Let me start off by saying I never really reviews unless it's a great or terrible experience. I walked in and was helped by some 19 year-old kid who had absolutely no idea what he was doing. Spent over an hour working on a zero drop fade. During the haircut, he poked me in the eye with his knuckle/finger at least 5 to 10 times. He held one of his brushes between his pinky and his ring finger the whole time and also poke me in the eye with that 4 to 5 times. When he was using the fan to blow hair away, he looked away and pointed it down at my chest which blew hair up into my eyes and nose. He was also pretty rough with the handling and moved my head 10,000 times and irritated my skin which I've never experienced in my whole life with a Barber. When I looked at the haircut at the end, he never touched the top which I asked him to and I told him the sides were not blended well. He said verbatim. " What you expect me to be some kind of detailist or some shit." he then proceeded to really quickly work on the top and the sides and said "shit" multiple times because he fucked up rushing. He gave me the mirror again and I said it's fine Just leave it as is, when he took the mirror away, he proceeded to clip away at my bangs super fast without any care or caution, which I think he did on purpose because he was pissed I wasn't happy with the cut. He never handed me the mirror to look at it again after he clipped up my bangs when I told him to leave it in the first place. Probably the worst haircut I've had in a decade and now I'm headed to my normal barber to get cleaned up. I almost didn't pay, but I didn't wanna start problems. Slow and bad haircut, unprofessional, rude, would not recommend going here ever again. I had a bad haircut here a few years back and decided to give another try, I regret that. There are three or four other barbershops within walking distance from this one that are all better experiences. read more

Asked for a warrior cut and showed the guy this video and he didn't even really look at the video just took a wild guess and thought he could do it. he asked me if I wanted it that length and I said yes numerous times. Then proceeds to cut all of my hair off and butcher my haircut. If you're cutting hair, you should only cut a little at a time and ask the customer if that's OK or if they want more off, but he just immediately cut all of my hair off without showing me what he was gonna do or anything. I would have better luck cutting my own hair in the dark than letting these guys anywhere near my hair ever again. read more

Terrible experience. My son called ahead and was told they don't take appointments, just to walk in. I even Ubered him over and got him there at 5:15 PM well before closing at 6 PM only for them to flat-out refuse service, saying they had already decided who the "last person" would be. What's the point of saying you're open until 6 if you turn people away 45 minutes early? Extremely unprofessional, misleading, and a complete waste of time and money. Painful and poor haircut experience, visited this place 6/10/2024. The barber Anthony left visible marks on the back of my neck, which are clearly the result of careless work and have caused me significant discomfort. Used poor technique to cut my hair resulting in those marks. The area where he cut is painful to the touch and feels irritated. It seemed like he was rushing my haircut and didn't pay attention to detail. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received,both in terms of quality of the haircut and the physical pain it has caused me. I've been a regular here and always tipped, but I'm starting to believe I have to go to a different barber shop. If it was a little cut it would be no big deal but you can clearly see it was more then that. Finally! A place that hoooked my boys up right! (Do NOT go to JC Penneys in Redlands. They messed up real bad). He gave a clean cut but not anything like the pictures that I showed him. See photos. Also, he charged my boys (ages 13 and 10) $15 each (men's price). Not sure why. :( Update 5/11/18 It's been 3 months and my boys' hair cut lasted beautifully by Charlie. Usually in the first 2weeks after any cut their curly hair becomes unruly and by a month turns wild. But amazingly, at 3 months later, even though they didn't get the cuts they wanted (we showed a picture) I must say this is most definitely THE best and longest lasting cut they have EVER received. This place is garbage. The bench they have for you to wait on is at an awkward angle, u can't even sit comfortably, Today there were two barbers working. I went in and signed in and waited for barber "A"cus barber "B" did not do a very good job the last time. Anyway, after 30 mins waiting some cocky wannabe Eminem punk fool walks in doesn't even sign in and gets his cut by barber A. I got up and left. The barber that took that cocky punk foo came out and said that his partner was ready for me.. I didn't wana be an a-hole and tell him that his partner ain't do a good job the last time. I expect to like what I see, especially if I'm dropping 35-45$ Barber "A" messed up by helping his "buddy" out first and not asking me who I was waiting on, especially since I was sitting on that uncomfortable crappy bench for over 30 mins, DTR lost a paying and a good tipping customer. First the bad: wait was over an hour due to their sign up sheet, you can write down your number and they'll call you back. So then they're waiting for people to come back in. Cut that out and just do first come, wait and first serve. The waiting area could use some cleaning or vacuuming at least. Maybe repair the benches people have to sit on for an hour wait ‍ Also my 6 yr olds haircut was $28 and he wasn't even a difficult fade cut. Just a 2 all the way up and half inch trim with clippers and a comb on the top. The good: Rose was super patient with my son who has sensory processing issues. She was quick and efficient. Worse customer experience ever. I had called 30 minutes prior to gauge wait time and whether they are accepting walk-ins. They mentioned no wait and so I decided to head there. I arrived 10-15 minutes later and there was a full house of people waiting along the bench. I waited practically an hour which was much more than an anticipated and tested my patience. Practically, until closing time, one barber decided to end his shift rather than cut my hair so they can close the shop possibly earlier. I stuck it out and appreciate the one employee who was willing to give me a haircut. Never again would I visit this place or recommend others on trying it out. read more

