, I Gave Him $3O. My Hair Was Plastered Down With Whatever He Kept Spraying On. I Could Not Take That Smell Going Home. I Washed My Hair 3-Times And 3-Days Later I Can Still Smell That Awful Stink. The Mist From The Spray Must Have Gone Up My Nose... Yelps From The Past Are Not All Good! Some Happened To Me. C M. 1-Star 2/15/2022 I was looking for a good barbershop and this did not meet my expectations. Absolutely one A-MAZING Barbershop. My son received such a phenomenal haircut by Mark Gonzalez and Jeremy (Owner). We heard about this barbershop and about their fantastic cuts and hair designs that we simply had to bite the bullet and make the drive out from Irvine. The barbershop truly exudes in Customer Service and makes you feel acknowledged and welcomed from the moment you walk through the doors. I HIGHLY recommend this barbershop for the special man in your life, sons or grandsons. It's worth making the drive from any city you live in. Stay Sharp is the place to be for haircuts, beards, charcoal masks and much, much more. read more

Stay Sharp Barbershop - Come in and meet the Awesome Team at Stay Sharp Barbershop. - Barbers Near Me - Redlands, California

The staff is cool, funny, and helpful. Music is great too! $30 for a haircut with little service is extremely expensive, showed the barber my hairstyle and he did nothing close to it... unfortunately hair cut is already gone. They don't seem to care for covid guidelines which is a little bit of a red flag. I've paid much less dor haircuts with more service so I did not see the value of $30 for a poorly done cut. Maybe a different barber next time or next time not going there at all. They're not terrible or anything--just a below average experience. read more

Visited this shop for the first time today and got an awesome cut! The owner, Jeremy, who cut my hair, is so skilled and an inspiring entrepreneur. I've been looking for a shop closer to my home for a few months and I'm so happy that my search is over. I recommend this shop highly! read more

I went in to get my beard trimmed and a lineup. The barber charged me $10 more than the guy that was before for me, who got The same thing. He didn't even line up front just the sideburns and the beard. He also said the N-word with impunity as if I wasn't a black man paying for a service. Garbage experience, could've gotten $25 a week but you can keep the $40 this one time. 0 out of five stars would not recommend. read more

Fastest walk-in of my life. The stars must have aligned and mercury ain't in retrograde cuz i came in there expecting a decent hair cut experience and left completely satisfied. beyond exceptional, family. The bro Jeremy buzzed me up with a quickness, Finesse on point and locked down my hairline like a real professional. You need a razor fade? bang their line. read more

Jackie did an amazing job. Was my first time here and I was panicking because it's a Sunday and my son has his first day of school tomorrow. I was surprised we were able to find a place open and one that did walk ins. He's not picky at all and usually just gets his hair cleaned up around the edges and it has been a LONG while with being indoors the past couple of years with the pandemic. I left the cut up to her and said to just make sure the sides and back were pretty short since his hair grows fast as well as leaving some length to the top since his hair is so thick it will stand straight up if it's on the shorter side. She really had her work cut out for her and took her time. I think she did an amazing job and it's the best haircut he's got thus far. Will definitely be coming back and requesting her. read more

I'm not one to write yelp reviews, but I definitely do not recommend taking young children here for haircuts! This was our first and only visit here! My youngest son was in tears (see photo) from pain during his razor/trim, but was too scared to say anything. I gently mentioned to the barber to be more gentle, but was answered with "he's fine". Great little barbershop! Service is always excellent. I have yet to be dissatisfied with service here. I usually book with Rob. But, if he is not available there are other perfectly capable barbers there. Alexander, Jeremy and Jackie I believe is her name have all done a fine job. The decor is really cool. They have tool chests to hold all their equipment. Always some good music on and serve complimentary beverages (Soda, water and beer for those old enough) and have candy of some sort for the well behaved kids. One of my grandsons loves to go there with me. They also offer beard trimming and I believe shaving. read more

Very bad customer service!! First off they recommend to book on the cut app which we did. Showed up for appointment that was confirmed on the app. Barber never showed up. In meantime waited for 45 minutes before being told The guy wasn't coming in! They continued to take people with no appointments before my two sons who had waited over an hour. No communication no apologies. Rude people. Thought we found a good shop close to home and we were totally wrong! Shop needs some customer etiquette! read more

Stay Sharp Barbershop - Barbers Near Me - Redlands, California

I arrived with medium to long length hair wanting a simple trim around the sides and brought along a picture example of what I wanted. At no point was I made aware that the barber who tendes to me at this establishment couldn't deliver on my request. Instead of a medium length trim like I wanted, I left with a bald tapered fade. I asked for two inches off the top. Instead, I left with barely two inches left on the top--slicked back like I just rolled out of a grease factory. I have never been more embarrassed in my life. It look me half a year to grow out my hair and now I'm back to square one. During my 'haircut' I was also graced with witty banter such as: "You talk like you smoke weed." This was said after I told him that I didn't smoke weed. Likewise, as he was using a hair dryer to blow away half a year's worth my hair, he said, "This guy likes to get blown." You tell me what's wrong with that. And at the end of it all, I somehow mustered the courtesy to tip my barber. Part of me thought I could go home, wash out the grease, and that my hair would look fine. But no--it did not. Stray hairs everywhere and the bald fade I didn't want was higher on one side than on the other. It's no wonder that during my entire time in the chair he wouldn't turn me around and kept saying, "No peaking." I had to call my regular haircutter at Salon Mystique, also in Redlands, to fix this botched mess. I choose this place because it was cheaper and my regular haircutter didn't have an appointment available (for good reason because she's amazing; ask for Sang Haan). But anyway, I guess I got what I paid for. Speaking of which, please take my tip, deduct it from my barber's pay, and donate it to a charity of your choosing. Thought I was being nice during Covid-times but hot damn he doesn't deserve that tip. I'd you can't deliver, just man up, admit it, and turn the next guy away. I don't care how pretentious it sounds for a guy to say, but Salon Mystique for life! read more

Our first time here but not our last. We went to help and weren't disappointed. They offered late appointments which was a plus for us. Plus it's close to work. The atmosphere was cool and friendly when we got there and we didn't have to wait at appointment time. I had Jacqueline. (Sorry if I spelled it wrong). She was so attentive to the way I wanted my haircut. She was meticulous and spot on!! Rob cut my friends hair and he loved his attention and detail as well. This barbershop is tucked away. The staff seems fairly new and they operate by appointment. They accepted me as a walk-in. Great service and clean environment. The only negative comment I have to say is that they are too expensive. I literally only had the sides cleaned up and nothing taken off the top. It was a simple fade that took the barber 15mins and I was charged $25. Any other barber would have charged less than $15. read more
