So I'm trying to be really sympathetic to small businesses in light of the COVID19 pandemic. But this place no longer deserves my sympathy. My fiancé called boulevard cuts around 25 minutes before we got there. They are one of the few places open in this craziness right now. BUT don't bother going unless you are one of the guys personal clients. When my fiancé called he asked if they were open and a women picked up the phone and said yes and before my fiancé even had the chance to say thank you we're on our way, she hung up the phone. Then when we got there there was one car in their parking lot and when we walked in it was the barber and his client. He asked if we set an appointment and my fiancé said ugh no the girl said you guys were open. Then the barber said yah but I'm only taking my clients. Then he went on to say the girl left 15 minutes ago and she was waiting for us apparently. Well, my personal thought is if she was going home and waiting, she wouldn't of hung up the phone so fast before we can even tell her we're on our way. Then I stepped and asked, being 6 months pregnant I will admit my patience is thin with rude and abrupt people. I asked, can you squeeze him in by any chance please? He's a marine and needs his hair cut. He said, and I quote, "Nah, man I'm only taking MY personal clients." So then I got upset and asked do you know of any other place that's open? He said, "Nope, sorry." So my fiancé, he's a bit of pusher over and nicely said, "ah it's okay man, thanks." I on the other hand was not as nice I'll admit because I strongly believe I'm treat people the way you want to be treated... so I said, "Yah man, thanks." I understand things are really bad right now, I understand. I'm one of the people who got laid off in this messy situation. But we need to be nice to each other, especially if you are still in business, you should be more professional in general, and not be rude or unprofessional and turn away business in an unsavory rude way. My fiancé called Chop & Stach Vintage Barber. The girl was nicer and said they're open till 3 and had only one walk in, I'll save there review for their profile, but I recommend going there. read more

Walked in here around noon on a weekday. Walked in, no one acknowledged me. Sat around waiting for thirty minutes and was asked by one of the barbers if I had an appointment I told him I did not. He said they were appointment only, he tells me this while standing in front of a sign that reads "walk ins welcome" 30 MINUTES AFTER I WALKED IN. LOL. If you need a fade or taper this is the place to go because that's the only two styles of haircuts they know how to do, customer service is horrible, there is a guy there name Alvino and likes to talk about how great he is at cutting hair and how he likes working out, he clearly doesn't workout he looks totally out of shape and he can't cut hair either, I didn't get what I asked for but the two guys before me got nice fades, you need to make an appointment and be ready to wait around an hour. read more

For those of you that are accustomed to decent customer service, the bare minimum of business hospitality, DO NOT bother going here. Don't waste your time receiving service from these barbers that want to blast music and watch juvenile movies via Netflix. Very original. Any appointments made are pointless; waiting in a room the size of my bedroom for 45 minutes does not justify the reason to make an appointment. In closing, you're much better off calling up your old friend from high school to request that mediocre haircut from their garage. read more

Parking sucks first of all... Then, to add to it, asked about wait time, was directed towards a "barber" who was not busy, looked at me like if I was a burden for him to get up off his ass... Then asked about using my card, replied with "cash only", seeing as he's still slowly getting up and the funny part of this first visit, is the weed smoking in the parking lot by what looks like the employees. Horrible service. I called all day on a Sunday to make an appointment and I never got through. Once you do have an appointment, there is still a 30-45 minute wait. What's the point?? I had an appointment at 1 and since the barber was "cool" with some other guy, the barber let his friend go before me. I was tired of this hole in the wall place so I switched barbershops. There the employees don't go outside for a 10 minute weed break. Apparently the "owner" of this place doesn't have the skill sets to run a professional and respectable establishment. read more

Called and made an appointment for my husband Justin today. (They take walk-ins, but do both them AND yourself a service by making on.) This barber shop is in an extremely small building, but don't let that fool you. He hasn't had this quality of service in ten years! They were extremely professional and the cut was amazing. They even used a straight razor for the line of hair on his neck! This (using a straight razor for the edge/bottom line) is a dying practice. I highly recommend Junior. Make sure you call and set up an appointment because he's always on the move and busy. My girl is a stylist and a store manager for Great Clips and she said he has given me the best fade out of the barbers I USE to see. Lines up the beard straight and on point with the straight razor. Sure you would ask yourself "well if your girl cuts hair, why doesn't she cut yours?" That's because I am very picky and he does a really really tight medium fade. I was very disappointed with the barber who works the last chair (next to the restroom). I could forgive his unfriendly demeanor and rough handling of the clippers on my head if the result was decent cut, but after I showed him a picture of what I wanted (a standard fade), and after an hour of jabbing the clippers into my ears and scalp while grunting and belching, he rudely shoved the mirror in front of me, revealing the worst haircut I've ever experienced. I actually thought he was joking around, but April Fool's Day was last week. I couldn't hold back my immediate reaction of horror, seeing that it looked nothing like the picture I had shown him, which he obviously ignored. I told him I really did not want that style, which was nowhere near my request. I could see that the damage had already been done, but because I at least wanted to get something for my $20 that I'd be paying, I asked him to trim some off the top and round it (so that it wouldn't be a such a high flattop). He obviously didn't want to do his job, as he cut a bit more, didn't show me the mirror again, and simply decided he was done. Now I look like a mix between Cameo and Trugoy the Dove from De La Soul (which wouldn't be bad if it were still the 80s). I wish he took more pride in his work, but it seems apparent that he hates his job and can't be bothered with paying customers. Next time, I'll know to wait for the other barbers in first three chairs. read more
