It was a blessing to take her and our second GSP, Harper to their place. My dogs LOVED LDR. They were able to run, hike, and play in the pond. I was fortunate to have such a great place to take my dogs. Piper lived to be 16 and up until the last weeks of her life, she still went to Lucky dog. Harper passed away sooner (GSP rescue) but absolutely adored Jeff and Susan. Jeff and Susan, the owners are fantastic people and always treated my dogs with the best care and attention. They even let us lay Piper and Harper to have their final resting place at Lucky Dog. I highly recommend this place. They not only have great daycare but the cage free boarding is a refreshing change from having to board dogs at a facility where they only get to stretch their legs a few times a day. In the yard a few days later, my husband got the water hose and our dog freaked out! She ran away from the hose and ran straight toward me. She didn't do well around the hose or loud noises like music. I know Paula has an airconditioned area where they kennel and I wonder if they wet my dog and then put her in an airconditioned kennel. When dropping her off for the first time, the man in the back yard, had a water hose with an adjustable sprayer in his hand. I wonder if they shoot the dogs with water when they want them to do something. Glad we took her out.

Upon pickup Paula showed us all of the tricks that she taught our dog and some of them weren't working while she showed us which was fine because we only cared about the potty training for the most part. We took her home and after a few days we realized she's just not potty trained at all. We took her back to be trained for an extra week and a half free of charge. The potty training seemed much better after that but definitely not perfect. Our end result was that we had a dog who was halfway potty trained (pooping inside) and that she could walk on a leash. She could also sit and stay on command. I'm not sure how she got along with the other dogs there but she had a huge fear of big dogs afterwards and we're still working to get her passed that. If you do go to get your dog trained, she offers cheaper boarding for you and first dibs on boarding. So basically she gives you the VIP treatment.

When we arrived at the Denton Veterinary Clinic, Peaches was not happy and very vocal about it. We had a very short wait and as we sat in the lobby, the staff was patient and even came over to try and talk to her and comfort her.Dr. McComas was so warm and caring. I live in Celina so it's quite a ways for me to drive to Denton but our regular vet had quoted us $1k-$1.2k for a dental cleaning for my 12 yr old cat. They said he had some tartar build up on his back molars and a bit of gingivitis in his gums and it will get worse if we don't get a cleaning done. Our pet insurance does not cover dental cleanings so it would be out of pocket. I was recommended Guardian pet Hospital from a cat rescue group on Facebook. When I called the receptionist was very friendly and quoted me $300. A phenomenal price considering what our vet was charging us. My cat went to get a pre screening done and everything was good to go! He got his cleaning done shortly after, appointment times weren't an issue and he did so well under anesthesia. The staff is very helpful and very kind and the price came out being even a little less than what they originally quoted me! I highly recommend coming here not just for the reasonable prices but also for the great experience and friendly staff. I am highly considering transferring all our pets to Guardian pet hospital even if it's a longer drive for us!

At least once a week, we take him there to see his friends and scoop him up to return home for some much needed nap time.
