The staff and managers are unhelpful, and they don't care if you don't come back! They do nothing to improve that. I was looking for a sabiki fishing lure and went to the front to ask for assistance and they said that someone would be there to assist. I waited but no one came over to help. I have bought dozens of sabiki lures in the in the past from this store so I went back to the front staff said they don't have them anymore. I'm so tired of Apathy doesn't sell but only motivates customers to walk out! Your in-store staff doesn't like customers but the feeling is mutual! I bought a sabiki lure elsewhere and will buy sporting goods on Amazon free from having to endure inept, non-service, no can do BS from in-store staff.

So we ended up going one evening and Champs had all sorts of gear - sweatshirts, jackets, sandals, shirts, track suits, and hats. I was disappointed with the women's wear. They only had 2 Pac-man shirts for women. They were the dry-fit material and I prefer 100% cotton. The shirts didn't fit right (and they ran a little small) so I opted not to buy one (saved me $28). I was feelin' the hat, but the brim was too big for my face! BOOO!!! Meanwhile, Chris went crazy and bought a sweater, shirt and hat. The staff was nice, but continued to try to "add" more items to the sale. HAHAHA Nice try, guy!!! Go PAC-MAN!!!

I went in here yesterday desperately trying to find a Christmas present for my boyfriend, I found…read morean awesome lebron james shirt (who my boyfriend loves) so I bought it not realizing I went home with the wrong size! I called this morning and the guy I spoke to told me he'd put the right size on hold for me since I planned on coming in when I got off work. Things came up at work where I couldn't go in to exchange the shirt so I called them back and asked if they could extend it just until tomorrow since I planned on going back. This is where the problem started. I spoke to a guy who told me he wouldn't extend it because they don't even do holds. I had to go so I said I'd call back and when I did call back I immediately asked for a manager. She gave me the same response and I explained it was a Christmas present and that I JUST needed the size (which was also the last one). I also explained that I live far away and it's hard for me to get over there in which she responded "well I commute from san diego so I think you'll be fine..." It ended up with her telling me she'd put it back on the floor after they closed and I might want to be there at 7 am on Christmas eve so I could get it...Christmas eve is my only day off from work besides Christmas, I really would rather not wake up before the sun to trade a shirt. Honestly, I work retail to so I understand the stress of the holidays but their customer service is probably the worst I've ever had. Not only that but the first guy I spoke to never told me their hold policy to begin with so had I known that I wouldn't have even bothered.

Let me start with saying that I am a gal who does NOT run. But I am a beginning walker with new…read morefitness goals in mind. I have been walking in these inexpensive Adidas I got at Costco for years now, and since I've been upping my activity level recently they have begun to completely break down and I decided it was time for a pair of "big girl" shoes. I walked in on a random weekday and was greeted by Brittany who finished up with the customer ahead of me and then spent the next probably hour giving me one-on-one attention because lucky for me, it wasn't a busy day at the store. She first put me on the analysis machine to see what my foot length/size is, my arch, heel width and a bunch of other details I don't even recall but apparently they all play a role in finding the right shoe. We discussed what my typical usage would be (like pavement vs trail running), what issues I have currently, and then she brought 3-4 pairs out for me to get started. I felt like a kid in Payless in the 90s running up and down the aisle to prove to my mom that the shoes fit. After each pair I shared with Brittany how they felt, what I did and didn't like, whether my heel was slipping out the back etc and she'd run to the back and grab a couple more options. We probably made it through 10 different pairs before I finally settled on one that I really liked. Side note, I really appreciate that throughout the entire process, there was absolutely zip-zilch-nada-ZERO pressure to make a purchase. I've heard horror stories from friends about other running stores, which is another reason I've avoided going to one in the past, especially since I'm a total newbie and have zero knowledge of my own to make a choice, I was worried I'd be swayed in the wrong direction. They didn't have the shoe I liked in my color preference and size on-hand, nor was it at any of the two closest stores, so Brittany was able to special order my shoes for me from the warehouse and have them shipped directly to me at no cost. She shared their return/exchange policy and I was on my way. Brittany made the whole experience such a fun and painless process - I wish I had come here sooner! Now I can officially retire my treadless, falling-apart-at-the-seams cheapie shoes and move forward with my new goals in my fancy new shoes. I will definitely be back!