Their are some seriously talented barbers in this shop. First time visiting DTR. Walking in they had a solid atmosphere with TV's and comfortable sitting benches. Even as a walk-in it didn't take long before they had me sitting in the barbers chair and asking me for an understanding of what I was looking for. Great listening skills with an eye for details. Not much talking from this team of barbers but they knew their skills. Friendly group and I would recommend. The fees are very reasonable for a great haircut just make sure you bring cash...that's all they accept . They do have an ATM in they're lobby. read more

With my go to barber closed, I decided to give this place a try since they were a few blocks from where I lived. All three employees working at the time were giving haircuts when I got there. The place was clean and waiting area was spacious. I had no issues going in as a walk-in. I got Charlie as my barber and after the cut I got, I was pretty happy. Overall the staff was very professional and I like that it wasn't very chit chatty where they try to ask you about your day and all that stuff while the cut is going on. Prices are pretty fair as well, I can't complain with the quality cut I got. Overall experience was great and I'll definitely come back once I need another haircut. read more

I hate being the guy to leave a negative review so I only do so when absolutely necessary. My wife and I moved out here from Orange County last year, so, I had to find a barber in the area. I tried a few, didn't care for them, until I found Isaac and I'd been getting my hair cut with him ever since. Initially I found him when he was at a different shop, and when he moved shops, I had to do some detective work to figure out where he went so that I could follow him (his former shop wouldn't tell me). I LOVE the way Isaac cut my hair. So why the 1 star? Big deal here...if you book an afternoon appointment with him, you'll be fine. Book an early morning appointment, you're screwed. The first early AM appointment I had was the day before my bachelor trip and not only did he bump the appointment a little later the morning of, but he also showed up an hour later than the appointment was bumped to. Still not a huge deal. He had some story for what happened that morning so I brushed it off. Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. I had an appointment scheduled with him for the day before my WEDDING. He knew it was my wedding too. I had let my hair go a few weeks in between the cut for my bachelor party and the wedding so i was definitely in need of a haircut. Had an appointment scheduled for 8:30 AM, tried to confirm it the night before, got no response. I showed up anyways and he never showed up. I called him multiple times, texted him multiple times, and got no answer, no reply. Of course, at that point, I was kind of panicking because there was no way I could go without my hair cut before the wedding. I called the shop (since other barbers were inside and the doors were locked) and asked if they know where he is, they didn't know. I explained the situation and they essentially shrugged their shoulders. I waited outside of DTR until 9:30 AM before calling it quits. So I called my barber in Orange County, he ended up squeezing me in but what bothered me the most out of this entire ordeal is the fact that I NEVER got a follow up text or phone call apologizing for the situation or even acknowledging what happened. There was no correspondence whatsoever. I follow him on Instagram and I see him posting stuff all the time so I know he's not incapacitated. I'm a pretty understanding guy and I would have been irritated but understanding if something happened, but the lack of any action to remediate the problem even after the matter really did it for me. To this day, he never called or texted back. As much as I like the way he cuts my hair, from here on out, I will drive an hour into Orange County to get my hair cut, rather than book with him again. Unfortunate that the entire shop goes down with a 1 star review but it only takes one guy to screw it up. I've attached a screenshot of our text arrangement for reference. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone. Today Andrew cut a family members hair and he absolutely not only butchered it despite being shown a picture multiple times, but this man was extremely rude, extremely impolite, and seemed to be annoyed with whom ever kept texting him today on his phone, that he repeatedly felt the need to check through out the hair cut. I have had other barbers there cut this family members hair before and do a great job and represent this company towards its customers with class and politeness but I would never allow this employee to work for my company. I can see that other previous customers have complained before about Andrew and I am disappointed this company doesn't feel the need to resolve the issue and allow him to continue to represent DTR in a negative light. **Update 1/26/19 Recently I wrote the above review regarding DTR Cuts. The owner personally reached out to me in an email on 2 separate occasions this past week. He informed me that this type of treatment of customers is not tolerated and was immediately addressing the issue. I found DTR cuts on Yelp on Sunday when my son and I couldn't get in to Wilson's barbershop down the street because they were booked through Tuesday. When we walked in we were welcomed by Soly and He took my son right away. About 5-10 minutes later I was called up by Sandra. Soly did a good job with my son's hair and seemed quiet and serious about His work. Sandra was friendly and also serious about Her work. Did a walk in on a late Saturday afternoon about an hour before closing and were taken in. We waited only for 30 seconds. Both my sons got a low fade, hardline, and with a combover. Javi (Javier) and Adriel (i think that's how u spell it) took my boys. My boys had a lot of fun talking about the barbers racing eachother. The barbers were good sports about it.
